Part Eight
Part Eight:
Dinner had been a merry event, the food and wine had been plentiful and the company good, but a dark cloud seemed to hang over the whole affair. Galdor smiled at the toast in his honor and even danced with a couple of the Imladris soldiers (just to keep up appearances that he was a single elf). The twins danced with everyone and were more that a little drunk. Now that it was time for bed, Galdor had to try to round them up and get them to their room. He had Gondithen’s arm around his shoulder and was trying to pull Nórdithen up from a chair to do likewise when he heard a voice from behind him.
“Would you like some help, mellon-nin?”
Galdor looked behind himself while trying not to loose his balance and keep Gondithen upright. “That would be most appreciated, Master Erestor.” He said with a weak smile. “One would think they had never been to a feast before. I am sure they will not be having so much fun in the morning. I hope you do not think that all elves from Mithlond are given to drink this much.”
“Do not be so hard on them,” Erestor replied “They are young, and this is their first time away from home. I am sure no one thinks badly about them or their kin.” Erestor bent down and pulled Nórdithen up from the chair with ease. The twin wrapped himself around Erestor and tried to kiss him on the cheek, but Erestor moved back just in time.
“Hello, beautiful,” Nórdithen said. “Do you want to go to my room or yours?”
“Nórdithen!” Galdor was shocked at the younger elf’s behavior.
“It’s quite alright, Galdor,” Erestor said than added with a chuckle “I don’t think you could handle me, pen-neth, Even without the drink hindering you.”
Somehow Galdor and Erestor managed to get two sloppy and vulgar elves up to their rooms and into bed. “I do not envy them the headache they will have in the morning.” Galdor commented as they shut the door and headed down the hallway towards Galdor’s room, Erestor trailing slightly behind him.
“Nor I, send them to the healing wing if it is too bad, the healers have an amazing concoction that will ease their pain. I have a feeling they will not be the only ones in need of it tomorrow.” Erestor answered. By this time Galdor had reached his door and turned to find Erestor only a hand’s span away from him. His dark eyes looked in to Galdor’s and he felt his breath speed up “Would you dine with me tomorrow, Galdor?” Erestor asked in a whisper.
Galdor nodded his head before he could stop himself.
“I will send for you in the afternoon then.” Erestor said with a small smile. ~this is too easy~ he thought. “Good night, Galdor.”
“G-Good night.” Galdor replied as he slipped inside his rooms. ~you idiot! ~ He screamed at himself. ~why did you except his invitation? You know what he is doing to you. Have you forgotten about your lover, your other half? It is only dinner. What could possibly happen? ~ He argued with himself.
~Lots of things, do you not remember the first time you laid with Cirdan started out as only dinner! ~
Galdor flopped down face first on to the bed and hit his head against the pillows a couple of times ~idiot~
