She leaned against the rail of the porch, looking at the sky. She was amazed at how beautiful it could look after the storms passed after raining all day. It was starting to get annoying, no matter how much one might love the smell afterwards. There is just but so much rain a person can take before they start to look forward to the sunshine again.
She took another drag off of the clove that Elijah had been so kind to give her; despite other people's protests. "It'll calm her down, it'll help her," he had insisted. Finally the others had given up.
She was lost in thought, watching the crimson red slide from behind the clouds as the sun was setting. Lost in her mind, and memories. Trying to remember a bright day, something that could stand out and failing. She didn't even notice the sliding door opening behind her until the flick of the lighter told her that Elijah had came outside
.
"Fresh air, it really does help." He all but whispered the words, looking up at the sky.
"Yeah, sometimes it does."
The moment passed slowly for them both, the breeze catching their clothing, hair, anything it could possibly toss around and use as a toy.
"It's not that they don't want you there, you know. They just need some time right now. We all do, I'm sure."
"I know, it's nice, here. With someone who isn't so complicated, who doesn't make things harder while trying to help."
"Thank you, I think.." Elijah's words were mixed with his laughter, watching her carefully as she tossed the burnt out clove to the ground, letting the wet dirt sizzle it until it went out. "You want to order pizza tonight?"
"Yeah, that'd be nice."

Viggo sat on his bed, scribbling another poem down, trying to clear his mind from the problems that threatened to surface. He and Orlando were alone tonight, much needed. But he wondered if he would be able to get Orlando to talk to him, much less share his bed at this point in time. He kicked the covers back and stared at the door, almost willing his love to come to him.

Orlando stood in the hallway, wanting to knock. Wanting to open the door and barge right in and yell until his face turned red and he lost all nerve to ever speak again. He wanted to fall into Viggo's arms and demand a reason behind what was happening to them. He wanted.. so much, and nothing all at the same time. Slowly raising one arm, he got ready to knock.. paused and just turned the door knob instead. "Viggo?" his simple word a question more than a comment, more than a name. And he walked in.
