(NOTES)

This idea came to me a few years ago, but I never got around to

writing it. After months of the worse writers block in the history of

man, this idea came back with a vengeance! After chewing on my ankles

for the last week, I decided to sit down and write it. I must warn

you...this is a crossover between Star Wars/LOTR. It is also a AU

from a galaxy far far away in my little warped mind! **In this fic

Qui-Gon never died! As a matter of fact......it was another Master

and Apprentice team that was sent to Naboo!!! This is set a few

years after Obi-Wan has been knighted.**

**Also over the years I see that there has been some confusion on the

color of Obi-Wan's eyes. Are they blue, or are they green? For this

fic, I took the safe road and decided to combine the colors....so his

eyes are hazel!**

*Please read and review!*

Glorfindel struggled with the human male, who was thrashing around in his feverish condition. He finally ended up having to straddle the young male across his hips to keep him pinned against the cot.

"Erestor! He is a lot stronger than he looks! I don't know how much longer I can keep him pinned!" Glorfindel said, as he was once again nearly bucked off the struggling man.

"One step ahead of you!" Erestor said slightly out of breath, as he ran back into the tent.

Elronds Chief Adviser clasped a length of rope against his thin chest, as he dodged the flying missiles zipping across the tent.

This was the forth incident of projectiles dangerously streaking across the tent in the last two hours, and Erestor was the one who first noticed that this occurred every time the human male was raging with fever.

In a last desperate attempt at controlling the young male's violent thrashing, Erestor decided to bind the human to his cot.

"I got the rope!" Erestor cried out, as he moved closer to the struggling male.

Before either one of them had a chance at carrying out their plan, the rope was snatched from Erestor's hands by an invisible force, and tossed out of the tent by the tempest raging around them.

"Damn It! What is this!?" Glorfindel cried out in a frustrated growl, never expecting an answer.

"It's called a Force Storm, and it can be extremely dangerous," answered a deep voice from the entrance of the tent.

Both Erestor and Glorfindel's heads snapped around so suddenly, that the newcomers were surprised they did not do any permanent damage to themselves.

(Elrond and Company)

Elrond smiled at his long time friends, as he followed the Jedi Master into the tent. The sight that greeting them was total chaos, the tent looked as if a battle had taken place within it.

"Lord Elrond!" Was cried out in relief by both of his friends.

Elrond smiled at the greeting, and motioned with his hand towards a mountain of a human male accompanying him into the tent.

"This is Qui-Gon Jinn, and he is this young man's companion. He knows what is causing these disturbances." Elrond said at seeing the questioning looks from his friends.

Elrond watched as the large man glided easily across the tent, and Elrond likened the man's movements to that of a graceful large cat.

Qui-Gon approached the ill man's cot, and acknowledged his Captain's presence with a tilt of his head.

"If you could continue holding Obi-Wan down, I will attempt to regain control here once again." Qui-Gon requested of golden haired warrior sitting astride his former apprentice, as he knelt at the head of the cot.

Qui-Gon lifted his hands and placed them on either side of the struggling young man's head, and almost instantly the ill man stopped his thrashing.

"Obi-Wan" Elrond heard Qui-Gon whisper, just before his eyes closed in concentration.

"That's one huge man you found. Where did you run into him?" Erestor asked in the Elvish language.

Elrond smiled at his Advisor, he could clearly see that the elf was gazing at the Jedi Master with an appreciating eye.

"Actually, he ran into me." Elrond said, replying in Elvish.

"We were attacked on route to here, and he interceded between myself and an Orc arrow. Then used a glowing sword of green fire, to help defeat the attacking party." Elrond said raising an eyebrow at Erestor, who was all but drooling over the large warrior.

Elrond had to admit that the Jedi Master was an impressive figure to behold, and watching the man while in battle, was inspiring in more than one way.

(Flashback)

"So, you are the thing you refer to being as a "Jedi", and you are searching for a missing friend of yours?" Elrond asked, his mind swirling with all that he had learned in the past few hours.

"A Jedi is a who, not a thing. A Jedi is an individual who follows the will of the Force, to attempt to bring justice and peace to those who wish it. Also, our mission is to sometimes bring those who are considered to be criminals to a court of law. There are those who wish for us to mediate between two conflicting parties, in an advisory position." Qui-Gon explained, as he shifted in his saddle.

Qui-Gon was becoming more and more agitated, at the confusing emotions coming through his former Apprentice's link. He was certain now, that the injured man that the elf beside of him had told him about was the missing Obi-Wan.

"This "Force" you speak of. You said that it was an energy source that is shared by all living things, and that as "Jedi" you are capable of tapping into its energy. Is this right?" Elrond asked, deeply curious.

It was no secret that Elrond loved learning of new things and places, and it was though his love of learning that he had became a Lore Master after all."

"In a manner of speaking, yes, that is true. However it is also so much more complicated than that. That is also why I am so worried the young man your friends have found, could be my missing former apprentice. Your friends, as well as Obi-Wan could be in a dangerous situation." Qui-Gon said as he turned towards the elf.

Now that he could clearly study the person before him, Qui-Gon could see the differences between other humanoids he had encountered before, and the Elves.

To start with, Elrond's eyes were a hauntingly beautiful shade of grey. Like a late evening stormy sky, just before the rain started falling. At other times, they appeared to be liquid silver when the elf "talked" to his friends. Every time that the Elf Lord did this, Qui-Gon had felt a "buzzing" at the back of his mind.

Qui-Gon was even more surprise to learn, that Elrond had felt it every time that the Jedi Master had attempted to communicate with Obi-Wan.

The Jedi Master had nearly fallen from his horse's back, when he had learned of Elrond's age. The elf looked no older than being in his late thirties, or perhaps early forties. In no way could Qui-Gon have ever imagined that the elf was thousands of years old.

Elrond's face appeared youthful, but in his eyes you could easily see the wisdom of ages. He had waist length hair, witch was darker than the midnight sky, and was worn in a very flattering manner. Braids of many different sizes and shapes framed his face, and his hair looked as soft as silk.

"My Chief Adviser is telling me that the human male with them is very feverish, and that..........." Elrond was saying, as he came to a complete stop on his horse. Confusion was written across his face, and he appeared to be having a hard time understanding something.

Qui-Gon was snapped out of his musings at Elrond's words, and he halted his own horse next to the Elf Lord's.

"What is it?" Qui-Gon asked in a worried tone.

Elrond turned his liquid mercury eyes towards him, and Qui-Gon briefly wondered if the Elf could see him, or if he was witnessing something else.

"Erestor is saying that.....well that...err things were flying around the tent like crazed birds." Elrond said softly, and than tilted his head as if he were listening to something far away.

"Also that the man is having uncontrollable feverish rages, that seem to coincide with these....occurrences." Elrond said, as his eyes slowly returned to normal.

"A Force Storm! We must get there quickly! Obi-Wan is losing control of his abilities!" Qui-Gon said, as his voice took on a hard edge.
