Carter’s POV
Seeing that strange man answer Rachel’s door made me kind of jealous but
I'd never admit it to anyone. He never met me before so I don’t know why he
instantly became angry when he saw me. Maybe he thought I was intruding on
him and the girls? Well I don’t give a damn if I was intruding. Rachel is my girl.
She is my property! And no man is going to take her from me.
I was not about to be belittled by some pathetic excuse for a man in a costume, so
I forced my way into the house. I am of to high a status to be disrespected by a
guest in MY woman’s house. And Shannon, boy I'd like to wring her neck sometimes.
She was the only obstacle in the path of Rachel and I. Then I saw her come down
the stairs in that towel, dripping wet and I gasped. Imagining that was my prize
waiting to be unwrapped, but then I noticed that blue eyed pretty boy staring at her.
Is he trying to ruin my plan? I care nothing for Rachel except having her as another
prize on my wall. She will be my prize. I always get what I want, and I will do anything
to keep it that way. And I mean anything. That blue-eyed man looked jealous, at
Rachel pulling me into the kitchen. I’m not sure if I should worry about him, seeing
as how Rachel is already falling for me. But I will watch him, and eliminate all possible
chance for competition. I will shower her with my charm. Hmm I don’t even remember
why I came over here anymore; but I have a new reason now.
“Who are those two men?” I asked as she pulled me into the kitchen. I was blunt and
knew it. However I did not want to piss her off so I changed the subject.
“Carter what are you doing here?” Rachel asked annoyed but I could easily change her
mood.
“I just stopped by to say hi,” I replied looking down as if embarrassed. “And to invite
you out to dinner tonight,” I said giving her my best apology face. No one could resist it.
“Dinner? Aw how sweet,” she said.
‘Bingo!’ I thought.
“I’d love to!” she added with a smile.
“So I’ll pick you up at 8:00?” I asked.
“Sure. Wait I’m sorry I can’t. I’ve got company. Look how about we get together
another day? I need to finish my shower before Shannon and Elf, I mean Haldir
kill each other." She added. I didn’t know what was going on, but I was determined to
find out.
“Fine, we’ll go another day,” I said trying to keep my anger under control at being
brushed off for those men in the living room. Walking out of the kitchen I left the
house angry at the fact that she still didn’t answer my question about those men.

~Back in the dinning room~
“Alright guys, now that everyone has had shinghing to eat, why don’t we go sit and
talk in the living room.” Rachel said
“Anything you say Lady Rachel.” Legolas replied with an innocent smile.
Blushing Rachel cleared tab table.
“Is it just me or is it painfully obvious that they like each other?” Shannon asked Haldir.
“I think your right.” Haldir replied and they both started laughing.
.”Oh my God. I cannot believe you two.” Rachel said.
“What!” Haldir asked.
“You guys…laughing… together…is there something going on that I should know
about?” Rachel asked sarcastically.
“Piss off. Like I‘d do anything with that asshole” Shannon replied as she walked
into the living room.
“I call the love seat! Legolas you can sit next to me.” Rachel said, patting the
couch so that he would sit next to her.
“Why don’t you two go upstairs and get it over with already?” Shannon blurted out.
“Your jealous” Haldir added, with a smirk.
“You are so lucky Rachel is here, otherwise I’d-”
“You’d do nothing.” Haldir interrupted with a frown, finally having had enough of
Shannoattiattitude.
Everyone looked at Shannon to see her reply, but none came. Surprised herself that
he shut her up she turned towards the couch and sat down with her arms crossed, defeated.
“I can not believe you shut her up. No one has ever won an argument with
Shannon.” Rachel said trying to suppress her laugh.
“Whatever Look can we just get on with what we were going to talk about?!” Shannon
replied impatiently. Obviously embarrassed.
