Repercussions
Chapter 5 - Repercussions
He awoke the next morning with a pounding headache. He had called Liv to see what was happening and got an earful down the phone. Feeling sorry for himself, he took Billy out and they got exceedingly d. He. He opened a bleary eye and saw a blonde head poking out of the covers.
“SHIT!” he exclaimed waking the girl up.
“Morning, sexy.” She smiled and leaned in to kiss him.
“Iso sso sorry, but who are you?” he asked, actually not caring who she was.
“I’m Maggie, from last night. We met in the bar.” She looked a little upset that he did not remember.
“Sorry. I got a little drunk, I don’t remember a thing. Now I don’t wanna be rude Maggie, but I have a lot to do today, so um, maybe I’ll call you.” He muttered desperate to get rid of her and wallow in self-pity until his hangover went away.
She got up and he did not notice that she had a fantastic body, he just squinted at the floor, he saw two quickly and carelessly discarded Trojans and blushed profusely. She scribbled her number down on a piece of paper and left, blowing him a kiss as she did so. Just as she left, and Lij crashed back down on his bed, Billy appeared right in his face.
“Aaagh! Billy. You almost gave me a heart attack, what are you doing?” he yelled.
“Brought you some porridge, seems like you’d need it after last night, soak up some of that alcohol. Who was that? Maggie from the bar?” he asked, looking impressed.
“Apparently. I don’t remember, then I wake up and she’s in my bed.” Elijah grunted, still feeling drunk
“Well, she’s a corker I can tell ya that lad. Sexy as shit.”
Elijah tried to understand that rem remark, but he decided trying to think was too much for him.
“Oi. You listening to me or not? I said you’re mum is coming down in a few minutes to see you, ya drunken eejit. You’d better get up and wash – you stink.” With that and a well chosen finger sticking up at him, Billy left the room, to waylay Mrs. Wood before she saw what a state her son was in.
Elijah managed to pull himself out of bed; he quickly discarded to evidence properly and stumbled into the shower where he promptly threw up. He felt better after that and climbed out, he was still toweling his hair dry when his mum burst into the room, having got past Billy, who looked in, quickly scanned the flooen ren retreated with a smirk.
“Hey mom, what’s up?” he asked as she stalked across the room and began straightening the place up.
She produced a newspaper and a couple of magazines, brandishing them at him like they were hand grenades.
“You were in a car crash and you didn’t tell me?!” she thundered.
“Er, yeah. Wait, how did that get in the paper?” he squeaked nervously and grabbed at the article, which he scanned quickly.
ELIJAH’S BLOODY CRASH
HAS HE GONE TOO FAR THIS TIME?
By Riay Night
A girl, as yet her name is unknown, was pulling out of a mall parking lot when Elijah Wood, the star of films such as Lord of The Rings and The Ice Storm, who did not have his eyes on the road, eyewitnesses tell us, slammed right into her car, severely wounding her. The girl then began shouting at the star, who it was overheard trying to use his status as a means of escaping too much of the repercussions of his actions. He then took the poor girl to Liv Tyler’s nearby home, where he is thought to have been staying for the past two weeks who then took her to the hospital. Elijah, for his part then left Massachusetts and boarded a plane back to California, seemingly uncaring about the wounded girl’s fate. He was seen drinking with his fellow hobbit, Billy Boyd (Peregrin Took) from the massive trilogy and left with a blonde woman in the early hours of the morning. The young girl he hit having just been released from hospital with orders for bed rest.
Is this how one of our youth’s role models should behave?
He read the article and gasped. He had not realized they had been caught on camera, and there were pictures plastered all over the papers and magazines his mom had brought in, pictures of Anya with her head split open, of her wrecked car, of Liv taking her into the hospital, and of his canoodling with Maggie and leaving the bar with her. He gulped and looked into the furious face of his mother and cringed as she launched a tirade against him.
