Haldir bowed his head ,,thank you m’lord’’ and walked inside, thinking of a strategy that would make Legolas happy, then he knew, he did not like it himself, but was sure it would give the princeling happiness.

Legolas saw Haldir and smiled and walked to him ,,I’m sorry I was so mean to you, it’s just that everyone only thinks at me as a future slave, I couldn’t take it anymore and I took it out on you, which I shouldn’t have done, I’m truly sorry’’

Haldir smiled ,,I understand, it’s okay, so…who is the next appointed to you?’’

Legolas ed ,ed ,,Thankfully lord Celeborn was the last for today’’

Haldir smiled ,,Like to join me for a walk in the woods then, cause I don’t know my way around here in these woods yet’’

Legolas smiled and nodded ,,I’d love to show you around’’ He was happy that Haldir was there, he seemed to be the only one that doesn’t see him as a slave. He walked outside, followed by Haldir and took him into the woods. After a while Haldir stopped walking, Legolas looked at him with confusion ,,is something wrong Haldir?’’

Haldir turned to him ,,Your father has grant me five days to prove I can bring you happiness, give me the chance and I will give it to you’’

Legolas looked at him, perhaps he was wrong about Haldir after all.

Haldir looked at him ,,Like I told you earlier, I do not want you as a slave, I will treat you equally and give you everything you need and all the freedom you want, I will never hurt you nor force you to do things you do not want to do’’

Legolas showed a smile and gave Haldir a hug ,,thank you’’

Haldir smiled and held him close. Now for his father, he knew Thranduil wasn’t going to give his son away for nothing, he would have to trade, he knew with what dit did not really want to think of it, he just had to get it over with and forget it again as soon as possible.

Legolas was very thankful ,,How can I ever repay you for this?’’ He would give him anything he wanted for all the kindness he had showed.

Haldir looked at him ,,I would very much like it if, when you have your freedom that you would honour me with a visit every once in a while.’’

Legolas looked at him with surprise, he would have never expected that, he did not ask him to be intimate with him, he was speaking the truth, he does care. He looked at Haldir ,,Could I live with you? Cause I do not have a home anymore’’

Haldir looked at him with compassion, he really did not understand how Thranduil could do
that to such a lovely being ,,of course vanya nau, I will have a room prepared for you right when we get back at your father’s palace, I will send one of the other guards back to lothlorien to arrange it’’

Legolas looked at him and smiled, though he felt weird inside, a bit sad, he did not understand why he felt like that, it happened when Haldir told him he would have his own room, not sleeping in the same room as him.
