Two of a Kind
Chapter 3 ~Two of a Kind~
"What was it?" Shannon demandedher her friend Rachel, Shannon glanced at the two characters that lay before them and wondered if they were witches of some kind. They had odd dressings after all. I hadn't liked they way they had appeared. I tended to be superstitious of everything.
"It's them." Rachel said pointing to them. Rachel couldn't believe it. It was them in the flesh from thorieories that she has been told by family members.
Shannon looked at her annoyed. "Who are they?"I glanced at them and noticed how they almost looked god like, like some Greek gods, perfect in body but where they perfect in the mind or some nut cases lose from the nut house.
"They are elfs." She said as she walked up to one of them and touched one."From Middle earth."
"Do not do that;you've don't know where they have been!" Shannon said pulling her arm back.
"I'm sure they don't have anything that we could get."Rachel retorted back.
"We won't bite."One of them said suddenly and I jumped and almost would have fallen, but one of the elfs was so fast that he picked me up before Shannon fell.
"You can put me down." Shannon stated. But he seemed to like holding me. Shannon glared at the blond haired blue eyed elf. He was arrogant looking and demanding. But she looked at his lips and wondered if they were kissable.
Haldir glanced at the women he was holding. Demanding and rude. He didn't know what she'd do if he did put her down, so that is why he kept holding her. He looked at her friend with a weary glance. But he had to admit she was beautiful.
"Someone who's demanding just like you." Legolas said to Haldir, which earned him a glare; from the march warden. Rachel shook her head laughing. Shannon glared at Rachel.
Haldir walked over to Legolas still holding Shannon and began to mumble some kind of strange language and getting irritated and kept giving her strange looks. "Speak in english please so we can all understand!" Shannon in an irate voice.
Haldir glanced at Legolas and said something in that strange language again and then rolled his eyes heavenward. "I feel the same way, Elf boy."Shannon said not missing Haldir's look.
"Now put me down would you? Or you won't like the consequences!"
"I doubt you could do anything to harm me."Haldir said as he dropped her on the ground without ceremony. "You are to small to do anything." Shannon just rolled her eyes as she got up and brushed herself off.
"Listen, we'd better get going to our house. Ok ?" Rachel asked.
"No way! We are not taking them to our house! We don't know what they would do." Shannon said as she crossed her arms across her chest.
"We can't leave them here!" Rachel said getting into an argumentative voice with her friend.
"What if they rape and kill us ?"
"I assure you lady we would not do that." Haldir said with a raised eyebrow as if mocking Shannon.
"First lets do introductions. I"m Rachel and this is Shannon."
Legolas bowed."I am Legolas, Prince of Mirkwood and this is Haldir of Lorien."
"The circus has come to town." Shannon mumbled.
"Nice to meet you both." Rachel glared at Shannon and pushed her into the direction of the house. Haldir followed the small angry women who seemed just as angry as he felt sometimes. He wondered what bothered her so much.
"Is she always like this?" Legolas asked Rachel
"No, she was attacked several years ago and dosen't like strangers that much. Plus she is somewhat superstitious of people who just come out of no where."Rachel said. Legolas nodded and held out his arm for Rachel and she took it.
Haldir hoped that they would find out what happened and soon...He didn't like this position one bit for it was all so strange.
