Chapter 17.
Chapter 17.
Glorfindel noticed that Thranduil seemed somewhat pensive.
“Would you tell me what you think, meleth (love)?” The Elda asked gently. He had decided that from now on, he wanted to share everything with Thranduil. He had had enough of hiding and secrecy.
“You don’t need to seem so worried, ind nín (my heart).” Thranduil chuckled. He was happy after seeing that Glorfindel wanted to get know him and his thoughts. Never had he had someone to share all his thoughts with. “I just wondered why you were so determined that I know Elrond was unavailable when I wanted to meet with him.”
Glorfindel burst out laughing. “I will tell you but I think you will want to thank them? I stopped you because I myself tried to leave some papers for Elrond, but I didn’t dare enter his study. After hearing some…noises which told me that Erestor was visiting at Elrond.”
“But… didn’t you check Elrond’s study? Why did you go to their private chambers?” Thranduil asked, not quite grasping what Glorfindel tried to tell to him.
“I ‘did’ go to the Elrond’s study. I just thought that maybe it was not the best moment to interrupt, when Imladris’ Lord is getting laid by his husband. I must say that our little Erestor made him beg quite beautifully. What do you think? Did they use a desk or…” Glorfindel chuckled heartily, and to his delight, saw Thranduil blushing furiously.
“Dear Manwë! I already noticed that they had serious difficulties keeping their hands away from each other, but this… I’m so glad you stopped me.” Thranduil whispered, embarrassed.
“Oh, meleth, so am I, and mostly because I have you now. I was a fool when I tried to deny you. So… don’t you think we should thank them?” Glorfindel said, still smiling.
“You are right. Do you think they will manage to make it to dinner?” Thranduil smirked.
“Why don’t we go and check? They will be very surprised seeing us together.” Glorfindel suggested.
“Why don’t we, indeed… but first I …” Thranduil purred, nuzzling Glorfindel’s neck. The Elda didn’t mind. Thranduil’s caress felt so delicious that he wanted it to continue as long as possible. Suddenly he felt sharp pain, and he realized that Thranduil had given him a very visible love-bite. Not even tunic with high collar would hide it.
“Why in Arda did you do that?” Glorfindel wondered, though he wasn’t really offended.
“I said you would be mine after I have had you. I just wanted to show my possession to everyone.” Thranduil said with a low voice and a challenging gaze in his eyes.
“I am yours, meleth, now and always. I love you very much and you couldn’t get rid of me even if you tried.” Glorfindel assured. The Elda realized that Thranduil was still insecure about him, and he wasn’t surprised. After all he had done, he should have expected something like this.
“It will take me some time to believe that this has really happened. I was so sure that you would never want me… that you only danced with me out of politeness. I may be the King, but I want people to seek my company because they really want it, not because of duty or pity.”
“I’m so sorry, Thranduil nín. I can see now that I have hurt you deeply. With you, I have never felt pity. I fell in love with you the very first moment I saw you and that has never changed. Saes (please), believe me.” Glorfindel whispered, his heart aching.
“I believe you. But I have decided that I want to bind with you as soon as possible.” Thranduil said, smiling.
“Nothing would make me happier. Just say when and I’m ready.”
Thranduil shivered. He had noticed that he too was more than ready. How was possible to recover so soon? He didn’t bother to think about it more. He wanted Glorfindel. Now.
“I can feel that you really are ready for me, meleth.” Thranduil purred, taking Glorfindel’s arousal in his hand and stroking it slowly.
“Oh… aye!” Was the only that Glorfindel managed to say, when Thranduil possessed him again, making him moan helplessly.

They managed to make their way to the dinner, almost in time.
Erestor and Elrond stared with their mouths agape at the obviously happy couple. Both radiated happiness and affection.
“Good evening, Elrond, Erestor.” Glorfindel said, slightly blushing, when they had finally reached the table. Thranduil sat in his place beside Elrond, but this time Glorfindel sat beside Erestor, so that he could talk with him. He tried not to flinch when he sat down.
Erestor smiled broadly at his friend, relieved that Glorfindel and King Thranduil had succeeded in solving the problems between them.
“And how in Arda did this happen?” Erestor asked, whispering to his friend.
Glorfindel smirked when he whispered back, “We were both seeking Elrond today, but he was… obviously too busy to see us. So we had to get along without him.” The Elda fully enjoying the fierce blush that appeared on Erestor’s beautiful face.
“Oh… I’m sorry if I interrupted something important.” Erestor managed to say, weakly.
Glorfindel laughed teasingly. “Don’t be sorry, meldir (my friend). I should thank you. If Thranduil and I didn’t meet right there and then, we wouldn’t be together now. We are to be bound.”
“I’m so glad to hear that, Glorfindel. You deserve nothing but happiness, and Thranduil seems suitable for you.” Erestor smiled, happy for his friend but also a little embarrassed for being caught. He hoped that Thranduil didn’t say anything to Elrond about the incident.
“Doesn’t it bother you that I have found someone, even if Ecthelion…” Glorfindel asked, hesitantly. He didn’t want Erestor think that he had forgotten his first mate completely. Ecthelion would always stay in his heart, among other happy memories from his former life.
“Of course not! Why should it? I loved my brother, but I know he wouldn’t want you to dwell in sorrow for rest of your life. Enjoy your life, and the love you have found. You and the King will make a wonderful couple.” Erestor said, surprised by Glorfindel’s question.
“I’m so happy to hear that. I love Thranduil very much, but I don’t want you to think that I have forgotten Ecthelion. I loved him deeply, but I cannot let my past with him prevent this happiness for us. I almost lost Thranduil because of my foolishness.”
“I have hoped that you would tell me your thoughts about Ecthelion. You have kept everything inside you and whenever I tried to talk about him, you fell into silence. I haven’t had even opportunity to tell you that I have a little pillar here, in Imladris, made to the memory of my dear brother.” Erestor whispered, tears in his eyes. He still missed his brother, though he had passed several millennia ago.
“I’m so sorry! I dwelled in my misery for far too long. Without it, I would have noticed that you needed help earlier. I wasn’t there for you as I promised. And I hurt Thranduil too.” Glorfindel hung his head. He had caused so much pain with his meaningless grasping to the past.
“Don’t do that! Don’t you think we have had enough of misery? Now we have everything we need to be happy. You have found love and happiness with the King, and I am very happy with Elrond. Let’s focus on what we have, not to past and long forgotten mistakes.”
“You are wise. Ecthelion would have been very proud of you. And Elrond is very lucky to have your love.” Glorfindel whispered his voice thick with emotion.
Erestor didn’t answer.
// Are you all right, meleth? I can feel that you are upset about something?// Elrond’s voice suddenly echoed in his mind.
//Everything is fine. I love you, Elrond nín.// Erestor’s smiled at his hervenn.
“Erestor?” Glorfindel asked.
“Forgive me, Glorfindel. I was distracted for a moment.” Erestor finally said, turning his attention back to his friend.
“I forgive you… on one condition.” Glorfindel whispered wickedly. He couldn’t resist the temptation to tease Erestor for a little.
“And what would that condition be?” Erestor asked, suspiciously. The gleam in Glorfindel’s eyes didn’t promise any good.
“You must tell me… did you use floor or the desk?” The Elda asked, a teasing smile on his face.
“That knowledge you will have to wait to have until the Orodruin itself has frozen!” Erestor hissed, blushing in crimson. Glorfindel burst out with heartfelt laughing.
Glorfindel noticed that Thranduil seemed somewhat pensive.
