Here is the next part, let me know what you think!

Cirdan had not been able to concentrate on his work for the last few days. The incident with Daemir weighed heavy on his mind. Usually the presence of Galdor would help his uneasiness, but he was far away and the memory of him was of little consolation.

He had taken to walking along the beach after sunset to try to ease his troubled thoughts. Daemir had, thankfully, been avoiding him since the night he had snuck into his room. He was the last elf Cirdan wanted to see, and all the interaction that would normally take place between them was handled by an undersecretary.

As he looked out at the sinking sun over the water his thoughts drifted to Galdor who was hundreds of miles away. He remembered the first time they had met. Galdor had been so young, just past his majority and just starting his work as an assistant to one of the advisors of Cirdan’s court. He had been so star struck to meet the ancient elf lord. It did not take long for Galdor to prove his worth and move up in to ranks of the Mithlond council. Cirdan had been taken with his youthful exuberance from the first moment they had meet, but he knew it would come to no good if they became involved. He wanted what was best for Galdor and if those around them thought he had gained his station because he was the lover of the Lord of the Havens, Cirdan would not be able to stand it.

Once Galdor was a member of the advisors, Cirdan could no longer hide his feelings for him. He asked Galdor to dine with him in his chambers as a celebration. Galdor had reluctantly agreed, not because he did not want to dine with the elf lord, but because he was afraid he would make a fool of himself in some way. Cirdan later found out he almost declined. He was so nervous to be dining with the elf lord he became sick before hand.

When Cirdan opened the door to allow Galdor entry, his breath caught in his throat, he was beautiful. After thousands of years being alone Cirdan knew that he would make this elf his own.

To this day Cirdan could not remember what they had eaten, too wrapped up was he in the elf that sat across the table from him. When the meal was over they had moved to the floor in front of the fire to play a game of chess. Cirdan could not concentrate and when he reached to make a move, he clumsily knocked over Galdor’s king. They both reached to save it at the same time, when their hands met sparks flew. Cirdan pulled Galdor close and kissed him deeply as he had longed to do for months. He was thrilled to feel Galdor respond to the kiss and wrapped his arms around the younger elf, the game board forgotten. When they came up for air Galdor’s large green eyes stared into Cirdan’s.

“My lord, I am sorry. I should go.” Galdor said breathlessly and began to rise but Cirdan pulled him back down even closer.

“Sorry for what? I kissed you, Galdor, and I would like to do it again if you will let me. I have loved you for a long time. Please tell me you have some feelings for me.”

“I am so confused, my lord. I do have feelings for you, but you are my lord, and I have always felt that my feelings were wrong. How could you love someone who is so far beneath you. I am no one compared to your wisdom and grace.”

“Oh, Galdor, you are so much more than you think. You are beautiful and wise for your years, and you have a fire inside you that has set a spark off in my soul. I don’t think I could live without you now that I have found you. Please let me make you mine. Let me claim you as my own.” With that Cirdan took his mouth in another heated kiss. Galdor’s arms found their way around Cirdan’s neck as he pulled him down to the furs they were seated on and on top of him.

“Yes, make me yours,” Galdor whispered heatedly when the kiss broke. He felt lightheaded and consumed by the unknown emotions of lust and love he was having for the elf staring down at him. Galdor was untouched and the feelings Cirdan was igniting in him were wonderful and frightening at the same time.

“Please, my love, go slow, I have never done this before.”

“I know, Galdor, I will take care of you,” he lifted his little treasure and carried him to the bedroom and deposited him on his large bed which had been cold for far too long.

Cirdan was ripped from his memories by a frantic voice in his head, knocking him off his feet with the intensity

~ Oh Cirdan, Cirdan give me strength. What should I do?~

“Galdor!” he said aloud. He knew it was his lover’s voice echoing in his head but they had never been able to farspeak with each other, and Galdor should be safe in Imladiris by now. What could be happening to him that he would need help.

~Galdor~ Cirdan tried to reach his mind and grasp the connection he had felt so strongly moments before but did not receive an answer. But there was no doubting it was Galdor’s voice he had heard and his little love needed him. Cirdan rose from the sand where he had fallen and rushed to his chambers.

The Lord of the Havens running through the streets and the halls was a site that had the residence talking for a long time to come. Daemir had just exited his office when Cirdan rushed by. “My Lord?” he called so stunned he forgot he was avoiding Cirdan. When he received no answer he followed Cirdan to his chambers and found him throwing traveling cloths into a bag.

“My lord, what is the meaning of this, where are you going?”

“I am going to Imladiris.” Cirdan replied matter of factly.

“Imladris? I thought we agreed it was unwise for you to leave the havens, you can not go.”

Cirdan stood straight to his full height and looked Daemir in the eye “Who are you to tell me what I must and must not do? Galdor needs me and I am going to him.”

“My Lord, what has happened? How do you know Galdor needs you?

“He farspoke with me just a few minutes ago, he needs my help.”

“Please see reason, even if it were wise to leave your realm by the time you reached Imladiris any hurt that has been dealt to Galdor or threat he is facing will be long gone. Please send someone else, I will gladly go.”

“You would travel to Imladris to help Galdor?” Cirdan said skeptically.

“If it meant you staying here and safe, I would go in a heart beat. We know that the nine are abroad, you were a ring bearer, Sauron doesn’t know you have given it away. If they were to find you in the wilds alone, they would kill you or worse take you to him. You must stay here where it is safer.”

Cirdan sat heavily on the bed all the wind gone out of his sails. “You are right, Daemir,” he sighed. “I was thinking with my heart and not my head. I just hate being so far from him and unable to help when he needs me.”

“You really do love him don’t you?”

“More then anything or anyone I have ever loved, he is the other half of my soul and if we can farspeak our connection must be even deeper than I thought.”

“Have you tried to speak back to him?”

“Yes, but I did not get an answer.”

“I would keep trying, my lord.”

************************************************************************

Galdor had retired to his bed but he could not sleep. He was not afraid of Erestor, he knew that Glorfindel’s threat would be taken seriously and Erestor would not bother him again. He could not get the desperation he had seen to Erestor’s eyes out of his head. When Glorfindel had shown up Erestor had changed into a completely different elf. He looked like a lost elfling, not the chief counselor.

The guilt Galdor felt was also laying heavy on his mind. He knew it was not he fault that Erestor had touched him so intimately but he had put himself in that situation. His pride had not allowed him to turn down Erestor’s invitation to dinner, even though he knew the older elf might be lusting after him. Why had he not just sent a note to Erestor and gone to dinner with the twins? Then none of this would have happened and Galdor would not be feeling as if he had betrayed his lover.

Galdor was curled up on his side thinking about Cirdan when a softness brushed his mind.

~Galdor, please answer me, my love. ~

Galdor shot up in bed. ~Cirdan? ~

~Thank the Valar, you can hear me, Galdor? ~

~Yes I can. How is this possible? ~

~Galdor, are you well? I heard you call to me over an hour ago.~

~You heard me? Yes, I am well now, Glorfindel helped me. ~ He did not want to tell Cirdan what had happened yet.

~What happened? Were you hurt? ~ Cirdan’s voice sounded frantic.

~No, I was frightened. I thought someone was going to hurt me. I still can’t believe we are able to farspeek. Are you well? I miss you terribly and wish I were home right now~
~I miss you too, young one. Now that I know you are safe I can rest easier. Has the council been held yet? ~

~No, the Hobbit has only arrived yesterday and he was injured. I suspect it will be a few more day yet, and then hopefully we can begin our journey home. ~

~Galdor, please don’t be in too much of a hurry to get home. You know I miss you but please enjoy the time that you have in the House of Elrond, there are many things that you can learn, and I don’t want you to travel if the roads are not safe. Ask the advice of Glorfindel, he will not steer you wrong. And know I must go I feel a little drained. If we practice we will be able to hold our connection for longer periods of time. I will talk with you again soon. I love you with all of my being.~

~And I you, my love~ With that Cirdan’s presence was gone from his mind and Galdor felt an emptiness fill his heart.
