~Territory~
(Hey guys just warning you this is a short chapter. But chapter 12 will be longer and full of action:-) and there is also some bad words in here so forgive me but it was the best way to express shannons character.
~Territory~
“Hey Rach, wake up” Shannon whispered with a hint of excitement in her voice.
“Mmm Shannon let me sleep please? I‘m having the best dream about Legolas giving me a massage, just let him finish.” Rachel whined sleepily.
“Carter just called, he said something about you two going out to dinner tomorrow.” Shannon said losing her enthusiasm.
At the mention of carters name Rachel sat up remembering she did promise him dinner.
“Oh you’re right. I forgot hmm. Wait you got excited about Carter?” Rachel asked.
“No!” Shannon said with disgust. “ I wanted to tell you about Legolas and Haldir.” Shannon said turning away as if the subject wasn’t important anymore although she was dying to tell Rachel what she overheard.
“What about Legolas? What did he say?” Rachel asked wide eyed.
“Ok, I was at the top of the stairs when I heard Elf boy and Legolas arguing about you.” A huge grin appeared on her face, as she jumped on the bed.
“And come on spill it already” Rachel begged impatiently.
“Well apparently Legolas is smitten with you. I heard him saying something about a love between someone named Argorn or Airgin or something and Arlen or Armen or something and that it could work between you two. The next thing I know Legolas is going off on Haldir about Territory.” Shannon said
“Territory?” Rachel asked confused.
“Yeah Haldir said something about you already belonging to Carter, and then Legolas accused Haldir being a hypocrite. Apparently Legolas is jealous of Carter. If I had to choose I’d pair you with the elf. I just couldn’t bare to see you with that asshole Carter. Man Rach- you’ve stolen the hearts of two males, well one at least I‘m not sure if Carter has a heart.” Shannon said causing Rachel to blush.
“Oh shut up. Wait Legolas is jealous of Carter? How sweet.” Rachel said with a blissful expression.
“Oh please girl, its just a guy, who happens to have perfect skin great hair, don’t tell him I’m telling you this.” Shannon said taking on a serious tone. “Look Rachel I think you need to get your priorities straight. You’re an adult now and Legolas is great but you’re with Carter and he doesn’t seem like the kind that likes to share. I’m not saying you need to choose now but you‘re not the only who can get hurt in this love triangle.”
“Yeah I know. It’s just, well I like Legolas more than I should actually but I also like Carter. I don’t know Shannon, I’ve never had two guys want me before.” Rachel said, with uncertainty in her voice.
“Rachel I’m your friend so I’m going to tell you the truth. I personally can’t understand why you like Carter. I mean he is a controlling egotistical uptight Asshole who thinks he is above everyone. He comes over, loud and rude and talks to me as if I were a child. Ok he has pretty eyes but that doesn’t make up for the snobby attitude. And his butt isn’t all that ok.” Shannon said bluntly.
“Shannon if you just gave him a chance you’d see how sweet he really is. I have never seen Carter be disrespectful to anyone. I know he is a little conceited, and a little bossy at times but he isn’t trying to harm anyone.” Rachel said attempting to let Shannon know the softer side of Carter.
“I’ve never seen Carter be anything but rude and disrespectful. And I’ve definitely never seen him be sweet. I don’t know Rach- maybe you just like assholes.” Shannon said not realizing she said the last part out loud.
“Thanks a lot Shannon, I feel bad enough about the situation I’m in but I don’t need you making things worse with your comments. Besides I’m attracted to legolas and he isn’t an asshole.” Rachel said defensively.
“I didn’t mean it like that, well about Carter I did but not about Legolas. I just don’t like Carter, I always get a bad vibe when I’m around him, just be careful.” Shannon said seriously.
“It’s alright, speaking of Legolas where is he and Haldir?” Rachel asked.
“Oh yeah I came down the stairs and asked if everything was alright and Haldir said it was. We started talking and then Legolas stormed out. I was going to say something but then Elf boy distracted me and I forgot.” Shannon said with a hint of shame in her voice at letting Haldir distract her from being concerned about her other guest.
A.N: Hmm how will shannon react to Haldirs muddy appearance, will Carter try something on their date. you gotta wait to find out. LOL please leave feedback.
