Summary: Erestor’s secret is out when Glorfindel walks in on him sunbathing.
A/N: This story has one beginning and three *very different* endings. Pick your poison. Each ending has its own warnings.

Glorfindel smirked as he heard the lock make a quiet ‘snick’ as he twisted the hair pin inside it. He removed the small piece of metal and tried the handle. It opened without a sound, and Glorfindel swung the door open stealthily and slipped inside.

‘Ah, Erestor, Erestor,’ he thought with a shake of his head. ‘Didn’t you know you could never lock out a determined Balrog Slayer?’

The two elves had been dancing around each other for weeks after one drunken night when they had both admitted having feelings for each other. Nothing had happened, they had both passed out very shortly after the admission, and Glorfindel was getting distinctly fed up with Erestor’s abrupt dismissal of the entire situation.

He knew Erestor was in his rooms at this moment. The Slayer had seen the shadow of Erestor’s body against the pale colored curtains that lined the councilor’s windows. It was the perfect time for him to corner the dark elf and really make him talk about what had happened so many nights before.

Glorfindel slowly stalked down the hallways of Erestor’s rooms, following the sounds of soft humming and shuffling. Like a thief, Glorfindel pressed his back against the wall and peered around the corner of the door to Erestor’s bedroom.

The advisor stood naked in the light of the sun, a batch of yellow flowers tucked carefully behind his ear. He had pulled back the curtains Glorfindel had glimpsed him through earlier, and his skin shone against the backdrop of Erestor’s tiny, private garden. The darkling turned casually, exposing his body to Glorfindel’s hungry gaze. The dark eyes looked up, startled as Glorfindel gasped.

Erestor, horrified, moved to cover his body with a thin, white robe that was draped over a small table. Glorfindel, no longer trying to hide himself, came inside the room and stared at Erestor, dumbfounded.

Erestor took in a shaky breath, and ran his hand over his face as he said, “Maybe I should explain…”

TBC in…Version A, Version B, or Version C. Pick your poison.
