Uuuuuuuh, there is only one line worthy to be used as a review now:

"The board is set, the pieces are moving..."

I will loose my sleep, hold my breath and bite my nails until you continue! ;)

Now it's beginning to make more sense...but that only means I'm going to die of anticipation! Dear Legolas, will you save the day and bring Valawen back from the dark so that she can someday go to Valinor, or will this have an ending more suitied to Hamlet? *sighs melodramatically* ;)

Faramir, you clever, evil little thing. :D And now that everybody's favourite elf boy has arrived... let the games begin! *veg* Personally I prefer nasty Legolas over comes-and-saves-the-day-again Legolas, but hey, that's just me, lol. If Elven asks for her blondling, how could you resist, Frosty. :P (*note to Elven*: You just keep giving me "story eyed" Boromir in YOUR stories and I'll be happy, lol!). At least it evens the survival chances for our poor OC now. I actually thought you might let her die in this one (not that you are not going to do it anyway!) and it would even have fitted the events of the story, but now at least there is hope. ;)

But it will be interesting to see how long it takes for our Mirkwood Elf aka "The Brain" to unmask the mysteries of Gondor. Speaking of which: I loved the line "Gondor is bloodstained. Tell me what greeting will fit." Very strong.

And what is it that Faramir wants our poor girl to put in Legolas' room I wonder? Certainly not the palantir? Mmmh... I hold my breath and wait for the next chapter! :)

OK, signing reviews is always a good thing... the review above is mine, of course! ;)

Poor Valawen! What has she gotten herself into? Whatever it is, she seems to get mired deeper at every turn. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so bad for a murderer before. *lol* So tell me, is there ANY hope for her? And speaking of hopeless, should I start grieving Legolas now to avoid the rush? One thing’s for sure, Aragorn doesn’t have Faramir as tightly reigned as he thinks. Something tells me it’s not a snake that Faramir wants Valawen to put in Legolas’ room. Will Eomer show up to enquire as to what happened to his little sister?

See? What’d I tell ya? DOOOOOM! *vbg* Poor Valawen, she had such high hopes, not only for herself, but for all of Arda. If Aragorn is using her, the one he loves “more than anything,” I wonder just what he has in store for the rest of Arda. (Of course, one could think of worse ways to spend one’s evening than a threesome with Aragorn and Faramir… )

*points at Freya's post and nods her head*

"What she said!" :)

Aaaah... DOOM and a threesome, what more could a girl wish for... *grins*

And poor Valawen indeed (NOT!). I had been wondering before I read the chapter who was going to help her now eventually? Eowyn turned into an empty shell (unless she fakes it or manages to step out of it), Faramir turned into deliciously nasty bad boy and Aragorn is as ruthless as you will ever see him. Uuuuuuhhhh... *rubs hands*

As for Bormir: Oh hon, I have to borrow Arwen's words for once:

"IF YOU WANT HIM... COME AND CLAIM HIM!!!" :P

Mmmmh.... just checked your story codes again and realized there might still be one character coming to the rescue after all... ;) Can't wait what happens next!

Creepy. Aragorn lied blatantly to her face--you would think she would be more upset once she recovers her senses. I suppose that's what you get when you dance with the devil, though. *cackles* I wonder if the palpable change in atmosphere reflects itself in the weather--if I were a citizen of Gondor, I'd be very concerned. Of course, people there might not notice, thet're so used to the gloomy clouds from Mordor...

My question is, what made Faramir feel differently about Valawen? He seemed indifferent to her the first time when she seduced him. There has to be a reason, but I missed it. XD

"She will not die. Can you say, though, that what Eowyn now faces is better than death?"

Funny, that was my exact thought, when the Palantir took the essence of Eowyn. That's when I thought: She would rather be dead than live a life like that. You die very well on that part and it is oh so sad!

I am repeating myself again, but I love the fact, that this plot is much more elaborate and the characters - all of them - are much more prominent than in some of your previous stories. One way for me to measure a good story is to see if it is unpredictable or not. With this story I am not sure where you will be going and where you will take things, so it must be good! ;) I think you are on a good way when it comes to your story writing and as Beth mentioned already, you have made so much progress throughout times. Your stories were good to begin with, but as we all know, even good things can be improved. :) And you certainly did improve a LOT throughout your stories.

Oh and about the "elves-human" thing: Please don't worry about that, it really was only just a teeny tiny thing I noticed. The thing is, I tend to read a story not only as a reader but also as a writer and sometimes I stumble across these little observations. I am also not one for beating about the bush. If I see something I say so. Simple as that. No, I will never join the diplomatic corps. :)

And don't worry, you will never find me trying to correct any potential grammar or spelling mistakes, lol! I would never even dare to give you advice on that since I am not a native speaker and will leave it to those who know the English language a little better than I do. :)

OK, drumsticks out and let's see if I can post this review the first time around for a change...
