*hands Frosty an extra large box of Belgian chocolate*
There you go, dear, have some! :) Nice reply, I was about to write one myself so you saved me all the trouble, lol! Don't let this get to you. You know better and besides, you and Elven started writing these stories a long time ago out of personal enjoyment. And nobody said you should strife for a Pulizer Prize with it, lol! It is fun, nothing more, nothing less. If anyone is having a problem with it, so be it. Look at your hits alone and you KNOW there are more than enough people who enjoy your work as well as Elven's. I can honestly say that I actually am a Tolkien lover to the point of being a Tolkien expert. My review of the ROTK EE even made the front page of one of the biggest sites worldwide just before Christmas. But when I come here I don't do so to read stories that are completely in tune with Tolkien's work. If I want to read that I read... well... TOLKIEN, actually. ;)

You have really decided to go all the way with evil Faramir..nice touch with the vengeance because of Valawen being responsible.
And I like the story, but yeah, I am kinda hating her too.
That scene w/ Legolas, grrrr.

I’m trying, Frosty, I am. I’m really trying to give Val the benefit of the doubt, but she’s making it so hard for me to like her these days. *shakes head* So she killed off Elrond, that’s okay, I never really liked him anyways, then she helps to frame Legolas, again, doesn’t really faze me, he is after all just another elf. *ducks out of range of rotten tomatoes thrown by all the Lego-fans* But to just let herself be abused, and not try to find a way out is just … wimpy (to say the least).
I really do like your characterization of her as an addict; she knows what’s going on is wrong, but is “helpless” to do anything about it. Very well done. And can Faramir get any more evil? I’m almost afraid to ask. It’s really such a shame his gorgeous hunk of an older brother isn’t here to open a can of whup-a$$ on him. *grins – sorry, can’t go more than a few chappies without dropping a “subtle” hint*

Val was more resilient in this chapter, but she still needs a backbone. Me, I would do some physical damge. Come on, V, go kicking and screaming with your nails ripping out as they drag through the wooden doorways. Get it together! :D
Legolas: ...Are you well enough to rescue me yet? Because this prison is quite cold and slimy, actually.
Valawen: I'm waiting for a sign--
Legolas: "--that might come in the form of a mushroom cloud?" *V looks at him blankly* Sorry, inside joke.
Valawen: An omen, a dream, anything.
Legolas: Forgive me if I'm wrong, but the Palantir stopped talking to you. You're confused, frightened, abused and both of your lovers are now dead. If there isn't a sign in there somewhere, you're going to be waiting a very long time.
Valawen: ...Oh.
Well, the Faramir scene confirmed my suspicions. XD My concern is how Valawen is ever going to save Legolas in time when she can't even save herself. It would be nice to see Faramir and Eowyn restored, but I'm certainly not holding my breath. My care is for the elves to live. Rah!

Am I the only one who feels that by now Valawen needs to be thrown into a bucket of ice water? Honestly, I want to grab her by the shoulders and shake some sense into her... Get back at those that have mistreated you, you silly girl! *shakes her head* And find a way to release elf dude now, will you? And while you are at it, look for that damn frying pan! *g*
Sorry for the fly by post, I am nearly out of the door at the moment, but, of course, I won't go without a review! :)

I hope I didn't sound harsh or anything! I just felt...well, stupid for never giving any constructive criticism. Because "Yeay! It rocks!" may boost confidence for about three seconds, but I owe you better than that. After all, I read these stories (more than once...did I just say that? I meant to say, 'contemplate and enjoy them profoundly.' Yes, that's it...) and am curious how Frosty's fiendish little mind works! XD
Believe me, my motivations for blathering on aren't entirely unselfish. There *has* to be a good reason I got a bloody ivy league education, and if there isn't, then hell, I'll make damn sure my sentences are polysyllabic once it a while, at least. Makes me feel like the money and effort wasn't ENTIRELY a waste of my time...Yeah!!!
>.<
...Carry on.

Not Legolas! I can take evil twisted Faramir, but please don't kill my favorite blonde elf..
I like that Valawen is conflicted, but can't seem to stop. Looking forward to the next chapter.

I replied to your email. ^.^
It's always fascinating to see the different Legolas-es in both of your stories, Frosty, simply because I know you and Elven have both written him as good and dark before. Unquestionably, Tolkien's Legolas would have said what yours did if he ws in the same position he is now in Possession. Now Valawen puzzles me. Fight, Val, fight the force! Don't let the darkness win!
Me: And if you leave the yummy elf to his fate, I may have to kill you myself.
Val: *clenches head* Can't think--leave me alone! (breaks character) ...This is stressful. What's my motivation again?
Me: *pretending to think hard* Assuming the Sub position?
Val: Oh! Right. If you'll excuse me...
Me: *smacks forehead*
ANYWAY, Valawen needs to grow an elf backbone and start using some of those mystical powers of emotional manipulation they teach all proper young elf maidens. ;) Save the elf...other elf!
