Sorry I've been gone for a while...

OK, so maybe Glorfindel really ISN'T a rat b*st*rd, he's just a VERY good top who has come to realize a number of things about his adorable little sub.... ;-)

1) Legolas was born royal and no situation ever stays the same... eventually father-feeling almost HAS to win out and Thranduil will lift the banishment... hard-ass fathers are norotious suckers for grandchildren, after all... besides, having a prince for your pet is a good thing. ;-)

2) Legolas is young, therefore malleable... trainable---and Glorfindel has already noticed the kid has guts, courage, and steel in surprising moments. The perfect protege: utterly loyal and bound to Glorfindel, but gutsy and later wiroverove a very fine warrior indeed.

3) Legolas has fallen hard for Glorfindel, despite all his misgivings. He murmurs Glor's name in his sleep, and comes if the Elf even looks hard at him. :-) After thousands of years of people sucking up to him because he's the Balrog Slayer, that has got to count for something. Plus, Legolas is fertile in that mysterious Sindarin manner, and Glor prefers lads rather than lasses. Therefore the kid is worth a hundred times his weight in gold.

I predict good things in the future for both of them when they work out their current stuff--Glor already seems more and more at ease expression his affection as well as his dominance--and I can't wait for the day, doubtless still years down the line, when Legolas is older, stronger, more confident--and just decides he wants a little of his own back, flips Glor over, and does him within an inch of his pain/pleasure threshold. Panting Glor stares at him in amazement, says: "Don't do that too often, boy--but WOW!!" and Legolas just smirks.... :-)

Ah well, still enjoying the story, but do want to see some more back story!

Hmmm.... stupid of me.... the *spies*, of course!!! Just have one of *them* leave the letter in Celeirdur's rooms.... if Glorel wel were willing to endanger one of these assets for the sake of a letter.... *busily churning plot twists*

Hhmm, well at least Glorfindel seems to relent a little bit.Although I still think that Glorfindel is an ...,he really does want to protect and to take care of Legolas(even for selfish reasons).

ooh this was a cute chapter!! Glorfindel is being kind of too kind and nice but still i just don't want Legolas to end up with him :/

Ah-ha! *smugly pleased with self* I *thought* so!!! (At least, about the part about Legolas writing his brother....)

This was really a sweet chapter (in the sense of showing some small amount of affection between the pair -- gack! -- am I actually saying that??!!), *and* it is starting to tie up plot ends. (I hate to say it, but I have to agree with some other posters that there has been a bit too much sex and too little plot lately.... especially in the sense of involving the greater community. The story emphasis may be on the Glorfindel and Legolas relationship, but that relationship does not occur in a vacuum. Again, this is why we keep nagging you about things like the treaty and the Imladris Elves and such.)

Legolas' confession/explanation was nicely done. I really felt for him.

I dislike that Glorfindel wants to be so controlling over Legolas that he expects permission asked to write a letter.... but on the other hand, at least he is understanding of the natural affection, and Legolas' homesickness and isolation and grief, and he is willing to allow a letter to be sent. That was nice. Now, just how is that new letter going to get conveyed? (Hmmm.... hide it inside a letter to Elrohir?? Maybe we see this letter in the Mirkwood story??)

Er, Esteliel... in Chapter 29, you fixed the part about the robe (vs tunic), but you forgot to fix the part about the leggings -- which Legolas should *not* have been wearing! (I can imagine the comments those two would have made...)

@Elflover Well, I do not think that Glorfindel can simply punish an Imladris elf as he sees fit -- surely in such a community there must be rules, and I think that if Glorfl wal wanted those two punished, it would have to be through harder work or something along those lines, not by corporeal punishment.
And ultimately, Glorfindel has some plans for Legolas (which I won't yet tell ;)), so yeah, he wants people to be aware that Legolas is a prince, although he belongs to him.

Also, Glorel wel would never use the word 'slave' as an official term, he would probably call him a prisoner of war... Nevertheless, Legolas is treated like a slave, so it is no wonder that other elves wuold use it as an insult. Nobody would officially call it that way since there is no slavery among elves, of course, but with the hate and conflicts between the elven realms, none of the Noldor would try to make Glorfindel stop. ;)

As to Ophirianne's story: Yes, I liked it very, very much. *g* Although in my story, no, Haldir and Elladan had not succeeded in breaking him and he would have fought against Glndelndel (mainly because I need him unbroken for a later story *g*).
Still, I think that Haldir and Elladan would have been able to break him, so under that premise, her story makes perfect sense. :)

(Oh yeah... and the robe problem is now corrected *laughs* ks fks for pointing it out, and thank you even more for your continuous feedback!! :))
