Oh Celeirdúr...poor poor elf..

Poor Legolas too, and I am about ready to kill your Glorfindel if he doesn't protect Legolas from that evil duo.

Hmm..must commend you on the use of "lass", it's almost like a double entendre.

Another fantastic chapter. There's a heartwrenching "reality" of situation that is very disturbing..very addictive to read.

Omg! Poor Legolas poor poor prince :( His family doesn't want him and he has horrible life with Glorfindel.. This really don't look like happy ending story :(

Is Legolas ever gonna stop being Glorfindel's sex slave and ..may be after the child is born..escape or something.. We know Legolas as a strong person from the books he can't go on like that forever right???

Pleeease update soon lol i know you do but still, the time goes soo slow ;)

It seems that my review from yesterday didn't go through.Okay,Legolas' disowned him and Glorfindel is still an arrogant bastard. It will be really sad if Legolas' child will be born not out of love.I want to know what will happen to Legolas' brother or to Thranduil for that matter now both his sons are in Rivendell. Will he relent or risks the lives of his sons?

*sigh*

No happy ending, fer sure.... Poor Legolas, *nothing* left for him, except his child... and a life of degradation and slavery and more child-bearing under Glorfindel. If ever there were a cause for suicidal angst....

Stupid of Thranduil, though, to send the crown prince into enemy territory. And, I have to say, for a male, he sure sounds like a girl, with all that hissing....

Oh wow, TWO chapters to read on the same day!!! Woo-hooo!! :-)

OK, so things are now getting a great deal more complicated for poor Legolas. Now his mean old brother, who does not even WANT to consider that Legolas might be a victim here, is a prisoner in Imladris--and being mean as a snake to boot. Oh dear, and what's this?? Glorfindel is giving the elder brother to Elladan and Haldir?? Oh that's NOT going to be a good thing....

You have a grand way with starting a chapter like this off in such a nice way... a little snuggle, some niceness, then WHAM!!

I love it....

I think part of the confusion over Legolas's nature stems from the fact that there is not a lot of rational logic to a d/s relationship. Real nurture is going on here, but there is real control as well. Legolas seems to have always been somewhat de-valued by his family, hence their immediate insistence that the child gave himself meekly to the enemy... they won't stop to hear his explanation that he was raped the first time, then forced to experience pleasure at the hands of his rapist. Where were they to protect the child then?? Why was he sent alone to guard ho at at a time when there are enemy spies all over the place? Then they have the nerve to berate, beat up, then banish the child--is it really any wonder that he went to Imladris, alone and terrified and pregnant, to find the one who caused the problem in the first place? Legolas is young, both physically and emotionally, and is pregnant. Pregnancy makes you a little nuts, and overly emotional. I think we need to cut him a break and just wait to see what happens over the course of the tale.

Whether we like it or not, understand it or not, Glorfindel took immediate responsibility for his actions and their result. Yes, he is using his much older experience and awareness to take full advantage of a youth barely out of childhood, and not quite yet of age; Glorfindel is way past adult, and knows many ways to give and receive pleasure. He also knows Legolas is young and inexperienced, lonely and neglected, and in that full hormonal flush that youngsters undergo when they are first sexually awakened--and yes, he IS taking full advantage of that. And he derives pleasure from causing pain and humiliation. But he also always makes up for it with caresses and loving regard. Is it sick and twisted of him to do this, and of Legolas to accept it? Maybe. But who is the bigger monster? Glorfindel for what he does--or Legolas's family for what they do (and fail to do)?

In the best of all possible worlds, Glorfindel will continue what it looks as if he has begun to do: truly love Legolas, grateful for an heir and actually coming to know his little Sindar better and better, until a more age-appropriate relationship blossoms overe. e. Certainly Legolas is being treated better inadriadris than he was in Mirkwood. And maybe Thranduil will realize that war is stupid, that his youngest son was abused at home LONG before he was abused by Glorfindel, that any grandchild is better than none, and there will be peace and much good sex in the world. :-)

But also, I hope Legolas will continue to maturefelyfely somehow have his child, and slowly evolve into the stronger, secure, intelligent and fiercely loyal young Elf he is by the time of the Fellowship Quest. But for the moment, I'm just enjoying this dark and difficult ride. :-)
