Yippeee!! another chapter! And the baby has finally been born! Wise of Elrond, to realize that Glorfindel's stress was affecting Legolas....

So! Glorfindel claims he doesn't care that much, that it is merely possession... I think he's fooling himself. :-) I think he *does* love Legolas in some manner, and does not want to call it that....

I wonder what they'll name the baby. I'm betting it's SO not going to be Thranduil.... ;-)

And will Glorfindel be kind and doting during Legolas's recovery? And will he keep his word to cherish and protect? And will some people stop being mean to Legolas now?

Will Jasta ever stop asking questions?? (grin)

Good to have you back. And of course as always, I hope there will be more soon!

Hmmm, lots to comment on here!

First of all, I'm glad that you're well enough to be back writing, and thanks for the update!

I confess that I'm kind of disappointed in the quick treaty-making between the kingdoms.... especially as we weren't privy to all the details. That seemed rather glossed-over. Did Legolas ever come up in the negotations at all, or did Thranduil take the hard line that Legolas is dead to him? (I really wish that somewhere, Glorfindel or someone else had driven it into Celeduir's head that Legolas was, at least at first, unwilling. I really wish that Thranduil's nose would be shoved into it that Legolas' situation is really all his fault... first for putting Legolas intoangeangerous position where he could get raped, and then for exiling him for something that was not his fault! Grrr... Thranduil... grrr... And almost as bad a grrr... Celeduir... grrr...)

I guess that Celeduir escaped further abuse during the long negotiation process.... but I wonder how things ever turned out with Elladan and Haldir. (We never did find out what Haldir's personal grudge was...)

What's up with Elrohir seeming t *gl *glad* to go as permanent hostage to Mirkwood??!! Or did I get that wrong?? Doesn't he have a romantic inte bac back in Imladris? Treaty or no treaty, hostages or no hostages, I sure wouldn't want to be Thranduil's "guest" -- not given the past dismal history of Noldor treatment. (Also, although he was no part of it, Elrohir would/should have some reason to fear mistreatment upon arrival in Mirkwood, solely for the sake of how Celeduir was treated.)

On to the labor.... now this was well done. Admiration and sympathy for Legolas (labor pains *are* excrutiating.... firstors ors *can* go on for a nightmarish long time).... and seeing yet again the possibility of love from Glorfindel's side. I confess that I fear for Legolas' life. I will be deeply distraught if the fear is founded, as there were no explicit author warnings.

Finally, grrrr, wicked cruel author, ANOTHER cliff-hanger??!!! Grrr..... I begin to think that you and Glorfindel have some traits in common.....

I love this story, I love the angst in it and very well written. I hope you will have the next chapter up soon.
