Kahlin Caladwen
I was born of the elves and men of Middle Earth but no amount of my lineage would save me from my fate. Four arrows pierced my chest alone, one of which had punctured my lung and the other I could feel push against my heart. I would die this night but the package I held would not fall into enemy hands. I had to make it to Caras Galadhon, there I could die knowing that the item I held would be safe. I reached the edge of the Nimrodel and I could see the white trees of Lorien just up ahead. I heard the roar of the Uruk and turned enough to see the blade that would end my life. A tear fell for the hope of middle earth as my package would never make it to Caras Galadhon. I had failed. But before the killing blow a broad sword came into view and stopped it. A man appeared, he was not elven but the soldiers at his side were and they brought down the enemy with ease. Meanwhile the man had run the Uruk through and came to me. He took me up in his arms and ran toward the trees. Behind him the elves of Lothlorien followed. “You will live this night.” Were the last words I heard…
