The Simplest Answer
Elrond looked up as the face he had been waiting for came into the
bedroom. He smiled as his wife entered and closed the door behind
her, then turned to a questioning glance as she stayed just
inside. "You can come closer, Celebrian, I will not bite."
Celebrian looked at her husband and managed a smile in return. "I
know, love, I just am afraid I might." She walked over to where he
sat on the bed. "Neither of us really have the time for this you
know. In a few hours--"
Elrond caught his wife's hand and pulled her onto his lap. "Yes, in
a few short hours a brigade of elves will be here for the
celebration, but I have not had anytime with my wife for days and as
Lord of this realm," He smiled and took Celebrian's chin in his hand
and kissed her softly, when he leaned back he looked into her
eyes, "I demand that time." He was rewarded by a small almost
genuine smile. "You are too tense, melleth-nin"
"I know, but..."
"Ah, ah, no buts." He studied his loves face and his expression grew
serious. "I received word of an interesting tale from our seneschel
today." Elrond quirked an eyebrow. "Did you really yell at him?"
Celebrian let out a sigh. She should have known. "I don't
know that I would call it -- I did apologize."
"You yelled at Glorfindel?"
Celebrian looked down now, shamed by her previous action. "I did."
Elrond lifted her chin. "That is not like you."
"I know."
"Honey," Elrond ran a soft hand through his wife's silvery
hair. "Everything will be fine, but you have to calm down."
Celebrian's voice was soft when she finally spoke. "I know that in
my mind. But I seem to have gotten myself into a mood, that I
cannot seem to get out of."
Elrond lifted her chin again. "I know. I am worried about you
melleth-nin. What can I do to help?"
Celebrian sighed. "I know not. Everything seems so complicated.
Sometimes I just wish --" Her voice trailed off.
Elrond quirked an eyebrow as nothing further came forward. "You
wish what, Celebrian?"
Celebrian took her husband's hand her eyes a bit distant. "I wish
things were simpler. Like when I was a child."
"What do you mean?"
"When I was a young girl I would get into moods sometimes and no one
could talk me out of it. Nana would try and Ada. They were so
patient. Usually it worked." Celebrian gave a reminiscent
smile. "I would do almost anything to please my ada."
Elrond thought he could see where his wife might be going and it was
not a thought completely foreign to him, but he would wait for her
to get there. "And what if it did not work melleth-nin?"
"Well," Celebrian almost unconciously moved closer to Elrond. "If
it did not work, then nana would put an arm around my shoulder and
she would take me to her bedroom." Now Celebrian's hands moved
along the tips of her hair, an old habit when the Lady of Imladris
was a bit nervous. "She would tell me that my conduct was not
becoming of my station, and it was going to end."
Elrond waited but nothing more came. He took Celebrian's hands in
his and away from their persistant movement forcing his wife to
focus on him. "And then?"
Celebrian tried to feign a look of nonchalance, even as she knew it
was impossible to ignore the feelings passing between her and her
bonded. "Then she would spank me." She gave a smile. "And my
conduct ended." She kissed the top of Elrond's head and rose from
his lap surprised and yet not as his hand caught hers and turned her
to face him. He just looked at her and waited until she had to look
away from his gaze.
"You are no longer a child melleth nin. But your conduct is not
becoming your station. And I would like to help you end it."
Celebrian looked up and the silence between them was palpable until
she finally gave a small almost imperceptable nod.
"Bring me your hairbrush, Celebrian."
Very slowly Celebrian stepped over to the table where her brush lay
and picked it up. She was resigned to her fate but that did
not change her apprehension of it.
"Bring it to me." Elrond's voice was not harsh, but it was firm.
He planned to see this through, and his wife had no doubt, as with
all things, it would be done thoroughly. She finally journeyed the
long length of the floor between them and handed over the large
wooden brush.
Then she found a strong arm guiding her across legs she well knew.
The position was not wholly unfamiliar, but she was much taller than
she had been the last time she had found herself here and the lap
she now rested on was distinctly different as well. Her skirt,
however, was raised just the same.
Elrond put a strong arm around his wife's waist holding both her and
her skirt in place. "Tell me, Celebrian." He felt a small cringe run
through her and knew that she knew what was about to come. "Why
are you being punished?"
Celebrian closed her eyes as a full blush hit her body. "I have
been moody and tempermental and I -- " Oh had she really? "-- I yelled
at Lord Glorfindel."
Elrond nodded and his jaw became set. He lifted the hairbrush and
began paddling his wife's bottom hard and fast. The brush lent hard
strokes to her sit spot and the fullest part of her bottom turning
them quickly red, before it moved to her crease and the tops of her
thighs and there it stayed.
Celebrian fought against the waves of emotion that overwhelmed her,
but the spanking seemed relentless. She grabbed onto the legs that
held her up and then could no longer contain herself. Celebrian
began to cry. And yet still it continued unyielding. She was sure
that she could not endure any more, and then something inside of her
released. And the lady sobbed.
Elrond put the brush aside resisting the urge to soothe his wife's
red and aching bottom. After a moment he lifted her carefully back
onto his lap and he held her close, knowing, as she clung to him
that they had both made the right decision.
