Forever in Your Arms
Chapter One: Payback
Legolas awakened as the sunlight crept into the once darkened room. He sat up and stretched his arms while slowly getting out of bed; he was trying to enjoy the remains of the dream he’d just had. With a sigh he put on a simple pair of leggings and a pale green undertunic. He looked into the mirror located next to his bed and smiled. ‘Today will be a good day.’ He braided his golden hair into a single plait meeting in the back and secured it with a traditional Mirkwood string. Taking one final look at himself, he quickly left his room.
“Ada, Ada, have they arrived yet?” Legolas shouted, as he entered the great hall where his father stood.
“No, ion-nin, not yet. Be patient, little one, it is a long travel from Rivendell.” Thranduil placed a comforting hand on his son’s shoulder.
Legolas looked at his father with a forced smile. “You are right, Ada, it is just that I am so anxious to see my friends that I have hardly been able to sleep.” Legolas quickly dropped his gaze onto the floor, realizing how childish he sounded.
Thranduil lifted his son’s face up and looking into his eyes, said, “As are the twins, I’m sure. Why don’t you go out and wait at the entrance, I think they are approaching.” Legolas had been so caught up in thought that he had not heard the sound of hooves approaching the gates. As he looked out the window he saw three riders clad in blue, and ran out the door quicker than the blink of an eye.
Thranduil watched his son run down the steps to greet his guests. ‘I remember when I was that age, the energy, the careless ways,’ he thought to himself as he walked outside towards the gates.
*I’m sure you’ll have plenty tonight, meleth-nin. *
Thranduil looked around for the voice he heard, but he was alone; it could not be. And then his heart leapt with joy to see the elf sitting regally on his horse by the gates. *Elrond? *
*Who else would it be, my love, why so surprised? Do you have something you wish to tell me? *
*No, I am just surprised that you did not tell me you were coming with the twins*
*It was a surprise. Now come down here, we have much to talk about and I want to see you.*
*Yes, as you wish.* Thranduil walked down the steps towards his dark-haired lover.
“Elrond, my lord, are you alright?” Legolas said after repeatedly trying to get the elf’s attention. Legolas looked over at the twins for help but they were snickering, for they knew what their father was doing. Elrond heard his name and quickly snapped out of his conversation with the Mirkwood King.
“Yes, Prince Legolas, I was just in thought, that’s all.” This comment sent the twins into hysterical laughter, but they quickly stopped when they got a glare from their father.
“Mae Govannen, Elrond, and welcome to the Woodland Realm,” Thranduil greeted, as he helped Elrond off his horse before giving the reins to a stable boy. Legolas also helped the twins off their horses before embracing them with a friendly hug.
“Elladan, Elrohir, it’s such a pleasure to have you here. Too long has it been since our last meeting, we have much to catch up on.”
“Yes, mellon-nin, we have much to discuss this day,” Elladan said as he winked at Elrohir. Then he laughed as he went to stand beside Legolas while Elrohir stood on the other side.
“Ada, I am going to show the twins around before dinner. It was a pleasure to see you again, Lord Elrond.” Legolas bowed before wrapping an arm around each twin.
“I expect all three of you to be on time for dinner,” Thranduil said, sudden warmth filling his body as Elrond’s fingers interlaced with his own. Hoping his son would not notice, he quickly looked up at the sky. “‘Tis almost evening, I suppose I should show you around, Elrond.”
“That would be nice.” Elrond nodded his head in farewell to the elfings, before giving his attention back to the Mirkwood King. Legolas whispered something into the twins’ ears causing them to giggle. Thranduil was sure it was about him. The King and his lover watched their sons enter the Great hall before turning to each other; green eyes meeting gray.
Elrond looked flawless; he wore black leggings that hugged him in all the right places and a light purple tunic under a dark blue robe. His dark waist-length hair was held back with a string, and topped by a silver circlet, common of Rivendell royalty. All Thranduil could do was stare, and finally, after looking Elrond up and down once more, he spoke. “You are beautiful. I have missed looking upon you, my love.” Thranduil brushed his fingers against Elrond’s cheek.
“I am nothing compared to your beauty, meleth-nin.” Elrond noted that Thranduil looked more amazing than he remembered. The Mirkwood king was dressed in traditional Mirkwood style: a simple green tunic embroidered with silver, a pair of brown leggings, and, like most of the elves of Mirkwood, he was barefoot. His golden hair was flowing freely in the wind. Oh, how Elrond wanted to feel the king’s silky hair.
Thranduil watched as Elrond admired him, Elrond’s admiration making Thranduil move closer. “Do you like what you see?” he asked, his voice sensual as he continued to advance towards the Lord, running his fingers through his hair.
Elrond could not take his eyes off the teasing king. “Oh, Valar, yes…” Elrond could feel the effect that the King was having on him; he blushed as he saw Thranduil notice the sudden bulge in his leggings.
“Thranduil, I cannot wait any longer.” Before Thranduil could say anything he was brought into a passionate kiss. Thranduil was shocked at his lover’s aggressiveness, usually he made the first moves, but he soon returned the kiss with an equal passion. The kiss deepened when Elrond brought their bodies closer. The slight change in position brought their hardening arousals together. Elrond let out a soft moan, breaking the kiss.
Reluctantly Thranduil pulled away. “What is it? Did I do something unpleasurable?” Elrond’s voice was husky; as he placed his palm against Thranduil’s groin. “By the feel of things I would say not.” Thranduil sighed as Elrond teased him.
“No, you have not done anything wrong, it’s just that I have remembered I was supposed to help with the dinner tonight.”
Elrond stopped caressing his lover and stared at the ground, trying to hide his hurt as he nodded. “Aye, I understand. It’s just I have longed for you for so long.”
The king placed a hand under Elrond’s chin bringing their darkening eyes together. “And I you. I promise you, though, after dinner I will make it up to you. In any way you wish, would that please you?”
Elrond smiled with growing lust in his eyes, and answered softly, “Yes, that would please me very much.”
Thranduil placed a soft kiss upon the other lips. “Would you like to join me, would you like to help me with dinner?”
“That would be nice.” The lovers left Mirkwood’s gates as Arnor rose to its highest point in the sky. Hand in hand they made their way toward the kitchen.
The three princes started their way to the bedchambers. The twins followed Legolas up a wooden stairway and down a corridor before stopping before a wooden door. Legolas opened the door and extended his hand, bidding the twins to enter.
“Here is where you will sleep. I’m sorry we could not find a room with two beds. This bed is big enough, I assure you, three elves could fit comfortably on it.” Legolas knew he was rambling but he couldn’t help himself, the twins usually had that effect on him.
*Three elves, we’ll have to see about that, huh ‘Roh?*
*Yes, we most certainly will.*
Elladan smiled, placing a hand on his friend’s shoulder. “’Tis fine, I am sure we will find some way to manage.” Elladan winked at his brother, a gesture he often made when planning something, and faced Legolas again.
Legolas nodded and returned the smile. “My bedchamber is right there,” he said as he pointed at the room right across from where they were standing. “If you ever need anything you now know where to find me. I shall now leave you two to get ready for dinner.”
“Hannon le, mellon-nin,” Elrohir said as he embraced Legolas.
“Think nothing of it. It is a pleasure to have you staying here.”
Elladan took his turn in embracing the blond elf, and smiled. “No, mellon-nin, ‘tis our pleasure.”
With that Legolas walked to his bedchamber and shut the door, replaying his own words in his head - ‘The bed is big enough for three.’
* * * * * * * * *
“Elladan, I’m not sure if I can do this. How do we know that he will even accept this? ” Elrohir said, while braiding his brother’s hair, finishing each braid with a single white bead.
Elladan turned to face his mirror image resting his palm on his brother’s cheek. “That’s the thing, we don’t know what he will say. If we do not ask we will never know and will regret it for years to come. Who knows what he will make of this but I will not go against my heart and I know you feel the same.” Elladan took a step closer brushing their lips together in a gentle kiss.
As they parted Elladan saw the question in Elrohir’s eyes. “I know, my love, I know. Let us go, we do not want to be late.” The twins dressed and left the room. Elladan shut the door and whispered to himself, ‘I hope I won’t regret this.’
* * * * * * * *
As the twins headed down the hall they were greeted by a young, blonde elfling. He had to be no older than one millennium.
*Remember when we were that young. We were always so adorable. *
*Yes, but never that innocent. *
Elrohir nudged his brother in the arm in protest. The young elf smiled at the twin’s antics and bowed his head. “Welcome, Elladan and Elrohir, to Mirkwood. My name is Rimedhil and I was sent by King Thranduil to be your host.” Rimedhil raised his head and turned towards the wooden staircase. “Follow me.”
The twins didn’t know what to say; why had Legolas not waited for them? They would ask him this later but for now they followed their young host down the stairs towards the dining hall.
They walked in silence until they reached the bottom step of the staircase. Rimedhil bowed again. “This is where I leave you. I shall inform the prince of your arrival.”
Elrohir bowed as Elladan spoke. “Hannon le Rimedhil, King Thranduil is lucky to have a wonderful host such as yourself.” The young elf blushed at the compliment Elladan gave him and nodded his head in thanks. Then he walked through the door leaving the twins to wait.
They didn’t have to wait long before the door swung open again, only this time it wasn’t Rimedhil. Elladan kicked his brother’s foot to get his attention. Elrohir was about to retaliate when he saw what his brother was trying to show him. This elf was in no way an elfling. He wore brown leggings that stopped at the ankle. He wore a light green tunic under a dark green robe, which was embroidered with gold leaves and vines, traditional of Mirkwood. His golden hair was freely flowing, topped off with a silver circlet. His face was bright and soft, which created a certain radiance about him that the twins were drawn to.
“Legolas, you look absolutely gorgeous tonight.” Quickly covering his mouth with a hand Elrohir blushed; he hadn’t meant to sound so straightforward. In a way he felt relieved now that he had shown his true feelings.
Legolas blushed and shook his head. “No mellon-nin, you two are the stunning ones.” He smiled and laughed as he noticed Elladan was still admiring him. Legolas hated himself for thinking about the twins this way but it was the truth. They were truly stunning tonight, each wore matching black leggings and deep purple tunics; slightly open at the neck. Their hair was braided so that a single braid lay on each side of their face. The only difference between the twins this night was the mithril beads that Elladan wore in his braids while Elrohir wore none. Legolas wanted now more than ever to hold the twins and learn every difference between them, but he knew that was out of the question. These thoughts caused his leggings to tighten and his face to blush.
The Imladrian princes laughed as the blonde prince blushed. “Tis not nice to stare, mellon-nin,” Elrohir said as he and Elladan walked towards the door, looking back to see Legolas was still in thought. Finally coming back from reverie, Legolas turned an even deeper red - he had just been made fun of. He was about to tell the twins off when he noticed he was standing in the hall by himself. Laughing to himself he walked towards the door to the dining hall and whispered, “My friends, paybacks are hell.”
********
Legolas walked into the dining room where he took his seat next to his father. Turning towards the twins, he gave them the evil stare. The twins sat on either side of their father; both had the same expression: amused.
*’Dan look at him, giving us his infamous stare.*
*He is always so adorable when he is pretending to be angry with us. Maybe if he had the effect of Thranduil it might be different.* The twins laughed and received another angered stare from Legolas. He knew they were mind speaking about him. Legolas tried to keep a straight face but their laughter was so contagious, he was soon laughing with them. Just as he was about to speak, Thranduil stood up raising his glass in the air.
Standing proud, the Mirkwood king looked around the room before beginning his speech.
“A toast to the guests of Imladris. May your stay be comforting and may your stomachs be filled.” Finishing his surprising speech he extended his glass in cheers. He sat down, noting that Elrond had a look of disappointment on his face.
“Elrond, why such a long face?” Thranduil’s own face looking very concerned.
“You are well known for your speeches, my lord.” Elrond spoke, his voice hesitant. Seeing amusement playing on the king’s face he raised a brow.
“Aye, that is true. I just thought that a shorter speech would lead to a quicker end to dinner. Which in turn would lead to my punishment quicker also. ” His voice had become very low. Elrond didn’t have to say anything; his eyes did all the talking for him.
*****
As the young princes discussed fighting techniques, Thranduil stood up and pushed his chair in. Making his way toward the door, he said his good-byes. “Good night, Elladan and Elrohir. It is a pleasure to have you as guests; I hope Legolas behaved well today.” Legolas blushed and the twins smiled.
Elladan looked to his brother and winked, as always. “I don’t know, what do you think, brother?”
Elrohir caught the gleam in his brother’s eye and nodded in understanding. “I don’t know either, he was very arrogant when we asked him where we would be sleeping.” The twins both looked at Legolas, who had his arms crossed and was pouting.
Thranduil shook his head in mock anger. “Ion-nin, we will talk about your behavior tomorrow. Right now I have more… urgent matters to attend to.” He shot a quick glance at Elrond before exiting the dining hall. Elrond waited several minutes before taking his leave. He opened his mouth to explain where he was going but the princes already knew. Elladan waved his hand for silence before speaking himself.
“Ada, we know. Just leave already, the King is waiting.” Elrond stood there mouth gaping, was he really that obvious? No, he didn’t want to know the answer to that question. He bid his sons and the Mirkwood prince farewell before leaving the room, heading towards Thranduil’s bedchamber.
******
The princes waited until Elrond was out the door before bursting into laughter, Legolas clenching his side as the effects of immense laughter took him.
Gaining some composure they finished off the little wine they had left. Legolas was the first to stand up. “Tis late, mellon-nins, the wine is taking over.” He gave the twins a mischievous grin before leaving the dining room. Of course the wine wasn’t affecting him, what kind of elf would he be if he couldn’t withstand a few drinks? He just needed time to think of the perfect payback.
Not wanting to leave just yet he placed an ear to the door; he could hear feet shuffling and soft whispers, but nothing worth listening to. Just as he was about to leave he heard Elladan’s voice.
“No it’s too risky, let us go to the gardens. He won’t find us there.” The footsteps grew closer and Legolas knew the twins were about to exit. As the knob turned, Legolas bolted up the stairs towards his bedchamber.
*****
Elrond practically ran down the halls, passing several curious elves on the way. Turning the last corner, Elrond came to abrupt stop; on the floor was a trail of red and white roses. He felt his heart jump at the sentimental gesture of his lover. As he walked to the door he could smell a sweet scent of candles and chocolates, and his grin became quite mischievous. He was not surprised to see that the door was slightly open; Thranduil was not as private as many thought. He did not care what anyone thought of him or his love life. This trait was one of the many traits that enthralled Elrond.
Taking a deep breath, the dark elf pushed the door all the way open. It was a good thing that he had taken a breath before entering, because as soon as he stepped into the room it left him in a rush. Hundreds of red candles were lit and placed around the room, giving the normally dark room a warm ambiance. Several trays of fruits and desserts were placed on the desk near the bed. Rose petals were sprawled about the room, with a considerable amount placed on the bed. When Elrond’s glance moved to the bed, his eyes shot open even more at the erotic scene before him. Thranduil laid on his stomach facing Elrond, his head propped on one hand while the other hand held a small cherry. He wore only brown leggings this night, but Elrond was too focused on the luscious lips wrapped sensuously around the cherry.
The two elves stared at each other in silence until the Mirkwood King motioned for Elrond to join him on the bed. “It is a pleasure that you cared to join me this evening,” he teased before placing another cherry into his mouth.
Elrond gained his composure with difficulty and sat down on the edge of the bed looking intently at his lover. “I…I thought I was to pleasure you this night.” Elrond stated hesitantly. Thranduil moved to a sitting position before caressing Elrond’s warm cheeks.
“My love, I just set the mood, the rest is up to you.” Elrond had never had this power before; his face lit up and a hungry grin took over it. Normally he was always the one submitting, but not tonight. Tonight was his night and he was going to make it last.
*****
Legolas entered his bedchamber, slamming the door shut, not caring how many elves would awaken at the harsh sound. All he cared about at the moment was payback, and the look on the twin’s faces. He knew that he probably didn’t have much time; truly, how long would the Imladrian princes stay in the gardens? Pacing the room Legolas began thinking of a plan that would satisfy his need of revenge. After pacing his room several times he finally found some inspiration as he looked at an old scroll on his desk. He knew he wasn’t half as good at jests as Elladan and Elrohir were but this would have to do.
Quickly sitting down at his wooden desk, he pulled out a quill and some parchment, and dipping the quill in ink he got started on his letter. After several pauses and rewrites, Legolas was quite content with the final outcome. He read the paper once more before wrapping it up to be delivered.
“Elladan and Elrohir, it has come to my attention that the two of you have been causing trouble in my realm. Over the years I have learned to not only tolerate, but also to accept your jests, but in this instance you have gone too far. I have been informed that both of you have not only flaunted my authority, but you have also disrespected my Kingdom, and for this you shall be punished. I have spoken with your father and together we have created a suitable punishment for your acts. The two of you are to be stripped of your titles and will reside in the servant quarters for the rest of your stay. Hopefully then the two of you will learn some respect.
King Thranduil.”
Legolas tried to control his laughter - he was so excited to see the twin’s reaction
to the faux letter. Rolling the parchment and tying it with a green ribbon, he made his way towards the gardens.
*****
Legolas stepped out into the cold night, shivering slightly as the wind blew across his fair face. He could feel the beginning of winter approaching his homeland. He walked down the steps, stopping when he reached the bottom. Listening for any noise in the dark but hearing none; he started walking deeper into the forests, trying hard to pick up any sound.
As he made his way down another path he heard a faint whisper; he had found them. Grinning, he followed the soft whispers to the dark princes. Legolas had not noticed that the path he was now following was unmarked, but that was the last thing on his mind at the moment. Traveling for what seemed like an hour he knew he was finally getting close, the soft whispers becoming moans. The blond prince thought nothing of the slight change in noise; his mind was set on reaching the peredhils and giving them the letter that was still gripped tightly within his hand.
*****
Legolas had found the prince’s hideout; he knew they had been there for a while because the faint light of the campfire was almost gone. He couldn’t actually see the twins; trees surrounded the clearing, but he could hear their whispers and moans.
It was now or never: the blonde prince straightened his leggings and tunic to give the appearance of an important messenger. He made his way through the winding trees before he reached the open space.
“Ellad…” The blond prince could not finish his sentence for he was frozen in his tracks, the letter falling unknowingly out of his hands. Before him was the most erotic and arousing sight he had ever laid eyes on, he bit down on his bottom lip to stop the moans escaping his lips.
Elladan was sprawled on the forest floor, his legs spread. Legolas knew it was the older twin only by the sparkling mithril beads that were still twined in his hair. Elrohir sat atop the naked form below him, moving in a way that made it evident that his brother’s hard member was inside him. Both pairs of gray eyes were shut in utter bliss, heads tilted back as words of pleasure slipped pass their parted lips. The faint firelight danced on their glistening bodies, creating an even more sensual scene.
Legolas had completely forgotten about the task at hand, all his attention now directed towards the lovers on the forest floor and his own burning arousal. Keeping his eyes on the twins, Legolas walked toward a nearby tree; far enough away that the twins would not find him, but not so far that he could not see them. He sat down, resting his back against the trunk as he rubbed his concealed desire.
“’Dan, touch me…saes…” Elrohir pleaded between thrusts and moans, he could feel his brother writhe beneath him, and knowing his brother was close, Elrohir wanted to find release with him. Elladan did not need to be told twice, he grinned as he took the hardened length into his hands. Gently Elladan stroked his love’s desire, running a thumb over the tip that was already glistening with precum. Elrohir gasped, as his sex was handled gently, not normal of his older twin.
The blonde prince could only watch as the peredhils taunted and teased each other, each creating sounds that he never knew were possible. His own actions began to mirror those of the older twin. His hand gently made its way from his chest down to his leggings, where his hand found its way into his now too tight leggings. He wasn’t surprised to feel he had become incredibly hard. Stroking himself from the base to the head, his thumb occasionally slid over the wet tip. His head now rested on the tree as his breathing became raspy; he began to suck on his free hand, imagining what else he could do with his tongue. Thankfully his hand was in his mouth; if not, he wouldn’t know what type of sounds he would be making.
He opened his glazed eyes when he heard a loud grunt followed by a mellower moan. He watched as the twins each found their release, Elrohir spilling onto the body below him as Elladan filled the body above. The younger twin fell onto his brother with eyes glazed over with fulfillment. This scene was the end of Legolas; he came hard onto his stomach and hand. Controlling his scream, he bit down on his fingers drawing blood. His gaze never left the dark lovers.
The sedated princes laid on each other until their breathing returned to normal.
Elladan was the first to break the peaceful silence.
“’Ro…we must go back, who knows what will happen if all of Mirkwood were to see us here.” Elrohir laughed and placed a chaste kiss on his brother’s neck. He stood up offering a hand to Elladan who took it graciously as he stood. The brothers cleaned up the area before dressing. Legolas sat motionless, watching the lovers. When the twins started to leave the clearing, it was only then that Legolas decided now would be the best time to leave. Without another thought the blonde prince ran through the trees back to his bedchambers.
“’Dan, did you hear that?” Elrohir asked when the sound of leaves shuffling was heard. Elladan shook his head, but stopped when he stepped on something unusual. He bent down to pick up a piece of parchment wrapped in a green ribbon.
“No, but I have a good idea as to who it was.” Elladan grinned, holding the parchment in one hand and entwining his fingers with Elrohir’s with his other hand. Together they walked back to their own chamber.
Legolas awakened as the sunlight crept into the once darkened room. He sat up and stretched his arms while slowly getting out of bed; he was trying to enjoy the remains of the dream he’d just had. With a sigh he put on a simple pair of leggings and a pale green undertunic.
