Summary: Erestor and Glorfindel have been friends through the years, what happens when Glorfindel sees something he should not and wants to show his friend.
Glorfindel had been running around all week with a wooden sword yelling, “I am a mighty warrior.” Every since he had over hear some of the adults talking about how he was the reborn Balrog Slayer. Coming around the corner he spotted his best friend sitting on a stone bench in the garden. Slowly he made his way to his friend. Raising his sword he went to bring it down upon the dark haired elflings shoulders. Suddenly he found himself on the ground with his friend sitting on his chest. He would never understand how his friend always knew that he was sneaking up on him, but he always did.
Erestor smiled as he stood up and helped his friend to his feet. Taking his hand he went skipping through the gardens pulling his friend behind him. He smiled again at the thought that he would never revile the fact that he choose that bench because he could always see his friend coming from the reflection in the windows.
A few years later.
Erestor stood crying trying his best to get away from the mean male elflings that were tormenting him.
“Glorfindel and Erestor sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G first come love the-----.” Erestor turned in time to see Glorfindel standing over the elfling that had been singing. Looking down he noticed blood pouring from the elflings nose while he cried that his nose was broken.
“Good! That will teach you to leave him alone, and that goes for the rest of you. Anyone messing with him messes with me.” Glorfindel said as he stared each one down. Slowly the others reached down and helped the injured elfling up and started to back away. None wanting to mess with Glorfindel.
After the others left Glorfindel took Erestor over to a near by tree and pulled him down. “Did they hurt you this time,” he asked as he dried his tears.
“No,” was the only answer he got from his best friend. Pulling his friend to him he held him till the tears stopped. Secretly vowing to always be there for his friend. Soon the two fell asleep holding each other tight.
Many years later.
Erestor watched the scene in front of him with growing angry. He watched as the blonde she-elf flirted with Glorfindel. Storming out of the room he headed to the gardens to get himself under control. Wandering to himself why he cared who flirted with his best friend. He should be happy for him.
It was not long before he felt someone sit down beside him. Taking the bottle of wine that was offered he took a drink.
“Can you believe that she-elf? Hanging all over me.” Glorfindel asked his friend. “As if I would like some one like her, besides I still have my warrior training to finish. The two of us are going to be great warrior. We have no time for females.
Erestor smiled to himself as he took another drink and passed the bottle back to his friend. “That is right. Great warrior. The two of us.” Erestor said shaking his head. The two sit in the darkness of the garden slowly drinking the stolen bottle of wine. Neither talking, just glazing at the stars as they floated by. As Glorfindel drank the last drop he stood, reaching down he helped his friend to his feet. “Off to bed I think, I leave for my first patrol tomorrow.”
“Oh yes, you do have that. I can not wait till I can go next year.” Erestor said enviously
“Yes, you have to wait another whole year.” Glorfindel teased his younger friend.
Slapping Glorfindel arm at his teasing, he then slipped his arm around Glorfindel’s as they headed out of the gardens.
A week later....
Glorfindel could not wait to see Erestor. He had to tell him what he had seen while he was out on patrol. Stealing a few bottles of wine from his father he headed to find his friend.
Erestor looked up to see his friend walking through the garden. Putting his book down he waited for his friend to sit down. “You read too much. One might think you are one of those paper pushers.” Glorfindel informed his friend has he toke him into a hug.
Erestor just laughed as he returned the hug saying; “well some of us need other things to occupy our minds when others are gone, and how was your first patrol.”
“It was very interesting, I will tell you more once we find a quiet, secluded place were we could drink and be undisturbed.” Glorfindel told his friend as he revealed the hidden bottles he had taken.
Taking Erestor hand they set out to their secret spot. Upon arriving he pulled him down beside him as he pulled out the bottles of wine. Opening the first one he passed it to his friend as he opened his. “Do you remember the time I walked in on my parents?” He started.
“Yes, did you catch someone else?” Erestor asked as he took another drink.
“Yes, but this time it was two males.” Glorfindel told him.
“Two males?” Erestor asked shocked.
“Yes, two males. Ress, it was the most erotic thing I have ever seen. I did not think two males could be together like that.” Glorfindel answered.
“Neither did I, but then again if I think about it I guess they could. There are a lot of couples around here that our both male. I just thought they were friends like us.” Erestor said.
Glorfindel put down his wine bottle as he moved to sit in front of his friend, “maybe they are Erestor. I mean.” Looking down Glorfindel tried to find the courage to finish. “I have never wanted to be around any one but you, and when I seen those two all I could think about was if the two of us could do that.” He finished looking up in to Erestor’s eyes.
When Erestor did not say anything he said, “Never mind. Forget I said anything.” Moving back to his spot he took up his bottle and took a big swag of the wine. Looking at his friend he hoped he had not crossed the line.
Erestor sit there for a minute thinking about what Glorfindel had said. Taking the wine bottle to his lips he started drinking till he could not drink anymore. Bring the bottle back down he looked at his friend and brought the bottle back to his lips. It was not long when he noticed the entire bottle was gone. As the wine moved through his vines and Glorfindel’s words moved through his mind a smile moves across his face. Before he knew what he was doing he found himself sitting in Glorfindel’s lap taking his lips.
Glorfindel was surprised when he found his friend in his lap but was left with no time to think about it as his lips were captured. Bringing his arms up he flipped his friend on to the ground. Soon clothing found their way to the ground as hands roamed over bare flash. Kissing his way down his friend’s throat Glorfindel reached to grab the bottle of oil he knew his friend keep in his pocket. He was never so glad of Erestor’s habit of keeping his hands soft as he was at that minute. Opening the bottle he poured a good amount into his hand. Slicking his member he aligned himself up to his friend’s opening and pushed in.
Erestor noticed two things at once. He was now sober, and he was in pain. He tried desperately to make Glorfindel stop, but with the next trust his friend hit something in side of him that made his whole world spin. His pushing hands turned into pulling hands. Now he tried desperately to pull his friend closer to him. A warm feeling started in the pit of his stomach and slowly spread through out his body. Both steeled as they minds connected. His friend’s every memory poured into his mind. Looking into his friend’s eyes he knew the same was true of him. For what seemed like an eternity they stared into each other’s eyes. A single tear escaped his eyes at the amount of love his friend had for him. Slowly they started to move as one, never breaking eye contact. Each was content with the fact that they both now belong to the other for all eternity, and each surprised to see they always had. The love they held for each other poured into the touches and caress they bestowed upon each other. They moved to completion each with the other’s names on their lips. Carefully Glorfindel pulled out of his new husband and pulled him into his arms. The two soon fall asleep holding each other.
Hours later Erestor’s father came upon the two. He had been out looking for the adolescent elfling for hours and had almost giving up.
Glorfindel came awake and instantly noticed three things; one it was late, two they were naked, and third and most frighten was that Erestor’s father were standing over them. He knew they were in trouble and a scared feeling creped into his heart. Wrapping his arms tightly around his husband he stared daring him to separate them. Seeing the look in his son’s friend’s eyes Erestor’s father knew he had to handle this lightly. One wrong word and he would lose his son. Slowly he handed their clothes to Glorfindel and told him, “The two of you need to get dressed and meet us at our house.” With that he turned and walked away.
Erestor had never been so frighten in his whole life as he had been when Glorfindel had woke him telling him that his father had been there. Slowly they dressed, as he pulled the last of his clothing on he felt Glorfindel’s arms wrap around him from behind. At the contact of his husband he relaxed a little. Leaning back he asked, “What do you think they will do?”
“Do not worry, they can not separate us. Not now, not ever. You are mine and I am yours, and nothing they do can change that.” Glorfindel stated.
“Fin, we have not reached our matured yet, they can.” Erestor said as he turned into Glorfindel embrace.
“If they try we will run away.” Glorfindel told him.
All Mandos’ Halls had broken out when they return to Erestor’s home. Glorfindel’s parents were already there, and all for them were auguring. As they stepped into the room all talk stopped. Glorfindel’s father stepped forward and grabbed him by the arm pulling him from the room, his mother following closely behind.
As the door closed Erestor looked to his parents for their reaction.
Taking a deep breath his father came to him taking his son into his arms he told him that everything would work out in the end. Kissing him on the forehead he sent his son to bed telling him that they would talk come morning. Erestor was surprised when his mother came into his room a little while later sating down on the edge of his bed. Erestor rose up and folded his arms over his knees as he waited for his mother to talk. For what seemed like hours later she started, “Erestor my son, I love you that you should never forget, but at this moment I am extremely disappointed in the TWO of you. You both have a few more years till your matured. What were you two thinking? I guess I should blame myself,” raising her hand she stopped his protest. “Yes, I should have had this talk with you a long time ago,” She looked out the window gathering up her courage she continued. “You see my child every so often a male child is born with the ability to carry a child. It is rare, but you see,” as his mother talked Erestor could feel his heart stopping. ‘What was she saying,’ he thought looking to his mother he asked. “I am such an elf? Right.”
His mother with tears in her eyes shook her head. Taking his hand she continued, “you will have to be careful, some male elves that this happens too do not survive the birth,” with that she fled the room
Lying upon his bed Erestor could feel the anger that Glorfindel was feeling and knew that it was not going as well at his house. Getting up he started to gather his things knowing that Glorfindel would soon be there to collect him. He was sitting upon his bed waiting when Glorfindel tapped on his window. Nodding his head he quietly go up and headed out of the house, stopping only long enough to place a letter to his parents on a table as he walked out.
They had riding all night in silence. Finally as the sun started to raise Erestor could not take any more. “So I take it that it did not go so well?” He asked.
“No it did not go well,” Glorfindel said. “That son of an orc’s ass told me I was a disgrace to my heritage, but what I will never forgive is what he said about you.”
Erestor sucked in his breath.
“He said that he should have stopped my friendship and I quote with that freak of nature. I was so mad I stormed to my room before I did something stupid like hit him.” Glorfindel finished. Looking around he noticed Erestor had stopped. Turning his horse around he headed back to his best friend and mate. “Ress, what is wrong.” As the tears started to fall he pulled his husband in to his lap.
“I am a freak,” Erestor sobbed into Glorfindel’s shoulder.
Glorfindel running smoothing circles on Erestor back said, “ No you are not. You are a wonderful, intelligent elf. I am very lucky to have your love and friendship.”
“No, I am. My mother told me before you came.” Erestor sobbed louder. “She told me that I was able to carry a child. What kind of male can carry a child?”
“A child?” Glorfindel asked as he pulled Erestor back to look at him. “Ress, are you telling me you could be carrying my child?”
Erestor looked at Glorfindel as he nodded his head. Praying that Glorfindel would not think he was disgusting for being such a freak.
“AND YOU LET ME CARRY YOU OFF.” Glorfindel yelled. Taking a deep breathe calming his beating heart he continued, “what if we had been attacked? What if you had fallen off your horse? Should you even be on a horse?”
Erestor just stared at his mate. This was not the reaction he had thought he would receive. “I did not think of that. I just knew I could not let you leave by yourself.” He answered. Suddenly a yawn was pulled from his lips as the events of the last few hours caught up to him.
Glorfindel seeing the yawn pulled Erestor into a more comfortable position and laid his head upon his shoulder. “Sleep my love, I will take care of everything.” It was not long before his mate was fast asleep. Grabbing the reins of Erestor’s horse he turned his around and headed toward home. The safety of his mate was more important then any thing else.
Glorfindel was surprised when half way back he ran into The Captain of Imladris and a good number of guards. As they moved to surround them the captain leaned over and whispered as to not wake the sleeping elf. “I have been ordered to escort the two of you back to Imladris. You are to speak to no one until after Lord Elrond has spoken with the two of you. Do you understand?”
Glorfindel shook his head that he understood. He hopped that everything would be well when they spoke with the Lord of Imladris. He had never met the Lord, but had heard that he was a wise and just Lord. Pulling his love to him, he hopped that it was true.
Glorfindel held Erestor’s hand, as they were lead to Lord Elrond’s office. Neither knew what would happen once they were there. They could only hope that he would help them.
Lord Elrond looked from one elfling to the other. Thinking to him self how ones so young could have cause so much trouble. Snorting to himself he had to admit that it was not all these two fault. No a good part of this laid on the shoulders of their parents. One set of not telling their son the truth and the other for not handling the problem right.
“You do not how dangerous it was for the two of you to leave alone?” He asked the two.
As both heads bowed to look at the floor he continued. “What the two of you have done is inexcusable, but nothing can be done about it now. Glorfindel.” He waited for the blonde to look at him before finishing. “Your father has stated that you are no longer welcomed in his home. Erestor’s parents have offered to house you as you are their son’s mate, but I have suggested that the two of you might want your own place. I will assign the two of you rooms here in the main house for the time being. Erestor I am assuming that you were on the receiving end of this joining.” Waiting only long enough to receive the nod from the young one he continued, “You do understand that you will not be able to continue with you warrior training till we find out right. Now I want to talk to you some more, but first I want to talk with Glorfindel. Please stay here, we will be right back.” With that he stood and walked to the door and waited for Glorfindel to join him. Once they were out of the room he continued, “Glorfindel, I want to stress to you how dangerous it is for Erestor to be with child, especially at his young age. We can hope that he is not, but if he is we need to keep him calm and relaxed at all time. If he is not then you must make sure he does not become so until he is older and I will say that even then it will be dangerous.” Turning to look at the young warrior he lifted his face where their eyes met, “This means you will need to yield to him. That is the only way to ensure his safety. Do I make my self understood.” he demand.
“Yes, my Lord. Had I known I would have let him take me to began with.” he answered.
“There should not have been a to began with. What possessed the two of you to do this?” Elrond asked.
Glorfindel nervously told his Lord about seeing the two elves while on patrol and then how he had stolen some of his father’s wine. As Elrond listened to Glorfindel’s tale he mental made a point to talk to the captains about watching the young ones more carefully. As he finished his tale Glorfindel waited for his Lords punishment.
Taking a deep breath Elrond looked to the young one, “Glorfindel, you are but 41 and Erestor is but 40. You are both two young to be bonded. You will both have a hard life ahead of you, but it is a path you are both on now. I can only offer my help.” Closing his eyes as the weight of what the two will go through he continued, “I do believe it is time to return to your mate.” With that he lead the young one back to his office. A heavy feeling in his heart at the hard life the two will have. He secretly prayed that Erestor was not with child. He feared that he would not survive the birth, but he vowed to do everything in his power to make sure that did not happen.
After his Lord and Glorfindel had left Erestor started to look around the very messy office. He wondered to himself how Lord Elrond ever found anything in this mess. He started to straighten some papers and before he knew it he had straightened just about he entire office. When the door opened he jumped expecting Lord Elrond to be upset with him.
Upon opening his door Elrond stared at his office and a plan developed in his mind, Walking around to were Erestor stood he made the elfling look up to him as he asked, “Erestor did you do all of this?”
“Yes, My Lord, I am sorry. I did not mean to mess with your things, but everything was so messy and I started to straighten some papers and then.” He waved his arms around the room.
Elrond laughed as he looked around, “Yes the room was a mess. Do you think you would be willing to be my assistant until you go back to your training.”
“I would love that, My Lord.” Erestor replied. He had never had the heart to tell everyone that he did not want to be a warrior that he much preferred to work inside, but as his father was a warrior it was believed that he too should be a warrior.
Over the next few week Glorfindel and Erestor settled in to a comfortable life together. Erestor soon learned that orders had been left that he was never to be left alone, so every where he went he found someone watching him. Everyone seemed to be walking on eggshells around him and it was driving him insane. He sincerely hoped he was not with child if this was the behavior that everyone would have around him, but as he suffered through the third morning of feeling nauseous he new he was with child. Stepping into the office he now shared with Lord Elrond, he had to grab hold of a nearby chair as a wave of nauseate washed over him. Elrond took one look at the young one, shook his head and processed to take him to the healing wing. Stopping only long enough to send a message to Erestor’s parents and Glorfindel.
A few hours later Erestor sit in Elrond’s office with Glorfindel and his parents listen to him go over the care that he would be receiving. He was told in no uncertain terms that he was to work only four hours a day, to take a nap every afternoon, and to take a small walk every day, but only with someone with him. He was not to lift or carry anything heavy and was to follow the diet that Elrond give him. Lord Elrond told him that if he followed this list then he could deliver a healthy baby in about ten months. Lord Elrond then processed to tell them what would happen at the time of delivery. Erestor paled at the thought of being cut open. Feeling Glorfindel’s hand take his he looked at his husband. He smiled softly as Glorfindel raised his hand and placed a kiss to the back of it before saying, “I will be right beside you the whole time.”
Erestor soon found the joy for being with child, as all the females dotted on him. He always found little snacks waiting for him in his rooms or in Elrond’s office. At meals he always had his favorites and all the males treated him as if he would brake at any minute for they soon learned that if they did not they had to put up with their wives. Erestor followed Elrond’s orders and seen him once a week. As the months passed he worked, slept, and ate. Every day he took a walk in the gardens, some days Glorfindel walked with him and on other days his mother did, there were some days that even Lord Elrond would walk with him. Every night his husband would rub his feet before bed and curl up behind him to sleep. Always with his hands rested on his stomach. They were asleep like this one night near the end of Erestor’s pregnancy when he was pulled from his sleep by a sharp pain that shot across his abdomen. He laid there for a few minutes to be sure of what he felt when a scream was torn from his lips as the next pain started.
Glorfindel jumped out of their bed at the sound of the scream. Looking around he tried to see what the danger was when his eyes focus on Erestor breathing heavily. Trying to get up Erestor singled for Glorfindel to help him saying, “It is time. We need to get to the healing wing.” Slowly the two made their way to the healing wing, but as the next pain hit Erestor’s legs buckled out from under him. Glorfindel scooped him up and walked as fast as he could, stopping only long enough to tell a servant to inform Lord Elrond that Erestor had gone into labor. A few hours later Glorfindel entered the room that Erestor’s parents had been waiting in carrying a very tiny male baby. Walking up to Erestor’s parents he smiled as he removed the blanket covering the baby’s face saying, “I would like you to meet my son, Lindir.”
Erestor’s mother smiles as he looked upon her first grandchild saying, “Look he has my hair.” sure enough the small baby already had a full head of the most beautiful white hair.
“But he has my ears,” boasted Erestor’s father.
“How is our son,” asked Erestor’s mother as she smiled at her grandchild
“He is doing fine. Elrond said he should wake up soon. I should return so that his elfling is close when he does.” Glorfindel answered as he covered the little one back up and returned to his husband.
In the years that followed Glorfindel became a mighty warrior, moving through the ranks to make captain. Erestor proved himself to be a resourceful, ingenious, practical advisor, and little Lindir grew to be the most talented musician that any had every known. Making both is parents proud.
When the High King sent the call for aid in the battle of the last alliance. Imladris answered the call sending her best warriors and her Lord. Erestor and Glorfindel had fought for weeks over Erestor wanted to go, but in the end he kissed his husband goodbye and wished him luck, and when they return he helped them grieve the lost of their King. The two shared in the joy of the bonding of Lord Elrond to the Lady Celebrian. They were there at the birth of the twins and years later at the birth of little Arwen. It was during this time that Erestor felt the longing for another child, after approaching his husband the two approached Elrond and a little over a year later they welcome their second son, Melpomaen, into the world. One look at him and none could deny that he was his father’s son. He grew with a love of books and soon joined the ranks of the scribes that tended to the books in the library. None could deny that the Last Homely House was a place filled with love, or that Erestor and Glorfindel were friends through the years.

The End
