Erestor wandered the halls of the Last Homely House in a tiring search for his love. Having woken up later in the day than he had planned, he knew he had a lot of work to do in the library, but could not seem to get himself into the spirit of it without his good morning kiss from Glorfindel. He’d always seen it as a silly ritual between them, but it had gone on for long enough now that he craved those sweet kisses. And here he was wandering around like a lost puppy.

Reaching Elrond’s rooms, he stopped and prepared to knock, knowing he should at least say good morning to the Lord of Imladris. And after all, maybe he knew where Glorfindel was hiding this fine morning.

He stopped his hand just short of striking the heavy wood door when he heard voices.

“I do not like when things get stale, but what am I to do?”

It was Glorfindel’s voice! So that is where he is hiding out! Erestor lowered his hand and pressed his ear to the door, eager to hear what he had to say.

The next voice belonged to Elrond.

“What do you think you should do?”

“I would like to spice things up, but how? Erestor is not very adventurous, but I fear boring him until he leaves. It really is a hard spot I am trapped in, Lord Elrond!”

“I understand, believe me. This is a hard spot I have found myself in before.”

“What did you do to get out of it?”

“I did not have much of a chance to try, I am afraid.”

“Oh. I am sorry.”

“It is alright, Glorfindel. How is your breakfast?”

“Very good! You know how I love blueberries!”

“All too well! Your lips… they are blue.”

“Mmm.” The two laughed. “It is a fine blue, I am sure, from fine blueberries.”

Erestor removed his ear from the door. Blueberries? He never knew Glorfindel liked blueberries so much. He quickly pushed it away to make room for other topics in his mind. Glorfindel did not think he was adventurous? And he thought he was boring him?

“Then I must be boring him in return.” Erestor sighed. Giving up on his good morning kiss, he moved away from the door and made his way to the library.

Not much work was completed in the library that day. Erestor found his mind wandering too much and he kept losing himself to daydreams good enough to be reality.

“Erestor?”

He looked up and smiled at Melpomaen staring down at him. “Yes, Melpomaen?”

“Are you feeling alright today?”

“Yes, fine, why do you ask?”

“You seem pale, is all. And you have not completed almost any of the day’s tasks. It is unlike you.”

“I know. I am sorry, Melpomaen, but my mind is wandering today. I do not seem to be into my work today.”

“Would you like me to finish this evening?”

“No. It can wait until tomorrow. Have the evening to yourself, I plan on having mine.”

“Thank you!”

“Of course. Go now, I think I am done for the day myself.”

He watched as Melpomaen straightened his work area and gathered his things. With a final smile, he watched the young elf hurry from the library. It had been so long since either one had taken a day off or even left early that he thought he picked up an air of rushing from the young elf. No doubt he wanted to escape before Erestor changed his mind.

Erestor’s stomach grumbled. He had missed lunch, losing track of the time of day. Gathering his things, he decided to make his way over for a small snack before evening meal. His cravings were not helping him to decide on what to eat, but finding something would be easy enough.

The basket stared up at him. The blueberries were a fine dark blue, their ripe smell filling his senses and make his mind swirl. Erestor gazed at them. At first, his mind was blank. But then he remembered the overheard conversation this morning. Boring, huh? His eyes twinkled with delight as his mind filled with a new playful idea.

Snatching the basket, Erestor hurried off to his rooms.

Glorfindel wandered through the garden, taking time to kick rocks. He was mad at himself. He knew things were perfectly fine between himself and Erestor, but he had to go and put thoughts into his own mind. Thoughts that made impending doom seem so much closer.

He had never fallen in love before. Since childhood, his entire life had been dedicated to being a warrior, and he had long ago convinced himself that love did not fit in to his plans or job description. Many elves he had turned away and many chances at happiness and pleasure.

And then came the day he had met Erestor. With his long, silken black hair and chocolate colored eyes, Glorfindel could not turn him away. In fact, he found himself putting in a lot of effort to win the affections of the little elf who had shown no interest before. But somehow he had won out. And now he found himself in a situation he’d never been in.

He was not sure he was doing it right. Was Erestor still interested? Was he being loving enough? Was Erestor getting bored with him?

His mind swirled with thoughts and ideas. He had to do something to make sure Erestor did not lose interest or become bored. But what to do? He was creative in battle but not in personal matters of the heart. Elrond had not been very helpful, although he really had been. Their talk this morning had been mostly aimed at making Glorfindel think it out for himself. If he could do that, the rest of eternity with Erestor would be sured up.

But getting to that point was the trick.

He looked up at the rising move above. It was getting late. He should be thinking of returning to Erestor’s rooms soon or he would get worried. The two had not seen each other all day, and of course this worried Glorfindel some more. Does he think I do not care?

+++++++++++++++++++++

Erestor looked at the items before. What a change for him! Everything was blue! But it was ready to go.

The blue bed sheets were in place, topped by a blue blanket. On the bed he had a robe of sheer blue and some blue candles. He had mixed the fresh blueberries with some other herbs and crushed the mixture into a sweet smelling paste that let off the scent of blueberry. This would not be a boring night. Not at all!

Grabbing the paste, he headed in for a bath. He washed his hair and skin with the same paste, glad that it did not tint his skin as he had feared it would. But he smelled strongly of blueberry. It was perfection!

Stepping out of the water, he dried himself lightly and combed out his long hair. Covering himself with the sheer blue robe, he hurried out into the main room with the remainder of the paste. Picking up the blue candles, he coated each in a thin layer of it before lighting them off of already lit candles. He replaced his regular white candles with the now scented blue ones and extinguished them before placing them in a drawer.

Standing by the bed, he breathed in deeply. The smell of blueberry in the room was strong but not overpowering. He smiled as he realized he had accomplished his goal perfectly. He sat down at the table by the window, being careful to not stand by the window itself. The sheer robe showed more of his body than he wanted all of Imladris to see. His body was only for Glorfindel to lay his eyes upon.

He was nervous. He knew Glorfindel would be back any moment now, but could not help fidgeting. The remainder of the fresh blueberries sat in the basket. He lifted it and tapped it, moving the berries around so they fit perfectly with no dents or dips. Placing it back down on the table, he adjusted it repeatedly until he was satisfied that it sat perfectly centered on the little table.

The knock finally came. After all this time, Glorfindel still insisted on knocking before opening the door.

“Enter!” Erestor squeaked a little too loudly.

The door opened slowly. He watched as Glorfindel stepped in, his eyes wandering around the noticeable blueness of the room, his nose prickling at the smell of the fresh berries. His eyes eventually made their way to Erestor and he smiled. The little elf stood, somewhat self conscious in the sheer robe that he now cursed himself for wearing.

“Wow,” Glorfindel breathed. “You look… amazing.”

“The tramp look is in, I hear.” He blushed when he realized how stupid that had sounded.

But Glorfindel laughed in return. “You could do nothing to look like a tramp, my love. You look beautiful, as always. But what is all of this?”

“You said you liked blueberries.”

“And I am starting to like them a whole lot more. But what is the occasion?”

“We need one?”

“Of course not.”

“I thought it was high time we tried something different. And this, I suppose is my horrible attempt at romance.”

Glorfindel smiled and walked across the room. Standing before Erestor he put his arms around him and lightly rubbed his back through the robe. “Horrible attempt? I think your attempt is wonderful! This is very romantic.”

Erestor blushed at the compliment but stopped short as his mouth was taken in a hungry kiss.

Breaking apart, Glorfindel looked at him. “Blueberries. They make me hungry.”

“Really?”

“Yes. And you smell,” he paused to lean in to Erestor’s neck and sniff him playfully. “You smell good enough to eat, my little berry!”

Erestor giggled and buried his face in Glorfindel’s chest. The blonde stroked his hair softly, kicking up more of the berry scent. He could feel the bulge in his pants growing. “You have completely destroyed breakfast for me. I will never be able to eat blueberries in Elrond’s room again without lifting the table right up off the ground!”

“I will have to remember that, for I have a few tables I would very much enjoy watching you lift!”

“Oh really, would you?”

He bent down and swept the small elf off his feet and began carrying him to the bed. “I prefer lifting you!”

They kissed again before Glorfindel laid him down on the blue sheets below them. He undressed as he watched Erestor intently. The little elf smiled playfully, slowly untying the robe he wore and feeling his own excitement grow as he watched his lover undress in return.

Glorfindel removed the remainder of his clothing and joined his love on the bed, helping him the rest of the way out of his robe. “This robe will look much better on the floor, love!”

Their kisses were deep and hungry, their tongues moving together and exploring each other’s mouths. Breaking the kiss, Glorfindel began his work on Erestor’s neck. Licking once, he stopped and looked into Erestor’s eyes. “You taste like blueberry, also. How did you do this?”

“Smooshed berries. Bath. Lick!”

Glorfindel laughed quietly before returning his attentions to Erestor’s neck. The taste filled his mouth again as he began to gently suck. It was not long before he began running his tongue along the length of his body, savoring the smell and taste of the soft skin he met at every curve and angle.

Coming up for a breath, Erestor lifted his head and looked at him. “I will let you guess where I spent extra time with the berry mix!”

Abandoning his rest, Glorfindel slid the rest of the way down and quickly took his lover’s elfhood in his mouth. The taste of blueberries hit him hard, like a fresh stash just brought in. He ran his tongue over the entire length of Erestor’s member, making sure to not miss a single spot. His unusually hungry attentions summoned a squeal of pleasure from the little elf under him.

He felt his own release coming far too soon. Glorfindel stopped his attentions on Erestor’s elfhood, his lover releasing a squeal of protest at the action. Moving himself between his legs, Glorfindel lifted them to his hips as he reached for the berry paste on the table. He coated his member in it liberally, the smell of the now sexually tantalizing berries make his blood rush. He dropped the bowl on the ground and thrust himself inside his lover, Erestor’s surprised cry making them both jump.

Only moments later he locked his eyes on Erestor as he bucked into him. Arching his back, Erestor cried out loudly, his seed spilling over himself and the sheets. Glorfindel pressed a little harder, making the little elf wiggle beneath him as the pleasure rose in waves. The golden warrior moaned out his own orgasm soon after.

Flopping down on the bed next to Erestor, he took his mouth in another hungry kiss as they both panted into each other.

“Well, love. That was a surprise. A good one.”

“Yes, but I must make more changes to my plans.”

“Oh?”

“Yes. More berry paste in the good places.”

Glorfindel laughed before kissing him again, allowing his erection to quickly return.
