e have been summoned to listen to Mandos's words. One after the other he speaks to, tells us who is to wake up in Irmo's garden again. We all are gathered around him and many of us rejoice.
But you and I do not.
We are still here. We are disembodied souls, here in the halls of Mandos. I often wish I could touch you, but without hands it is not possible. My soul clings to yours and I am not willing to give up that little closeness. It is not much that I ask.
Mandos tells me to go. They have decided that I am healed. That I finally will receive my body again to live among the elves in Valinor. I ask him if you can go with me and he tells me that this is not possible. He even states, thundering, that it is unthinkable, that they will ever allow you to leave the halls at all.
And I look at the mighty Valar and my soul cries out and I weep bitterly the invisible tears of a soul without a body. I cannot leave you nor ever will. At least in death I am beside you. And I will stay with you, till the end of times
