The seasons had changed from the cool Autumn winds of late fall, into the harsh white blanket of winter, back into the favorite time of the Elves. The dawning of springtime, when the formal courtship of loved ones would begin.

With the newness of spring, the brilliant flowers of Imladris's famed gardens came to life, and along with this life, also came the blooming of Imladris's Chief Councilor, Erestor.

His waist length raven hair, surrounded the Councilor like a living cloud whenever he moved, his smooth cat-like movements catching the eyes of many a appreciating armorers. But none had eyes for the slight elf, more so than the ruler of this great realm, Elrond Half-Elven.

Long had the shyness and shame about his condition left him, with the gentle loving his Lord showed him, and the fateful friendship he found in many, including the famed Balrog-Slayer, Glorfindel.

So it was now not uncommon, to see a beautiful elf with wild swirling black marks covering his body walk among the citizens of Imladris, as his delicate shear wings caused a "tinkling" sound whenever he moved.

It was also not uncommon, for a visitor to the elven realm to be treated for a black eye, or a broken nose, because they were not watching where they were going, as a vision of beauty passed them by.

Apprentice healer Tizan, sighed as he patched up yet another broken nose, on some lowly human male who had the unfortunate luck to pass by the Chief Councilor.

Seeing the male, who was still in a dazed dreamy state, walk out the healing wing doors, Tizan sighed again, as his Lord walked into the room at the same time.

Lord Elrond raised an eyebrow in amusement, as he watched the enthralled man stumble out the door, and he then turned his attention to his apprentice. "Erestor, strikes again?" Elrond asked with a poorly hidden chuckle.

"Aye, my Lord" Tizan said, as he sat down on a near by stool.

Elrond chuckled softly, as he clasped his apprentice gently on the shoulder, "So, how many is that?" Elrond asked, his amusement clearly showing.

"Twenty-six, my Lord. With the count at five for just today! You would need no army in a war, with your betrothed at your side, my Lord! The enemy would drown themselves in their own drool, when their eyes rested on your Chief Councilor!" Tizan said, really not meaning to sound whining.

Elrond laughed heartily, "I will have to remember that, the next time I ride into battle!"

Just then, Imladris's golden Captain, Glorfindel walked in dragging a dazed Lorien elf behind him, the elf's nose bleeding profusely.

Both healers jumped up at once, and crossed over to the Balrog -Slayer, gently taking the injured elf from his hands. "What happened? A training accident?" Elrond asked, as he pressed a white cloth over the bleeding elf's nose.

"Nay. It was more likely, an Erestor accident." Glorfindel said rudely, as he rolled his eyes.

After motioning for his apprentice to bring him a salve, while steadily keeping pressure on the bleeding appendage, Elrond turned towards his Captain. "Well at least he didn't fall out of a balcony, when Erestor reveal his true form to him, like somebody I know!" Elrond said, his eyes shining wickedly.

"Yeah, Mister "Ouch, I broke my arm trying to fly, Glorfindel!" Tizan said, as he rolled his eyes again, mentally increasing the total of Erestor's related accidents for the day by one, as he handed the salve to his Lord.

Elrond's face turned beet red, as he tried his best to keep from laughing at Glorfindel's outraged _expression. Elrond toned out the other two elves, as his thoughts turned towards his beloved, his own eyes becoming dazed. With a silly smile on his lips, his fingers worked on instinct applying the salve, never noticing that a abnormally large amount of salve was finding it's way smeared across the dazed elf's face.

"Errrr, My Lord? I think that is enough salve." Glorfindel said, as he finally stopped bickering with the apprentice healer, who had threaten to shove the Balrog-Slayer into a closet

Elrond placed the jar of salve on the table beside of the elf, "Yes, I think you are right. I need to go do......err... something Lordly now." Elrond said, as he dazedly wondered out of the healing wing.

"Erestor strikes again!" Tizan said, smirking at Glorfindel.

Glorfindel grabbed the apprentice healer around his neck, placing him in a head-lock, "Now what was that about a closet, my little troll droppings?" Glorfindel asked sweetly, as he dragged the apprentice healer out of the healing wing, towards the nearest closest.

Neither noticed the still dazed Lorien elf, with the salve pasted face, still sitting on the table.
