Ch1

Glorfindel jolted upright from his sound reverie and furrowed his brow.
The seneschal blinked, his body tense as he tilted his head to listen.
Then he heard it, a wrenching scream echoed through the walls and the
slayer leapt from his bed, grabbed his sword and rushed from his
chamber.

As he ran down the hall, he spied Elrond up ahead "My lord Elrond!"

The elven lord winced when he saw the great slayer approach in nothing
but his sleep pants and held up his hands "Daro Glorfindel all is well"

The seneschal blinked confused and shook his head "But my lord, someone
is...did...did you not hear the screams"

Elrond stepped forward and nodded "Nai I did, thus why I am standing
here. Saes Glorfindel, try to calm yourself all is well. It has only
been a few months since you have returned to us, and the majority of
that time was spent with my sons learning our borders and lands within.
Now that you are finished and will be living within my home regularly,
you will learn that these screams are a regular occurrence and nothing
to fret over"

Glorfindel relaxed his stance and inclined his head "Tis true, I do not
know the inner workings of your household that well yet. But as your
caption, may I know who is screaming and why?"

As Elrond opened his mouth to answer, the door next to them flew open
and Glorfindel quickly stepped back as the fairest elf he had ever seen
dashed out and disappeared down the hall.

Elrond frowned, then growled "Uduns arse...leave your sword and follow
me!"

The seneschal promptly tossed his sword into the elfs chamber and
followed swiftly after his lord. When he finally caught up, he noticed
that Elrond was standing a few feet from the elf, who was standing in
the crossway of two corridors, turning sharply and panting heavily as
though he did not know which way to proceed.

Glorfindel worried his brow as the fair elf suddenly began to swat and
brush at his body, as though he were trying to remove some invisible
foe.
As the elfs hands made there way to his hair, he released a strangled
cry "Eeeahh nay! Nay get them off me!" then bolted down one of the
halls.

When the two eldars caught up to the distraught elf, they found him
laying peacefully on one of the hall benches, breathing deeply in
reverie.

Elrond relaxed his shoulders and sighed "Finally"

Glorfindel slowly leaned close to his new lord and whispered "Is...is
he
mad?"

Elrond furrowed his brow angrily as he turned to answer, then softened
his features upon noticing the sincere concern etched across the reborn
slayers face as he gazed down at the now sleeping elf "Nay Glorfindel
he is not mad. He is plagued with nightmares that stem from a fear he
developed when he was but an elfling"

Glorfindel tilted his head and lightly whispered "Who is he...I mean..."

Elrond gently smiled with amusement "He is my Chief Advisor...Erestor"

The elven lord then placed his hand on his shoulder "You are larger
then me Glorfindel, would you carry him back for me?"

Without a word, the seneschal picked him up and held him close "Aye
Valar, he weighs nothing"

Elrond arched his brow as Erestor unconsciously placed his hand on the
seneschals bare chest, then rested his head in the crook of his neck
and
whispered "Kill them...saes...kill them for me, do not let them near..."

Glorfindel looked to his lord, then turned back and whispered into the
daintiest ear he had ever seen "I will do what I can...rest easy"

Once they were back at his chamber, Glorfindel placed him on his bed,
then followed his lord into the hall "My lord, what type of elf is
he...I have never seen a more...err...delicate looking male"

Elrond smiled as he closed the door "He was left at the border of
Lothlorien as an elfling and taken in by a scribe and his family. His
parentage is unknown"

Glorfindel looked back at the now closed door and shook his head "Who
does he fear, he whispered 'kill them, do not let them near'...who is
'them' my lord"

Elrond chuckled as he held up his hand "Worry not Glorfindel. Hannon le
for your help, you should return to your reverie, Anar will be rising
soon, get some rest. I will see you at morning meal...you will be
sitting at my table"

The seneschal arched his brow "Your table my lord? I do not eat with my
fellows?"

Elrond shook his head "Nay, the warriors eat in the barracks, my
caption
usually sits to my right, and my advisor at my left during meals. In
fact, it is to be a beautiful day, I think we shall eat on my private
terrace...Elladan and Elrohir will be there as well"

Glorfindel lightly inclined his head and placed his hand to his heart
"Till morning then my lord"
