Midnight. Full moon. The city was lit with street lamps and headlights from cars passing by. A dark figure could be seen jumping from building to building, from roof to roof, from wall to wall. His deep black leather coat floated in the wind as did his brown hair which was marked with light blonde strands.

Suddenly he stopped on the top of a tower block, took off his sunglasses and looked around. He breathed deeply and grinned to reveal two long canine teeth. They were near, he could feel them. His hand reached slowly and carefully for the grip of his silver sword.

“I know you’re out there…”, he whispered, almost to himself before abruptly turning around and cutting off the head of a young woman. Her head flew away while the rest of her body sank to the ground before transforming into ashes and vanishing without leaving a trace.

“Show yourself!”, he then shouted into the night without getting an answer. “Ok, then, I know you’re near and I know you can hear me. Tell him that he will not succeed. I will take care of that.”

With that he turned away from the place where seconds before the woman had lain, opened a door that lead into the building and shut it loud behind him.

He was sure that this was the right building. He could almost smell the presence of his victim. He turned left now and a long corridor lay in front of him, lots of doors on both sides of it. He slowly went through it, looking from right to left, checking the numbers on the doors. 12A, 13A, 14A. And then he finally reached it. 15A. He knocked softly three times and waited. Noises could be heard, foot steps, a cough, a sneeze, a rattling of keys. The door was opened a bit revealing only some green eyes, a red nose and thin lips.

“Yeah, can Ah help ye?”, a Scottish accent asked him.

“Are you Billy Boyd?”

The man nodded.

“I am Dominic. And I need your help.”
