Summary: Valentines fluff.
Valentines.
There had been a distant hammering sounding from the corridor, until now he had been able to ignore it with mild annoyance and curiosity. But once the hammering sounded at the doors of his own quarters Erestor marked the page in his book and put it aside to investigate. Once opening his door Erestor took a step back to avoid being hit by a mischievous young Elladan holding a small hammer.
“Elladan, what, prey tell are you doing to my chamber door?”
“Happy Valentines Erestor. Elrohir and I have come up with a most wondrous plan this year!”
“You plan to wake the entire house by hammering on their doors in the middle of the night?” He was clearly not amused at the late night disturbance.
“Oh Erestor, this time tomorrow you will be thanking us when your box is overflowing with valentine cards.”
“Box?”
“Aye, we have attached small boxes to every door for the anonymous exchange of valentines cards!”
Erestor simply looked at the youngster blankly before eying his door with a sigh. “That had better not leave a mark when you remove it Elladan.”
“I promise that if it does I will repair the damage myself.”
“Very well, but do finish up soon, it is late and others may be trying to sleep.”
“Very well, goodnight Erestor.”
“Good night young one.” He replied with a small smile, he couldn’t help but find the boys excitement over what he considered a superficial and pointless holiday sweet.
He closed the door behind him, only wincing slightly when hearing the less pronounced thudding that travelled farther down the hallway. ‘Pointless’ he thought again with a shake of the head, ignoring the small pang of what? Possible excitement? Hope in maybe receiving a card? Another brief shake of the head, ‘pointless’ he reminded himself again as he extinguished the candle by his bedside and climbed beneath the sheets of his bed.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Donning his normal dark robes Erestor left his rooms in the early hours to make for his office. As he closed his door behind him the first thing he noticed were the elves that were merrily walking the hallways, which was odd at this time of morning. But then seeing that a great deal of them held cards and were smiling happily he soon remembered the twins antics last night. Looking about he noticed that most of the boxes had cards protruding from them. Quickly glancing around to make sure none were looking he inconspicuously lifted the lid to his own box with a small smile. His smile faltered though upon seeing that his box was empty. He quickly closed the lid and straightened his shoulders, telling himself not to be silly. What did it matter? It was a stupid tradition anyway. And Elladan *had* said ‘this time tomorrow’, there may be something in there a little later, not that it mattered if there wasn‘t. Telling himself again what a pointless fuss it was he quickly made his way to his office.
~*~*~*~*~*~
It was lunch, not that he’d been continuously watching the clock. But now that it was finally luncheon he hastily left his office to make for his rooms. He told himself that he simply needed to retrieve something from his quarters, not wanting to admit the real reason for returning to his rooms in the middle of the day, something he usually did not do.
Glorfindel grinned to himself, what a lovely tradition this was, and what a wonderful idea of placing small boxes on everyone’s front doors. He blushed as he picked up the cards that had fallen out of the overflowing box. He would not consider himself a prideful or conceited elf, but he had to admit he felt rather special this day. Steps from just around the corner caught his attention, and slowly, with his hands still full of cards he looked around the corner, but made sure to keep out of view.
It was Erestor. Erestor and he had a mutual respect for each other due to their positions in Imladris, and what one might call a friendship. But a friendship in the loosest of terms. Erestor was not a social being, he mostly kept to himself. He was an excellent councillor, but had a quick temper and sharp tongue which contradicted his delicate beauty. Glorfindel had always admired his unique charm and exceptional features. But the idea of Erestor and himself being anything but working colleagues or even friends was simply too absurd. As far as he could tell Erestor was interested in no one and nothing but his work. So why bother running the risk of possible embarrassment and rejection when so many others willingly fell at his feet?
He watched the advisor curiously, Erestor was looking down the hallway to make sure none others were near by, fortunately the councillor missed his presence. He watched as Erestor gently touched the box nailed to his door with a small smile, just simply running his fingers over the lid. The advisor seemed to Take a deep breath and again with what seemed an almost excited smile which made Glorfindel grin himself, and then opened the box.
The advisors smile faltered, and was soon replaced with a disappointed and saddened look. Glorfindel frowned and watched as Erestor bit his lip and again quietly closed the lid. He saw the councillor look sadly at all the other boxes in the hallway which had at least two or three cards poking out of each. He looked down at his own small mountain of cards he carried and suddenly felt guilty for his apparent popularity with residents of Imladris. He watched the slighter elf square his shoulders and leave the corridor, and returned to his own rooms.
It did not seem right that Erestor should not have at least one card when he had so many, and why should Erestor not get a card? Yes some may find him intimidating or even unpleasant to be around. But none of them truly knew him, not that he did either but all the same Erestor deserved to know that there were some who thought him intellectual and not boring, beautiful and not plain. For he was positive he could not be the only one who thought so, anyone who did not look twice, or even thrice at Erestor had in Glorfindel’s opinion a problem with their vision. The petite and fiery yet secretly sweet elf was simply…lovely. He could think of no other befitting words for the advisor he barely knew but often watched, he was simply lovely.
And then a thought came to him, with a smirk he set down his bundle of cards and gathered materials to make another one, a special one. He felt as an elfling as he stuck his tongue out of the corner of his mouth as he concentrated on the design of the card and the neatness yet non-recognisable style of his handwriting. After surveying his work he quietly opened the door to his rooms to check that the hallways were empty. Once confirming this, with a childish grin Glorfindel quietly walked over to the advisors door and placed his card inside the empty box. He then headed back to the training fields, but made a mental note to make it back to his rooms in time to see Erestor’s reaction.
~*~*~*~*~*~
What a horrible day, he had not received a card when everyone else had many, not that he cared. He had had to juggle finances and even cut back on some of the less essential requirements in this months tally of costs. He had not received a card when everyone else had many, not that he cared. He still had plenty of work left on his desk to complete tomorrow that held similar problems that demanded quick solutions. And he had not received a card when everyone else had many, not that he cared.
He came to the door to his rooms, he turned the handle and took a step inside but paused. There was no harm in looking. With a sigh and little expectations he opened the lid to his box. An ecstatic smile spread across his lips before he could stop himself, he had a card. He handled it gently and admired the designs of hand drawn flowers and birds on the front before opening it. And then he did something he usually never did in public, he giggled. He coyly hid his mouth behind his hand as he re-read the small message.
Dearest Erestor,
A happy valentine to you lovely one.
From a great admirer of your rare but beautiful smiles.
XXX
After re-reading a few more times Erestor held it close to his chest and entered his rooms. Just around the corner and lurking in the shadow Glorfindel stood leaning upon the wall. A wide grin upon his lips and a flutter in his chest. He’d never heard Erestor giggle before.
~*~*~*~*~*~
The next day, though still faced with the same problems as before did not seem nearly as tedious. Every now and again he would re-read his card which he had taken to his office and stood upon his desk. He could no remember when he had last felt in this good of mood. All this was brought to a halt though as a very angry captain of the guard entered his office unannounced, he immediately knew what had angered the warrior so.
“Glorfindel I know what you are going to say but…”
“Oh do you?!”
“Aye, I can understand that you may find this upsetting but it is only temporary, I had to make certain cut backs and…”
“And you thought you would simply cut back and reject all requests for Imladris’s guard and defence?!” Glorfindel shouted angrily whilst waving the scroll that had the months tally and proceeding costs written upon it.
“Believe me I have thought it through, there are more pressing needs and this will only be for a short while…”
“What exactly are you doing with the funds that otherwise would have been spared for the guard? Buy yourself a new quill? Or did you add to your precious library?!”
“Now see here I have been seeing to the finances of Imladris for a many a year and I know what’s best for…”
“For yourself!”
“Glorfindel you are acting like an infant! Grow up, your guards will have their funds next month!”
“How dare you!” With that Glorfindel threw the scroll he had been waving around emphatically down on the advisors desk, accidentally knocking over Erestor’s card in the process.
Erestor had immediately glared at the irate warrior and picked up his precious card, setting it straight again. Glorfindel in his still angered state sneered and laughed humourlessly.
“Leave your little card where it is Erestor you have more important things to deal with rather than false sentimentalities.”
“Excuse me?”
“Its fake! I saw you yesterday moping over your pathetically empty box and I took pity on you, a mistake on my part.”
“Y-you lie it is from an admirer.” Erestor replied quietly after a pause, picking up his card as if to defend it.
Glorfindel snorted and then proceeded to recite what was written in the card in a sardonic and patronising voice.
“Dearest Erestor, a happy valentines to you lovely one, from a great admirer of your rare but beautiful smiles.” He glared at the advisor who was opening and closing his mouth in a desperate attempt to somehow prove the blond wrong. “I took pity on you, you were not going to get a card Erestor, who would give you one?”
Erestor could not think of anything to say, he opened his card as if in hope that what the warrior had just said was incorrect. Which he of course wasn’t, for he knew what the card said by heart, he must of read it a hundred times at least.
With his hands trembling in sheer humiliation and disappointment Erestor gently laid the card down flat on the desk to one side. He reached for the scroll Glorfindel had thrown on his desk moments ago and unrolled it as he sat down.
“I will do my best to see if I can make a few adjustment. If there is nothing else, get out.” The advisor uttered in a barely audible voice, completely avoiding the warriors stern gaze.
Glorfindel was surprised that he had actually gotten his way. He stood there for a few moments unsure of what to do. Finally with a curt nod he left the office.
~*~*~*~*~*~
The day had worn on, and Glorfindel had begun to feel more monstrous and terrible by the second. Had he ever been that cruel to anyone before? He didn’t think so. He had just been so mad that the guards share of costs had again been sacrificed for something else. His men looked to him for support, and he was fed up of every month disappointing them. But what he had done was inexcusable, How *could* he have been so heartless?! He remembered seeing how happy Erestor had been when receiving the card, the fact that he had actually taken it to his office proof of his appreciation over such a simple gesture that many including himself took for granted. And then he remembered how absolutely crushed he looked, how humiliated and betrayed.
Ai he had to apologise! Only the other day he had been musing on how secretly sweet Erestor was, how beautiful and innocent in his hopes for such simple things as a card on Valentines day. And now he had done this to him, he had to apologise, and let the advisor know that he did not think him pathetic, that he had meant what he had written in the card. Oh how hurtful he had been!
He had set off to the advisors office determined to reconcile and beg for forgiveness if need be. But when coming to the door which was slightly ajar he paused, quietly he looked through the crack and observed the one within.
Erestor sat at his desk, which in itself was nothing out of the ordinary. But what did make Glorfindel cover his mouth in disbelief and self loathing were the tears flowing down the advisors cheeks. Erestor was working on that same scroll, every now and then furiously swiping away his tears. Eventually his chin trembled to violently for him to keep up any self pretence and he let his quill fall from his trembling fingers. He used his long sleeves to wipe away his tears, continuously sniffing. Glorfindel had never hated himself more, especially when hearing Erestor hiccup and whimper quietly into his long sleeves that he used to cover his face.
He was unconscious of the tears that slid down his own cheeks, he felt such shame upon seeing his card resting upon a pile of scrunched up papers in a waste paper basket. Eventually Erestor again tried pointlessly to wipe away the ever flowing cascade of tears and picked up his quill again to continue writing. Though it was obvious his hand was not steady and he quickly ruined the parchment he was working upon. With another hiccup he again dropped his quill and covered his face as he ever so quietly sobbed into the sleeves of his robe.
He could take no more, he could not watch this kind natured and fractured elf’s pain, which he had caused. Silently he closed Erestor’s office door, not wanting anyone else to see Erestor in such a state. And walked away.
He had been in deep thought the entire day, he could think of no way to make this up to Erestor. He stood now outside the advisors chamber doors, with a final sigh he knocked. There was a long pause before Erestor finally answered the door. After a few moments of silence Erestor finally spoke, and with an air that had gained him his strict reputation.
“Yes?”
“Erestor, may I come in?”
“Why?”
“Because I need to speak with you, in private.”
Erestor seemed to think for a moment, but finally stepped aside, allowing Glorfindel entry. Glorfindel found himself oddly surprised at the nature of Erestor’s quarters, he did not know what it was he had been expecting but it wasn’t this. The room draped in dark colours, but not dark boding colours, warm crimson with dark hues. It was quite cosy and even quaint, he liked them.
“If this about the tally I have made small amends and allowances, though you will have to be satisfied with what I have given you, ‘tis all that could be spared. Though I know not why you felt compelled to seek me out in my own chambers.”
“That’s not why I’m here Erestor, though I do greatly appreciate what you have done.”
“Then why are you here?”
It was then that Glorfindel noticed Erestor’s attire, and smaller details of the room. Erestor wore naught but loose sleeping trousers with an equally baggy sleeveless vest, he looked quite adorable. And with another wave of guilt he noticed tissues, of a large quantity scrunched up on a bedside table, that had obviously been used up to dry tears he had caused. And then finally he noticed Erestor himself, his eyes were still wet and slightly rimmed with redness. At that moment Erestor seemed so small and helpless, he wanted nothing more than to scoop the petite elf up in his arms and kiss away all and any tears, caused by him or otherwise.
“I am here to apologise, nay not apologise, beg for your forgiveness. I was being a brat and was down right cruel to you. Erestor I am so very sorry for what I said.”
Erestor looked at the warrior with an unforgiving gaze. “Fine, if there is nothing else..”
“No Erestor truly I am sorry, I did not even mean what I said!”
“In the card or in my office?” Erestor whispered with a hitch in his voice. He bit his lip valiantly in an attempt to keep his composure in front of Glorfindel, probably the one person he would never want to crumble in front of. There was no hope in his voice, for he did not expect any happy solution, Glorfindel was merely seeking to ease his conscience.
Glorfindel reached forwards as if to take one of the advisors hands in his own but stopped as Erestor simply folded his arms.
“In the office, I….my men look to me for leadership, not only on the grounds but in representing them and their place in Imladris politics. I was angry when yet again we were passed over and denied…”
“Glorfindel I told you, there were more pressing needs, food supplies, *medical* supplies..”
“I know I know, I was simply to mad at that moment to think it through. Erestor, I should *never* of said the things I said, and I truly meant what I wrote in the card.”
Erestor cleared his throat and whilst looking away shrugged. “It matters not, ‘twas only a card I care little.”
“Erestor…I saw you.” Glorfindel admitted quietly. He knew from Erestor’s quick dart of the eyes that the advisor knew what he spoke of. “I came to your office to apologise earlier and….and I saw you, sitting at your desk..”
Erestor flushed with embarrassment and visibly blanched. “Who was you with?”
“What?”
“Well surely upon seeing the great beast of a councillor succumb to tears you must of wanted to share your accomplishment, tell me, were your men with you?”
“Erestor no!”
“Or, or your admirers, *real* ones? Were you laughing at me?!” Erestor felt ashamed as hot tears again fell down his cheeks, again.
“No Erestor, never, I would never laugh at you!”
“Then why would you do such a horrid thing to me?” He whispered in a strained voice.
“I…the card Erestor, was sincere. I meant every word. I think you truly lovely and your smile never fails to steal my breath. I even meant the three tiny kisses.” Feeling lower than dirt he slowly sank to his knees before Erestor and took one of the small quivering hands in his own larger ones. “I am truly sorry, I have never hated myself more. I hate myself for making you weep, I hate myself for not giving you the card sooner and without need of prompting. I hate myself for not signing my name. And mostly I hate myself for not telling you every day how beautiful, sweet, charming, adorable and witty I think you are.”
“Honestly?”
“I have never been more truthful.”
Erestor stared down at the pleading warrior before him, even if he had been hurt, he had no wish to see Glorfindel on his knees. He swiped at his eyes with the back of his free hand with a sigh.
“That is quite a bit of self loathing Glorfindel.” He said quietly, utterly confusing Glorfindel, was Erestor making a small joke?
“One would say so much self loathing is unhealthy. I have no wish to endanger your health, stand.” Erestor returned the hold on his hand and pulled a wary Glorfindel to his feet.
“You forgive me?”
“I have no choice, I suppose those big blue eyes gained you many a treat and much forgiveness when younger?”
“Did I mention I thought you witty?” Glorfindel asked with a chuckle and adoring smile.
“Aye, I believe you had. I forgive you Glorfindel.” He finished in a whisper.
“Thank you, thank you Erestor. I could not bare the thought of you hating me.”
“I couldn’t do that,” he looked Glorfindel in the eye hesitantly, “not even if I wanted to.”
They stood there simply looking at one another for a few moments before Erestor cleared his throat and picked up a near by pillow, toying with the trimming absentmindedly and nervously.
“I think perhaps you should make it up to me though.” He began quietly with a small quirk of his lips.
“I think that only fare.” Glorfindel said slowly, curious as to where the conversation was leading.
“Perhaps you would…do you, have plans this evening?” He asked looking away and nervously tucked his hear back behind his ear.
Glorfindel stood there and blinked rapidly for a few moments, was Erestor….but surely not. Though that was what it sounded like, it sounded as though Erestor was trying to ask him out for the evening. Unfortunately all these sudden and pleasantly surprising thoughts had rendered him temporarily speechless, giving Erestor the wrong idea.
He laughed awkwardly and turned around trying to hide his disappointment.
“I’m sorry, ‘tis Valentines day, of course you have plans this eve. Do not let me keep you.”
“No! no, no, no! I mean, did you want to…what were you about to ask me?”
“Well I was going to, ah, ask you if you would like to perhaps…dine with me?” He finished quietly and in a high hopeful note. Before again laughing at himself and shaking his head. “But you of course have plans, you must of received hundreds of invites today.”
“Well, yes I did but….Erestor I would love to spend the evening with you.” Glorfindel could feel his heart melt at the surprised and overly happy smile that spread upon Erestor’s lips. All to quickly the advisor cleared his throat and managed to hide his smile.
“Well, I…I’m not really dressed for it.”
“Oh! Oh right, well, I will let you change then.”
“And I will come to your doors when I am dressed?” Erestor asked, completely unsure of the protocol or of what to do in such situations.
“That sounds perfect.” Glorfindel said with an enthusiastic nod and bright smile. “I will be waiting then.” He made to leave, and with his hand on the door handle he turned back. “I look forward to your arrival Erestor.” With one more fleeting smile he quickly closed the door behind him, and near ran to his own quarters.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Erestor again nervously ran his hand over his hair before knocking, not remembering the last time he had been so nervous. Finally the door opened and all thoughts of possible clever or witty things to say left him. Glorfindel looked wonderful, he had changed also and now wore a loose pale blue shirt and plain leggings. Similar to what Erestor wore save for colour. For Erestor wore black leggings with a crimson more tight fitting shirt. They both took a moment to take n the others appearance.
“You look, wonderful Glorfindel.” Erestor admitted with a nervous smile.
“And you look, even more beautiful that usual.”
Erestor beamed and nervously pulled a basket from behind his back. “I know it is late, but the moon is bright and I thought perhaps, we could dine outside.”
“I would like that, my Erestor aren’t you the romantic type?” He teased, and laughed as Erestor blushed.
They had dined beneath the light of the moon, just a small meal made up of fruits and pastries. They had laughed and shared small secrets about each other, no deep dark ones worth a gasp or shout. But small intimate ones that were a pleasure to know about the other.
Eventually the night had come to an end, and Glorfindel had walked Erestor back to his rooms. There had been a moment of awkwardness when Glorfindel had kissed Erestor’s cheek, missing Erestor’s longing look for more. As he whispered his final goodnights he slowly backed away and turned to leave.
Erestor opened and closed his mouth in a desperate attempt to will his voice into action. Just as Glorfindel was turning the corner of the corridor he finally found his voice.
“I have wine.” He blurted out and closed his eyes with a cringe in hearing the slight squeak in his voice.
Though it had done the trick, Glorfindel had turned back around with an amused and curious expression. Erestor swallowed and tried to speak again in a calmer tone, gesturing over his shoulder at the door to his chamber.
“I…I have wine, if you are interested.” He offered quietly whilst gripping the handle to the basket he carried tightly. “To wash down the pastries?” He whispered with a small shrug and hesitant smile.
Glorfindel remained silent until he came to stand directly before Erestor.
“I think I could go for some wine.”
Erestor smiled and blindly reached for the door handle behind him, after locating said allusive handle he opened the door and bid Glorfindel to enter. He wrung his hands nervously, he had never had anyone in his rooms this late at night, and it was quite obviously far to late for a night cap or glass of wine. Non the less Erestor managed to set down the basket and pour two glasses of wine.
“Sit?”
Glorfindel had turned to the sitting room but paused when Erestor sat upon the small sofa in his bedroom. It proved to hard for him not to smile, Erestor in all his sweetness was unknowingly being so very obvious. He was trying so hard to act casual but Glorfindel could see the nervous flicker of eyes and tapping of fingers.
They had shared a few glasses of wine, and it had come to a certain point in the night where Glorfindel should either leave, or be invited to stay.
“Well, as much as I have enjoyed this night, I really should retire. It is late and we both have duties first thing in the morning.” Yet he did not move, he sat, waiting for Erestor to ask him to share one more glass or anything to keep him from leaving. But Erestor seemed to struggle with this. And eventually his insecurities won out.
“I suppose you are right….”
They both stood and again Glorfindel reached to kiss Erestor’s cheek. But as soon as Glorfindel was closer he spoke again, closing his eyes as if in disbelief of what he was saying or afraid of the answer.
“Or you could stay here.” He whispered. He opened his eyes when feeling a hand gently brush his cheek, and swallowed at seeing Glorfindel so close.
“Are you sure? You needn’t feel pressured to ask me to stay, for I intend to dine with you again tomorrow eve weather you knew it or not. And then there is walking through the gardens the evening after, or riding, dancing…. I would have this be more than one night…”
“I would like you to stay.”
“Then I will stay.”
Erestor watched Glorfindel’s lips as if in slow motion move closer to his own. He finally closed his eyes and allowed Glorfindel access to his mouth. Glorfindel was so good at this. When Erestor’s breathing was erratic the warriors was calm, even as he delved deeper into the sweet mouth.
Their lips broke for air only briefly and barely lost touch as Glorfindel pulled Erestor closer and held him in his arms. Erestor took the chance to quickly draw a heaving breath as he was again plundered. He was relieved to finally hear Glorfindel’s breath become heavier and more urgent as the speed and depth of the kiss increased.
Erestor could feel the grip in his hair tighten, and the hand at his waist stray lower to eagerly yet gently rub his behind, giving it a little e squeeze before trailing back up his back again. After panting into the open mouthed kiss Erestor was finally granted air as Glorfindel left his lips to taste the flesh of his neck. Making him sigh in pleasure.
His heart raced even faster if possible when feeling his crimson shirt being pulled free from where it had been neatly tucked into his leggings. When Glorfindel’s broad hands ghosted up the curve of his naked back it occurred to him that he had yet to move in the strong embrace. Uncertainly he let a hand bury into the softness that was Glorfindel’s hair so as to gently cradle the head that kissed his neck. Realising his shirt was being slid from his shoulders he mimicked Glorfindel’s actions and set about gently untying the clasps to he blue shirt the warrior wore.
Glorfindel paused and held Erestor around his now bare waist as he watched Erestor undress him. He hummed in appreciation as Erestor ran his hands over his broad chest. And smiled as the councillor uttered a quiet ‘wow’. He released his hold of Erestor only for a moment to let the shirt fall to the floor.
He allowed Erestor to pull him towards the bed, and watched as the advisor divested him of his leggings with trembling fingers. Now standing bare he returned the favour, and gazed over Erestor’s form.
“Are you sure? You can still say no.” He whispered huskily as he kissed Erestor’s bare shoulders.
Erestor did not answer, he pulled back the sheets and laid himself in the bed, waiting. Glorfindel wasted no time and laid himself upon the advisor. They rocked against each other, they kissed and groped. After kissing his way down Erestor’s body and back again he sweetly toyed with the advisors lips, smiling at the soft sighs he drew from them. He looked down to observe the effect he had had on Erestor.
His lips and nipples were red and swollen, still glistening from Glorfindel’s sweet tongue. The flat chest and stomach was covered in a sheen of sweat. His swollen length bobbed eagerly as hips unconsciously writhed in need.
“Erestor, do you have oil?”
“I…yes, in the draw.” He panted, sighing at the loss of Glorfindel’s bulk above him when the warrior moved to reach for the oil.
Glorfindel reached over to the bedside table and pulled open the draw, he immediately spotted the oil and reached for it. His hands halted however when he spotted something he’d thought discarded by Erestor.
“Erestor?”
“Hmm?” Spotting the card in Glorfindel’s hand he immediately cursed himself for forgetting where he had placed it. He blushed watching Glorfindel inspect the card to check that it was indeed the same one, and looked away with embarrassment when Glorfindel looked to him questionably.
“You kept it?”
“I…’tis stupid.” He mumbled and would not look Glorfindel directly in the eye.
Gently touching Erestor’s cheek Glorfindel silently beckoned for him to explain. He was saddened to see the sad expression he had seen upon the advisors fair face earlier that day firmly back in place.
“Why did you keep it?” He whispered gently.
“I, I have never been given anything as….touching or…I have just never been given anything before in a romantic nature. Be it fake or real.” He finished in a near whisper and turned his head away.
“You must think me quite pathetic.” Erestor said with a humourless laugh, wishing he could simply hide from Glorfindel at that moment.
Glorfindel gently turned his head back to face him, wearing a serious yet pleading expression.
“ Never pathetic.” He stated firmly. “It was, and is real Erestor. I meant every word.” He opened the card and stood it upon the dresser, taking the oil again he laid beside Erestor.
“Would you like me to put this back?” There was no disappointment, or expectation in his voice, he simply pulled Erestor close and gave him the choice of making love, or holding each other for the night. Either way he would not leave, but would understand if Erestor no longer wished to continue.
“No, do not put it back.”
Glorfindel smiled sweetly and kissed Erestor slowly. When pulling away abruptly he grinned when Erestor whimpered in annoyance.
“Erestor?”
“Yes?”
“Be my valentine?”
He was rewarded with a bashful smile and a devastatingly hungry kiss.
~*~*~*~*~*~
He was slow, in, and out, in, and out.
Glorfindel lay behind Erestor on his side, letting one of his hands continuously stroke up and down Erestor’s entire body as he thrust slowly in and out of his body. Whilst his other held Erestor’s hand, holding the advisor in a safe embrace as if to keep him from falling, their fingers entwined and clenching tightly around each others. His lips were upon the pale and flawless skin always. Kissing his shoulder, arm, the tip of his ear and always suckling the crook of Erestor’s neck, where the softest and most tender of flesh lay. Leaving passion marls in his wake.
Every so often Erestor would crane his neck around for a kiss, though they could not hold it for long, the need for air and to push and be filled harder pulled their tongues away from the others.
“You feel…so good…in me..” Erestor cried out helplessly and with little breath.
“It feels good to….to be inside of you…you’re so warm, so tight…” Glorfindel replied huskily into Erestor’s ear, making the councillor groan in pleasure.
Erestor threw his head back and cried allowed when Glorfindel took Erestor’s thigh in hand and pushed his leg so as his knee was nearly pressed to his chest. Only to thrust as deeply as possible, hitting Erestor at his core. Erestor moaned his pleasures for Glorfindel, only serving to excite the warrior further who quickened his pace and made his thrusts all the more forceful. Panting, grunting and moaning into Erestor’s ear through out it all.
Blindly he threw his hand back to reach for anything of Glorfindel to hold onto, squeezing the hand that held his tightly with his other as Glorfindel thrust harder and faster into his body. He was completely undone and chanted Glorfindel’s name as the blond released the hold on his thigh to stroke his length in synchronism with his thrusts.
When he came he came with a scream. He was rocked a few more times before Glorfindel came with a deep moan of his name. His eyes were still closed even as Glorfindel’s seed filled him. When he opened his eyes it was to the feel of soft kisses being pressed to his neck, to the sound of whispered sweet endearments in his ear. And the first thing he saw, were the beautiful sketches of flowers and birds on his very first valentines card.
“Happy Valentines Erestor.”
The end.

The end.
