"Oh,why do I always get stuck with these damned papers."Erestor grumbled to himself,while trying to sort out couple of the papers,which were located on his work desk.
"I will kill Glorfindel"He grumbled again in unelflike manner,that would even shame the dwarf.Why did he always say yes to people,and lived to regret it later.These blasted papers were Glorfindel's responsibility,but somehow they finished on Erestor's desk,accompanied with extreme begging and pleading coming from Glorfindel's mouth.
So tonight while Erestor was stuck fighting a war with these damned documents,with the company of his damp study and the flickering candle,Glorfindel was enjoying the soft bed with his lover Valandil. He needed to keep his mind off the bed and Glorfindel,if he wanted to make through this night.Rest tonight was not the option,and these documents won't get done by themselves.If he only had some help,and someone to keep him a company through this lonely night.But everyone was in the land of the dreams,and Erestor wished that he was there too.
"You work to hard this night,mellon-nin'."soft voice startled Erestor and pulled him over from his musings.The figure of his best friend was standing on a door frame,and Erestor gave him a small smile.
"Huor,you startled me.Come in."Still with a smile on his face,Erestor directed Huor towards the chair.Hour sat down,and placed a long questioning stare upon his friend.
"I see you still do Glorfindel's work for him.Let me help you with these.I cannot find peace in a sleep tonight."Huor said,taking some papers, located on a large pile.
"Thank you Huor."Erestor smiled relieved that his wish was fulfilled,and that he will have some help tonight.These documents were due to Lord Elrond's desk by the early mornings light,and he didn't want to disobey any orders.
"So tell me old friend,why did you accept these documents tonight.What kind of excuse did your lover make this time?"Huor said teasingly with a huge grin on his face.
"Shhh...Huor,you know perfectly well that he is not my lover, why do you tease me so.The excuse was....well he told me that he was tired from border patrol."Erestor said blushing like an elfling.
"Oh,my friend but I know you would like to have him as your lover.Why deny it."Huor said chuckling and placed a hand on his friends shoulder. "Can we not talk about this now.I have a lot to do this night,so please leave that subject alone."Erestor said with a harsh voice,which was not meant intentionally,to his friend.
"No we need to talk about this now.Why won't you tell him how you feel?All this hiding beneath your face of indifference is destroying your heart and soul.You need to tell him."Huor said those words seriously,praying to Valar that his friend would stop being so stubborn.
"I cannot tell him,you know that.I cannot compare myself with any of his lovers.They are all fair and beautiful beyond any comprehension.I just don't have anything to offer to him."Erestor said sadly while lowering his head,and fighting unshed tears in his eyes.
"Erestor please look at me,mellon-nin'.You posses special beauty that can conquer many hearts.Don't ever think otherwise.You are beautiful,and your heart is a treasure.Any elf would be lucky to have you."Huor smiled while he pated his friends shoulder.
"Yes any elf except one.I already refused couple of the offers,because I cannot see myself with anybody else.Huor...Glorfindel already has a Valandil to warm his bed.I will never have that privilege.Never."Erestor said those hurting words, avoiding Huor's gaze.
"Hmmm...Valandil.That spoiled brat of an Lorien elf.Yes he is fair looking for an brainless elfling,but he won't last to long beside Glorfindel's place.Trust me on this when I say it,Erestor.Valandil will become a history soon,my friend.Very soon."Huor grinned,while his hand rested on a cup of the wine.
"What are you talking about?What exactly do you know about their relationship"Erestor questioned Huor with a sound of a hope in his voice.
"Well let's just say that Glorfindel is not the only one warming Valandil's bed?Do you get my hint?"Huor said amusingly winking at his friend. "Are you sure about this?"
"Yes Erestor.I am sure.I caught him yesterday in Elladan's room.He and Elladan were half naked,with no doubt what they were about to do.So see my friend,you've got a chance to be in Glorfindel's life."Huor smiled at Erestor and walked towards the fire place,to put some wood on the dieing fire.
"I realy don't believe this.Glorfindel will be heartbroken when he finds out.He loves Valandil so much.Please Huor keep that what you saw yesterday a secret.Don't let him find out"Erestor begged him with pleadingly voice.
"Of course my friend I will be quiet.But it's just a matter of time until Glorfindel figures it out.Erestor you need to be with him and be his comfort in the time of the coming need."
"Huor,I will be there for him,but first I need to talk to Valandil.He will not break Glorfindel's heart,I swear it.Glorfindel is the only person that matters most to me in this life.I cannot let Valandil hurt him that way,I cannot."Erestor said furiously while clenching his fists.
"I don't think Valandil will listen to your words.Only thing you need to do,as I said before, is to be there for Glorfindel when it happens.Don't worry about Glorfindel's heart.It is strong and no Lorien brat can destroy it."Huor said those words with thoughtfulness on his face.
"I hope you are right mellon-nin'"Erestor thought while returning to his pile of papers,which will keep him and his friend occupied this night. They got through the pile of the papers before even Sun woke up on the sky.Saying goodbye to Huor,and leaving his study,he walked towards the Lord Elrond's chambers.He gave the papers to his Lord,and excusing himself he left in the direction of his chamber.He needed to refresh himself first, before he went searching for Valandil this morning.He felt that this will be very tiresome and long day.Yes in his mind he knew that.

"I can't believe you did that.What kind of madness came over you ,my brother.Glorfindel loves him, and you two must stop this before any of you gets hurt.Where is your pride Elladan". Elrohir yelled at his brother not believing that this was happening indeed.How could his brother do something like this.Elrohir was just coming from library this morning, when he encountered his brother and Valandil in a rather passionate kiss.It broke his heart in two,seeing that sight,and also worry about Glorfindel came to his troubled mind.
"It's none of your concern how I live my life,and I don't care if Glorfindel loves Valandil.I love him too.Please understand me,brother.I don't do this out of hate towards Glorfindel,I do this because of love."Elladan pleaded for his brother to understand,but it doesn't seem likely that he will.
"I can not understand your deeds,because ,this what you do with Valandil, is called a deceit.Valandil does not care about you brother.He is using you just like he uses Glorfindel,and he will break your heart sooner or later.Please come to your senses brother,before you get hurt."Elrohir said with a softer voice than before,hoping his brother will see some light in this dark tunnel. "Elrohir,I will not give him up.I don't care if everybody hates me,I had made my decision.Everybody is wrong about Valandil.He is most the caring person that I have ever met,and I think that he loves me back. I have to go,Elrohir.I don't have a time for your bitter accusations,and please don't talk to me anymore.I see that you don't have any compassion for your own brother." With these harsh words Elladan left the room,not wanting to hear his brothers reply.
"But Elladan..."Elrohir stopped himself in the middle of the sentence because his brother was already gone,and the bitter tears escaped his eyes.He knew he will never get through Elladan's mind,because stubbornness was common trait in his family.What could he do?Elladan was already in love with someone else,and he knew that his heart will not take this. He wished there was a way to admit his feelings to his brother,but he was so affraid of Elladan's rejection and disgust that would be directed towards him.What could he do to stop his brothers doom?What?
First he needed to talk to his father,that was for sure.Father will know what to do.As always Elrohir turned to him in these hard times,and asked him for some advice. Erasing the tears from his eyes,Elrohir left the room searching for any kind of hope.

"Hello Elrohir.How fare you this afternoon?"Elrond smiled at hin,whn,while he deposited the book that he was reading on the near table.
"Ada,may I have a moment of your time please.I need to talk to you.The matter is rather urgent for me."Elrohir said while taking a seat on the large chair ,which was located in his fathers study. "Of course,my son.Please tell me what is troubling you."Elrond said with concerned voice while taking a seat next to his son.
"Ada...it's about.... Elladan"Elrohir hesitated not sure how to say all this to his father .
"Tell me.What kind of trouble did he get in this time."Elrond said jokingly,but seeing the ous ous face of his son,he suppresed it down.
"Ada,Elladan is involved with Valandil,and I think they are lovers.I caught them this morning kissing under the statue of Elbereth,and I confronted him about it,this morning.He said he loves Valandil and that he doesn't care if Glorfindel gets hurt in process."Elrohir said it while the new wave of tears washed his eyes.
"What..."Elrond stoped not finishing a sentence with a shocked expression on his face. "Father,What am I to do?I know that Valandil doesn't love him.He is just using him,and I fear that he will break Elladan's heart in the end."Elrohir's tears were now flowing freely on his face,because the fear that he might loose his brother was to much for him in this moment.He knew couple of elves that had died from the broken heart,praying to Valar that kind of fate won't reach his brother.
"Shhh..Elrohir,calm yourself.I need to talk to your brother,when I find him today.Do you have any idea where he might be."
"No.I don't know where he might be .He told me,right before he left my room,that he doesn't want to speak to me ever again.Please Ada,make him understand that I deeply care for his wellbeing.He is my brother,and I love him dearly."Elrohir softly said while he placed the hands on his face.
"Elrohir please stay here,and collect yourself.I must go find your brother,and have a small talk with him.Don't worry,my son.Everything will be all right.I promise you that."Elrond pated his sons shoulder and placed a kiss on his forehead.With that he left the study on search for his oldest son.
