The Diamond Dragon Lady

Ok, this fic was my first ever attempt at fanfic, so it isn't quite as I had hoped, but I enjoyed writing it and I hope you enjoy reading it.
The references to J. R. R. Tolkien's characters are only for this fiction, I am not making any money from this, it was simply a fan writing for her own and possibly others enjoymment. If there are any complaints or comments to be made, please contact me here and I will be happy to discuss it, same goes for the AD&D references, I am an avid pr anr and merely wished to use my character as I knew hell. ll.

The Diamond Dragon Lady

Chapter 1

As he walked through his beloved Mirkwood, Legolas Greenleaf, son of Thranduil and Prince of the forest, taking in all the familiar smells and sounds suddenly turned and he saw something he had never seen before. Right where he had just been walking, the trees began to ripple; it was as if he was looking in a reflection in water that had been disturbed. A giant demon burst forth, it was at least 20 feet tall and it resembled a Balrog of Mth, th, but it had no wings and its hands ended in crab’s claws, although Legolas did not know this as he had never seen one. His hands with all his elven speed fitted an arrow to his bow but before he could even loose it, the creature fell to the ground, its gruesome face only inches from him.

He looked up in astonishment and he saw a beautiful elvish girl standing there, she had been blocked from view by the demon, and he watched her in amazement as she placed her long sword, he saw at once it was a Frost brand, into a bracelet on her wrist where it vanished from view. He looked up at her face. It was the loveliest he had ever seen. Her skin was the colour of lilies and her hair was ice-white, when she turned he saw a blue sheen to it.

“Do not fear, young sir, the Magragorn is dead” she said in sweet tones, lower than usual for a woman, but beautiful all the same. She walked right up to him and he was stunned at her boldness. A beautiful horse followed her, covered in barding armour.

“Who are you, young maiden, may I ask?” he said feeling a slight tremble in his stomach he had only felt once before, but this was at the sight of the Elven Princess Arwen, said to be the most beautiful of all beings on Middle-Earth. He also noticed, suddenly that she wore very little clothing, her upper body only bore a brassiere design that did not cover her fully and she had a bikini style panties, but he saw they were made of mithril armour. With a baldric of blue diamonds over her shoulder. He almost blushed at the sight. As she wiped a small patch of dirt from the clothing after the battle she said

“My name is Lady Alethea Lanata, I am a Noble of Springfield and Servant of the King. May I ask your name?” She looked at him intently, he was not used to this, elvish women were seldom meek but this was so unusual, especially due to his rank.

“I am Legolas, Son of Thranduil, and Prince of the Woodland Realm of Mirkwood, where we are now. I am sorry but I have never heard of Springfield and we have no King as such in this Middle-Earth.”

“Ah, I must have gone through a rift.” As she said this, she turned and saw that the “rippling” had stopped. “I fear I cannot get back. I need to find a mage, do you have magic in this Middle-Earth of yours, and I must get back to my lands for my sister must have been left in the battle and my great-great- grandfather is sick.”

None of this made sense to Legolas, but he replied

“We do have magic here, but I am afraid the truest of mages’ my friend Gandalf is not here, he is in Gondor, away to the South, I do not know when he will return. Is there another way in which I can help?”

She looked rather irritated and he wondered why.

“If I cannot get back, my sister may be in grave danger, she is not a warrior as I am. I need to be there to protect her, but if I cannot get back, I will take any help I can get on a strange world.”

He took her hand, and was alarmed that she was icy cold to the touch, he drew his hand back.

“Oh, yes, I am bonded to my sword, it is a Frost brand, as you may have seen, and I am now colder in body and I do not like the warmth. It does not make my heart cold though.” She said this so reassuringly that he once again took her hand and said

“I pledge to help you in your predicament; I hope to be of any assistance. I will take you to my father Thranduil, he will be able to help & shelter you.”

She smiled at him with a brilliant white smile and he noticed for the first time the beautiful diamonds she was wearing and that she had a tattoo of a dragon encrusted with diamonds on her hip that moved by itself and curled its tail around her bikini.
