Title: Read to me
Author: Krit
Email: kritblack1@yahoo.ca
Website: www.mypaddedcell.net
Pairing: Erestor/Glorfindel
Rating: Uh…. PG-13
Warnings: Slash, AU, sappy/fluffy plessless drabble, PWP.
Disclaimer: Well, obviously they belong to Tolkien/ Tolkiens Estate as I am not original enough for my own characters (else I would be writing/publishing novels by now) so I use those belonging to other people. Don’t own, don’t profit and don’t have permission to play with – but I’m a rebel and can’t control myself.
Notes: All mistakes are mine and mine alone; I cling to them devotedly because for some reason I get a kick out of re-reading my work and laughing at my own stupidity *shrugs*.
Summary: Glorfindel needs help reading, Erestor just happens to be nominated as narrator.
**Okay, so apparently my website has a stats page, and I found out that I’ve had over 300 hits to it, so I wrote a little drably bit – sorry it’s not NC-17 (I suspect someone slapped a chastity belt on my muse *cries*) as a kind of thanks for stopping by. So yes, just pure fluff (well mostly pure *grins*) Dedicated to all the readers who are probably as addicted to Erestor and Glorfindel as I am and wander by in hopes of updates… enjoy
Read To Me
“Read to me?”
“I beg your pardon?”
Glorfindel smiled sadly at the dark haired elf seated behind the main desk that was situated in the center of the large study and leaned even more pitifully against the frame of the door, holding both hands up in front of himself to draw attention to their firmly bandaged state.
“Read to me?”
“Glorfindel, if I recall correctly you are capable of reading to yourself.”
“I cannot turn the pages like this.”
“And why would you think I’d volunteer to turn pages for you?”
“Considering you are responsible for breaking one of my wrists and badly spraining the other, one would think it only fair that you entertain me for at least a short period.”
Glorfindel refrained from smirking, barely, at the light flush that stole guilty up Erestors neck to tinge his cheeks a delectable shade of pink. Best not to give the game away or overdo it to much least his quarry start to become suspicious, and a suspicious Erestor would be slightly counter productive to his plans, and oh what plans they were.
Glorfindel jerk, pulled from his musings by the scraping of a chair against stone as Erestor stood from his desk. Wincing he gave Erestor a pointed look and received an evasive shrug as a response. Deciding he didn’t want to start yet another argument about the advantage of placing a rug under the wooden chair to prevent that horrid scraping noise which continually grated on his nerves, Glorfindel wisely kept his mouth shut, not wanting to possibly alienate his prospective narrator.
Watching Erestor move to the plush wingback chairs gathered around the hearth Glorfindel forced a puzzled expression to flitter across his face, attempting to mimic Elrond by furrowing his brows together.
“What are you doing?”
“Getting comfortable.” An upward quirking of the lips. “You did ask that I read to you.”
“Oh.” Glorfindel shifted his weight in an imitation of fidgeting and scuffed his foot lightly against the stone, mentally chiding himself with the reminder to not get carried away. “Well you see… I… uh…”
“Spit it out Glorfindel.”
“I was hoping you would read to me in bed.”
“In bed?!”
Glorfindel blink, realizing exactly how his request had sounded and ducked his head.
“Not like that. I just thought it would be more comfortable. That way I could prop my hands up on a pillow, they do throb something awful.”
Ah ha! Erestor went from looking scandalized to guilty in an instant. “Of course. Did you have something in particular you wanted to read or…”
“I do actually, it’s in my room.”
Glorfindel remained in the door with a smile on his face as Erestor rose gracefully from his chair and moved to join him. He watched avidly as the material of Erestors black robe bunched slightly around his thighs and stomach as he leaned forward and stood, before the weight of the heavy fabric pulled it downwards to smooth out and drift about the advisors lean form. Blue eyes became riveted to Erestors legs as the robe stretched over knee and thigh, teasing with the outline of the form hidden beneath, before flowing back momentarily, until the identical action was repeated with the other leg.
“Glorfindel?”
Dragging his gaze away from Erestors legs he met an inquisitive look.
“Your robe is green.”
Silence. A slight tilting of a head that cause the silky black locks that flowed freely down his back to slide sideways and brush his ear and jaw bone. A blink.
“I thought it was black.”
“Ah.”
“Shall we?”
“Certainly.”
Turning about, mentally chastising himself for his distraction, with Erestors legs of all things, he began to walk towards his chambers with Erestor directly behind him, finding himself inordinately please that he had managed to not walk into the door frame on his way out.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Erestor watched Glorfindel crawl languidly onto the bed, settling comfortably against two large pillows propped up against the headboard while a third pillow was settled in his lap and the two bandaged hands resting on top, reminding him again that he was the cause of the blondes current state of pain. Feeling guilty about how he had yelled at Glorfindel earlier that morning while the blonde was train with his warriors, causing the sudden moment of interruption by Erestor to disturb his concentration and the tackling move going awry, resulting in two injured wrists for Glorfindel and a healthy dose of guilt for Erestor.
Forcing the thoughts from his mind, after all the past was the past, Erestor instead focused on his companion, grinning at Glorfindels almost childlike excitement. Glancing about the room he failed to locate a chair, and asked where he was expected to sit.
Glorfindel blinked and looked about the room before biting the corner of his bottom lip and gesturing to the other side of the bed.
“I guess I did not think this through properly, I didn’t consider you might need a chair.” Liar! His conscience screamed at him but Glorfindel ruthlessly smothered it and nodded his head towards the side table and the small red book that lay inconspicuously atop it.
Glorfindel directed his gaze to hip, op, or more precisely the pillow on his lap, hoping to hide the guilty look that was most assuredly lurking in his eyes. Feeling the mattress dip beside him he peeked out from his lashes to see Erestor adjusting his robes about his legs, back to those damn legs again, and settle against the headboard, the little book in his hands. Glorfindel swallowed at the appearance of a legging clad calf as the robe rode up slightly before clearing his throat.
“The page I left off at is marked, the first paragraph on the right I believe.”
Erestor smiled indulgently, reminded of when he used to read to the twins before they would fall asleep and found the similarities between this situation and that surprisingly similar. Opening the book to the page indicated he began to read out loud.
“His hand ghosted across the smooth, flat pale chest, pausing to tweak a nipple before the soft heated mouth followed and began to lick…”
Erestor stopped abruptly as the words sunk in, and he snapped the book closedh anh an audible thump. So much for similarities.
“Why’d you stop?”
Erestor turned disbelieving eyes to the blond seated beside him with a look of pure innocence. “I did not agree to read this… this… smut!”
Glorfindel shook his head and made a disappointed ‘tut tut’. “You didn’t specify what you would or would not read Erestor.”
Erestor opened his mouth to protest but was cut off with a quietly uttered ‘please’. With a large amount of grumbling he leaned back again. Quickly glancing towards the door to make sure he had shut it, not wanting to be over heard, he once again opened the book and began to read, peeking sideways at Glorfindel as the blond rested with his eyes closed.
Two pages and much smut later Erestors voice had taken on a gravelly, breathless quality and Glorfindel shifted slightly, reaching out one hand towards his bed partner and gently placed it on Erestors upper leg. Erestor froze, stopping mid-word but not removing his eyes from the lettering on the page before him. He sucked his breath in quickly as the hand upon his thigh began to rub tenderly against the fabric of his robe and subsequently the flesh beneath it. Glancing down at his lap Erestor was rather shocked to find the pale smooth fingers inching towards his groin… unbandaged fingers at that.
“Glorfindel…” A pause as those naughty fingers found what they were looking for. “Your wrists…”
More shifting before a second unbandaged hand pulled the book from his slack grip and lust darkened blue eyes met his own dark brown. The book was tossed aside and that hand slipped over his shoulder to cup the back of his neck and rub against the nape, slowly drawing him forward.
“I lied.” The two words were whispered before soft warm lips crushed against his, and warm flexible softness tried to steal his tongue from his mouth. Exerting an incredible amount of will power Erestor pulled back and placed his own hands on Glorfindels broad shoulders to hold him at bay.
“You… lied..?
“Mmmhmm.” A nibble on his jaw distracted him for a moment longer before he reigned in his swiftly scattering thoughts to articulate one word.
“Why?”
“Why? Because I’ve been trying to seduce you for months upon months upon… a few years actually. And this is my last ditch desperate attempt to succeed.”
Silence as blue eyes regarded brown. “The question now is… will I succeed?”
In answer Erestor bunched Glorfindels tunic in his hands and yanked the blond forward into his to hto heatedly devour his mouth. ‘Apparently so’ was the last coherent thought Glorfindel had for quite some time.
The End..?
