Since then I've been informed by a respected author with knowledge of elvish that mela is also wrong, but I should use Sindarin since these elves do not speak Quenya (which I knew) So, although melme IS the noun for love in Quenya I have changed it to Sindarin so as to avoid further confusion. Hope everyone is happy now (although I am not because I thought Melme was more poetic)
Somewhere deep in the forest, we steal a short moment. Hands entwined, lips locked, and drops of sadness falling from our eyes. We’ve been here before, but it is never enough, is it meleth?
Days empty with longing, nights full of passion, hearts dancing with joy and screaming with sorrow. They would never understand us, would they meleth?
Hurried caresses, racing pulses, and sudden flights. I would love you openly, but our love is forbidden, so we must hide.
Run away, meleth, while it is dark. The sun would bring us shame; and no one would forgive the warmth of your lips, the lust in your eyes, or the sweetness of you cries when I find my pleasure inside you.
Run away, meleth. For now, we must part; but when the envious sun sets, I will love you again.
