They held a burial for you yesterday.
The choir sang for you, but the most beautiful of their voices was gone. And the second bests fell flat.
You were dropped into the dirt with a whispered prayer. Do you know how hard people cried for you? Do you realize how much you are missed? I hope you do, because the pain is unbearable.
I knew the sweet and wonderful person you were. The smile that never left your face. The twinkle that never dropped from your eyes. The laughter that never ended.
Now, the laughter has stopped.
But today, today I do not feel bad. The sun is shining.
I am used to reading stories with descriptions of how people hated the sun for shining it’s golden rays on such a depressing day. That’s bull.
