Redemption
Prologue
"So, what exactly is it that you want Bloom? What do you feel you need?"
Two simple questions, and yet they were the hardest to answer in the young actor’s life.
Two men sat in a small room that seemed to be much too warm as perspiration dotted and trickled down olive toned skin. A trembling hand raked through shoulder length, raven hair. The thick tendrils fell loosely back around his broad shoulders, as chocolate brown eyes peered warily through long, raven lashes to meet the answer seeker's cool blue stare. Orlando was a picture of pure beauty not only on the outside, but on the inside as well. But none of that seemed to matter anymore. He was broken, incapable of being fixed. Or at least that's what he kept telling himself.
"What do I want? What…do I need?" The words were soft as they left his mouth, as bitter as they seemed; his British accent laced around each word beautifully.
His body shook as he raised his chin, projecting his well-defined jaw line. This motion caused the sweat glistening on his furrowed brow to make lazy paths down the sides of his face, tracing over the curves of his high, proud cheekbones. A quivering sigh escaped his bow shaped lips - that were pleasantly surrounded by wisps of dark hair forming a goatee - as he pressed his back hard against the back of the wooden chair he sat in.
"What do I want," he repeated again, anger seeping through his words as a fire ignited in his dark orbs turning them nearly as black as his hair. He narrowed his eyes as he clenched his jaw painfully.
"Redemption," he whispered.
