Of Love and Sacrifices

Orlando stayed for a week in the hospital. Normally, the doctor would release his patients after three days stay in the hospital but Orlando did not have an easy pregnancy. He was weaker than he should have been. His family and Viggo were thankful that at least, the baby is healthy. But in Orlando’s case, the young man could not even manage to stand without feeling dizzy for some days. Viggo felt very guilty. His husband should have been stronger than this. He was the main source of anxiety and stress to Orlando. So to make up for the lost time, he showered his recovering husband with all his attention. He never left his side. He even stopped reporting in the office. He was just thankful enough that Sean was there to do all his work.

“ Baby, please… you have to eat some more…” Viggo pleaded as he tried to feed his husband with fruits.

“I’m so full…I want to go home…” Orlando protested.

“The doctor won’t be happy if he sees you still weak… you have to eat more if you want to go home…Just a little more… for me and for Little Micky… please?... The doctor would not allow you to carry our son if he would see that you are not strong enough…” Viggo tried to convince Orlando some more. Both of them chose Michael Carl as the name of their baby. Michael was the name of Viggo’s father while Charles was the name of Orlando’s father.

“Okay… but only a little more…” Orlando finally gave in. He wanted to be with his son.

“I promise…” Viggo said as he gave Orlando some fruits.

Viggo was overjoyed. He just can’t help but feel so happy in having his husband back. He wanted to be at Orlando’s side at all times. He can’t imagine himself being anywhere else. He even forgot all about Simon. So he was surprised to see Simon waiting near his car in the hospital that afternoon.

“Viggo!” Simon hugged him in the back. He held Viggo’s waist. “I.. I miss you so much…”

“Simon?!... “ Viggo removed Simon’s hands from his waist.

“Viggo… darling…. I know you want me… I know you need me…”

“Stop this, Simon!” Viggo said as he forcefully pulled Viggo away from him.

“Viggo….”

“ We’re over! Not this time… You can find someone else who will love you… but… please, try to accept that it’s never going to be me… what we had… it was not love… My family means the world to me…”

“No… Viggo… That’s not true… You still need me… I know….”

“No, Simon… I would never again hurt my husband… I would never again commit the same mistakes in the past…. He accepted me after what I’ve done… and I could never break his trust again…Please…everything is over between the two of us…”

“No… NO!....Viggo please… I’m begging you! Don’t leave me… Please!.... I can’t live without you! If… If you’re coming back to him because you have a son…. We can… we can still have your son, right? I will love him like my own! We can fight for custody!”

“No! I did not just come back to Orlando because of my son! I came back because I love him so much!”

“B- but… but he’s sullied! He’s damaged! He can never make you happy…. You can never do things with him! Viggo please…. please I’ll do anything! We can have sex all you want! I’ve researched on other positions… we can try it! I will make you happy!”

“Simon… when will you ever understand that it’s not just about sex?.... I love my husband because I just do! I wanted to wake up seeing his face every morning… and sleep with him in my side at night…. That’s all I wanted…So, stop following me around. As I’ve said, everything is over between us.” Viggo said before walking away from Simon.

Simon just stood there crying helplessly.

After several more days, Viggo was able to take his family home. Orlando agreed to go home with him. And Viggo could not just hide his happiness. Viggo hired a private nurse to look after their baby. He does not want his husband to be troubled with taking good care of their son. Orlando also needed rest.

Viggo could not help but pity his husband as Orlando tried to breastfeed their son for the first time.. It was the doctor’s strict advice that as much as possible, Orlando would feed the baby through his milk. He was spared to do it in the hospital because he was still very weak. But now that it he is stronger, he should start breastfeeding.

Orlando was biting his lips to control himself from screaming as Little Micky sucked hungrily in his father’s nipples. Viggo cuddled his husband and whispered sweet words to him just to ease the pain.

“Baby, if it’s too painful for you, we can just feed Micky with bottled milk…”

“It’s okay… I… I have to do this… He needs me… I… I’ll get used to this…” Orlando answered.

“Viggo just held his husband close as Orlando continued to feed the baby.

It has been a month and a half since Orlando gave birth. And that day, Viggo wanted to bring his family to a picnic. But he still had to finish something in the office. So he decided to bring his husband and child at the office and let them wait for him there

Sean could not hide his admiration upon seeing Orlando for the first time in few weeks. The younger man was as beautiful as ever. His body was also back in shape. No one would even dare think that the younger man just gave birth a couple of weeks ago. He can also see the glow in his aura. Orlando is really happy now.

Orlando was carrying the baby and was sitting on the couch when Sean entered Viggo’s office to give him some papers. Sean can’t help but feel envious with Viggo. How he wished that this family was his. Viggo was not there.

“Shh… Micky… stop crying… daddy’s going to be here soon… You must be hungry….” Orlando opened the buttons of his shirt to let the baby suck in his nipples. He was too focused on feeding the baby that he did not notice Sean’s lustful gaze at his naked chest.

After a while, Orlando saw Sean.

“Sean! I’m so happy to see you!” Orlando shouted. Seeing that the baby is already asleep, Orlando covered his chest.

Sean approached Orlando and the baby… “Me, too… oh… isn’t little Micky so cute…”

“Sean… I.. can you be his godfather? Please?” Orlando asked Sean with pleading eyes.

“Of course… I will even be a bit hurt if you didn’t ask me to.” Sean smiled. ‘I can even be his father, if you only ask me to…’ He thought. Sean sat next to Orlando. Their bodies were very near each other. Sean pretended to be looking at the baby but in fact, he was enjoying the scent of the younger man. ‘Oh Orlando… I… can’t stop thinking about you…’


“Sean…”

Sean was startled in his thoughts. He immediately stood up to face Viggo. “Vig…here are the papers that you needed signing. I… I have to go…” Sean placed the papers in Viggo’s desk and went out.

Viggo took the baby from Orlando. “Let’s get going baby…”

“Vig, where are you taking us?” Orlando asked with anticipation. Viggo did not tell him where they will be heading.

“It’s my surprise…”

After some time, Viggo parked his car in one of the most expensive restaurants in town. He led his husband inside and everything was already prepared. The food was ready, and there was also some sweet music playing.

It was a romantic dinner. The couple happily ate. After dinner, Orlando was surprised when a cake was brought before them.

“Baby… you might wonder why I brought you here tonight…” Viggo said as he held Orlando’s hand.

“Vig?” Orlando did not expect this.

“You could have forgotten already but six years ago… I met somebody who changed my life… somebody who gave me a reason to continue living… when I thought I would never live and love again, and angel fell into my arms….”

Orlando’s eyes were already filled with tears.

“I would never forget that day… the day when I met the man who showed me how beautiful it is to live. I have hurt that man so much… but he never gave up on us… after what I did… still accepted me… and even gave me a beautiful son. Orlando… my love… I know I’ve said this before…. But I just wanted to say this over and over again…. I love you so much no matter what… and I thank you for loving me despite all the things I did in the past… I will never give up until I earn your full trust in me again….”

“I… I love you, too… Vig…” Orlando replied.

“Please... let us start all over again… Just you and me… and Little Micky… I would die if I lose any of you…” Viggo said as he tenderly kissed his husband’s hand.

The family went home happily after that. They were so engrossed with each other that they were not able to notice that Simon followed them from the office and saw the whole incident. He was furious with what he saw. It could have been him… with Viggo… the baby could have been their child… It should not be Orlando. Viggo is his. Only his. If Orlando isn’t around, Viggo could still love him. Orlando is not worth Viggo’s love. He is dirty… he is used! How could Viggo not see it?! Is he that blind?! Maybe Viggo needs some reminding.

“Yeah… that’s right… I guess that is what Viggo needs to realize that Orlando is damaged! And I will do something about it! Orlando will have to learn his place! He does not have any right to mess with what is mine! Viggo is mine! He will only be mine!” Simon said to himself as he took his phone and dialed a number.


That night, Viggo lied down next to his husband after placing a pillow between them as he usually does every night. Surprisingly, he is slowly getting used to the idea. Sleeping near his husband and waking up next to him completes him. The baby was an added factor. Viggo could not ask for anything else.

Viggo was already lying on his side when he felt the pillow being removed. Then he felt his husband snuggled close to him. Viggo lied on his back and Orlando’s head rested on his chest and his other hand held Viggo’s waist. Viggo was surprised, but very happy. He let his other hand hold his husband closer to him.

“Vig?....” Orlando whispered.

“Yeah, baby?..”

“I love you…”

“I love you, too….”

“We’re going to be okay, yeah?”

“Yeah, baby… we’re going to be okay… sleep now, babe…. I know you’re tired.” Viggo said as he caressed his husband’s soft curls and kissed him on the forehead.

Viggo could never be happier with this.

The following morning, Viggo was awakened by soft kisses in his neck.

“Baby…. Y- you’re awake…”

“Yeah… very much….” Orlando gave him the sweetest smile and continued planting soft kisses in Viggo’s body.

“Love… I… You don’t have to….”

“But I want to… It’s been a while… and… and I don’t want that bad experience to stop me from enjoying my life… from being with you… Please, Vig? W- we can give it a try?....”

“Yeah… I would really want to… but baby… I want you to know first that if you feel even a bit uncomfortable… tell me immediately and we will stop… no questions asked… okay?” Viggo wanted his husband too.. But he does not want to push him into anything which Orlando may not be ready. “And baby… please understand that no matter what happens… I want you to know that my love for you will never change… You… you don’t have to do this to prove anything to me…”

“I know… I just want to be happy… This is also for myself, Vig… For you and most specially… for myself….” Orlando is determined. He knew he just can’t hide in the shadows forever. He has to face his greatest fear. “ J- just… just no penetration…for now…”

“I know, baby… I know….”

The two spent a long time in bed. Viggo was very gentle with his husband. Everything went well. For the first time in a very long time, they were intimate with each other again.

Viggo could not hide his smile when he reported in the office.

“Hey, Vig… How are you man?... Everybody can see that smile plastered on your face…” Sean asked curiously.

“Sean… you’re my best friend… I am the happiest person in this planet… Orlando… I… we…. We had sex….”

“You didn’t force him to…” Sean’s face hardened.

“No! Of course not! He was the one who initiated it. Though… we did not do anal yet… but it felt so good… Sean… I love my husband…. I love him so much.”

“I can see…” Sean was very envious.

A week later, Orlando heard someone knocking at their door. He was alone in the house because the nurse brought the baby in the park.

“Who is… Simon….” Orlando did not expect the doctor to show up in their door step.

“Orlando! Orlando you have to come with me! Viggo met an accident! He’s in the hospital right now! Sean called me!” Simon was hysterical.

“What?! No!... No! It can’t be true!...” Orlando was taken aback. He panicked. But when he noticed Simon pulling him to a van… “Wait… I… I have to call my mom… first…” Orlando said as he tried to get free from Simon’s grasp.

“No… You can call her on our way…Come on… we have to get going…”

“No… I… I’m not coming with you….” Orlando said as he retreated from Simon. He did not notice a man in his back who easily held him tight. “W- who are you?! Let me go!”

Simon immediately retrieved a cloth in his pocket and placed in Orlando’s nose.

“Ummpp!!!!!!” Orlando struggled with all his might but the other man was just so strong.

“C’mon, Orlando… inhale it…” Simon whispered at Orlando as the younger man drifted to sleep.

The other man then lifted the unconscious young man and placed him inside the van. They immediately left.
