Summary: Glorfindel seduces someone he should not have; only to find out she is the one who just may be his match.

A/N Sorry this update took so long. Had major writer’s block but thankfully, I pulled out of that.

“You need to rest.” Elrond told Glorfindel after watching him with Brennil for a few minutes.
“ I will rest here.” Glorfindel said stubbornly, looking over at Elrond.” I am not leaving her side.”
Sighing quietly, Elrond could only nod in reply. They had this discussion every day for the last week and it was always the same. Glorfindel refused to leave her side for more then a few minutes at a time.
“At least eat.” Elrond ordered this time.” Or you will be in no condition to care for her.” He added
With a defiant look, Glorfindel reached over to the tray of food and picked up a small piece of fruit.
Elrond just rolled his eyes and went back to his work, checking on Brennil often. He was worried that she still slept, only opening her eyes for a few brief seconds every so often. If he did not know any better, he would have thought she may be fading but he still refused to believe this, not yet.

Another day came and went, with very little change in Brennil’s condition. Erestor was as worried as he was and Elrond could tell that Glorfindel was as well. Running his hand through his hair, Elrond decided something needed to be done, not just for Brennil but to ease the tension in the air as well. Glorfindel still refused to speak with the twins, though he was a bit friendlier with Elrohir. Elladan had become very quiet and Elrond had found him, quiet often, watching Brennil when Glorfindel slept as well.
“Come with me.” Elrond placed a hand on Glorfindel’s shoulder.
“ I do not wish to leave…” He started but Elrond cut him off with a look
“Now!” Elrond ordered.” Erestor will stay with Brennil.” He added
Glorfindel still hesitated and looked towards Brennil first then over to Erestor, who nodded in agreement.
“ Alright but I will not be gone long.” he said as he finally stood up and followed Elrond into his office.

Glorfindel arched an eyebrow as Elrond sat behind his desk and said nothing, not a word as he leaned back.
“What are you waiting for?” Glorfindel asked
“Not what” Elrond replied.” But who”
Glorfindel narrowed his eyes slightly at his old friend. Wondering what he was up to. He got his answer when the twins walked in a few minutes later.
“ I do not have anything to say to them.” Glorfindel growled
“ Yes you do.” He said.” In addition, I know they have something to say to you. It is time this had ended, if not for your sake then for Brennil’s”
Glorfindel looked at Elrond, his plan to just walk out ended when Elrond mentioned Brennil
“ How is this going to help her?” He asked quietly, refusing to look at Elladan just yet.
“ Everyone can feel the tension between you.” Elrond nodded.” In addition, I believe that Brennil can as well. She may not want to face this and has kept herself in a deep sleep for that very reason.” He said
“Where are you going?” Glorfindel asked as Elrond had gotten up and started to leave his office.
“ I plan to make sure Erestor eats and try and get Brennil to do the same.” He replied.” The three of you can sit here until this is resolved.”
Before Glorfindel could reply, Elrond left the office and locked the door on his way out. He could not help but grin as he walked away and headed back into the healing rooms.

Glorfindel finally looked over at the twins, who had been sitting quietly. Elrohir looked a little more calm then his twin. Elladan kept looking towards the door as if he was thinking of trying to just get through it and running off.
Glorfindel took a deep breath as he ran his hands through his hair slowly then looked over at them again.
“Why?” was all he could think of to ask.
Elladan could only shrug in reply. He hated feeling this way, he had never had any problems reply to Glorfindel nor had he ever been this nervous around him either.
“ We never meant to take things this far.” Elladan finally made himself reply.
“ yet it did.” Glorfindel replied, narrowing his eyes slightly.
“ Yes it did” Elrohir nodded.” And for that we will always be sorry.”
Elladan looked over at his twin and sighed quietly
“ Glorfindel,” he started.” Brennil made a comment about trying to find out if your feelings were real. It seemed like a good way at first.” He said.” The longer it went on the more Brennil hated the idea. She wanted to tell you before you found out and was worried you would hate her.”
Glorfindel closed his eyes briefly. When Brennil had told him everything, he had wanted to hate her. To make it easier to deal with the pain he had been feeling but no matter how much he tried, he could not make himself hate her.
“ Both Brennil and myself will have much to talk about.” Glorfindel replied.” However, what you did.” He added as he glanced at Elladan.
Elladan had to look away before he could reply
“ I will always regret what I did.” He said quietly.” She is and I hope always will be my best friend.” He said.” I never should have done what I did, I was not thinking straight.”
Glorfindel looked at Elladan and could see the truth in his eyes. He had been their age once and could remember some of the stupid things he had done as well.
“ If you ever do something like this again.” He growled, knowing no more was needed to be said.
Elladan nodded, taking the threat very seriously. He his not intend to ever pull something like this again. He could only hope that Brennil could forgive him and he would have his friend back.
The three of them continued to talk for a few more minutes before Glorfindel wanted to get back to Brennil. The twins agreed to join him this time as they headed there.
Elrond looked over as they walked in and he could tell that things had been settled, at least more then they had been up until now.
“How is she?” Glorfindel asked Erestor as he moved to lay down next to her again.
“ She still sleeps.” Erestor sighed.
“ We have noticed one thing.” Elrond spoke.” She seems to call for you more when you are not here.”
Glorfindel grinned to himself after hearing this. He leaned over and kissed Brennil’s head gently.
“Then she knows I am here.” Glorfindel replied.
“She at least senses that you are.” Elrond nodded.
Closing his eyes, Glorfindel allowed himself to drift into a light sleep. Elrond and Erestor shared a look, while Elrond grinned to himself

It was the next day that proved Elrond right. With things settled between Glorfindel and the twins, the tension in the air had eased and Brennil had slowly began to wake.
Glorfindel was asleep next to her and Elrond gave her a small smile when he noticed her looking around the room
“How much do you remember?” He asked her quietly.
“ I..” She had to stop to clear her throat.” I remember being at the lake and talking with Glorfindel.” She replied, turning to look at Glorfindel now.” He had left.”
Elrond arched an eyebrow slightly, not having known that Glorfindel had left her at the lake. It would also explain why she had stayed in a deep sleep for all this time. She had thought he had left her for good.
“Elladan brought him back.” Elrond explained the rest to her
Brennil nodded, having tensed up at the thought of Elladan. She did not blame him but it would be hard to face him for a while. She did want her friend back and would eventually have to talk with him.

Slowly she reached over and ran her fingers along Glorfindel’s jaw, smiling softly when he opened his eyes and looked at her
“You are awake.” He whispered quietly
“ I am” she nodded.
When Glorfindel wrapped his arms around her, she went into them willingly. She rested her head against his chest and enjoyed the feel of his hand in her hair.
“I did not think you would come back” She said after a while when Elrond had left the room to let them talk.
“ I could not have stayed away for long, even if Elladan had not come to find me I would have returned.” Glorfindel said
“If I had lost you for good.” She lifted her head to look at him but he silenced her with a light kiss
“ You would and will not lose me.” He replied
“ I am so sorry.” She said, resting her head on his chest once more.
“ As am I.” He said, closing his eyes as he held her.
When Elrond returned a while later, he found them both asleep again. This time he knew it was a peaceful sleep for them both.

Over the next few days, Brennil continued to get better. Elrond finally released her from the healing rooms as long as she promised to rest when she needed to.
“this is your room.” She told Glorfindel when he carried her inside.
“ yes it is.” He grinned.” And it is where you will be staying” he said. “ I plan to make sure you get the rest you need.”
Brennil smiled at him as he placed her down gently on his bed. She leaned back and watched as he went into the bathroom and she could hear him starting a bath. After a few minutes, he came back out for her.
“ You will be joining me?” she asked as e set her down.
“ I do not think that would be a god idea.” He replied, shaking his head
Brennil arched an eyebrow slightly and crossed her arms over her chest.
“Then I am not taking one either.” She said, stubbornly
Glorfindel looked at her, holding back a slight grin.
“ you are just as stubborn as you father.” He said
“ No, Glorfindel” she said.” I am far more stubborn than he is.” She pointed out
Glorfindel could not help but to laugh at her comment.
“so it would seem.” He said. “ You win, I will join you.”
Brennil gave him a smile, knowing she had won. Though they both knew, he had not put up much of a fight.
Once they were both settled in the bath, Brennil sighed softly as she leaned back against him and felt his arms wrap around her slowly.
“ This feels so good.” She whispered lightly. She could not keep from shivering lightly as one of his hands moved through her hair lightly
“ are you cold?” he asked as he felt her shiver
“ not even close” She replied. With her back against Glorfindel, she did not see his grin.
“ You are too tempting like this.” He told her.
“ you can just give in to temptation.” She had replied.
“ You were told to rest.” He said, kissing her shoulder lightly
“ only when I needed to.” She pointed out with a light laugh. “Right now I do not need to though I am sure I will later.”
Glorfindel let out a light moan as she had taken his hand and moved it slowly along her skin. When she passed it over her breast he gave in to his temptation and an his fingers over her nipple. He kissed along her neck slowly then made his way to her ear.
“ I think we should wait.” He said finally.
“Glorfindel.” She hissed at him when he whispered in her ear.
“Until we are finished this bath and back in bed.” He had added.
“You are such a tease.” She purred softly.
“I will admit to that.” He said. He took the cloth and ran it slowly over her back first then across her shoulders. He grinned as he heard her gasp softly as he continued to wash her slowly and teasingly.
“you are not playing fair” Brennil said as she arched against his light touch again.
“ I never do” he replied, nipping at the tip of her ear.” And you already know this.”
Brennil did not reply, there had been no reason to. She was also enjoying having him wash her hair now and closed her eyes to enjoy the feelings that were moving through her.
“Ready for bed?” Glorfindel whispered in her ear softly.
“More then ready.” She purred.
Glorfindel slip his arms under her and lifted her with him as he stood up. He did not bother with towels as he carried her back to bed.
“ We’ll get your sheets wet.” Brennil told him
“ It would not have been the first time” he grinned as he moved into the bed with her.
Brennil giggled softly as she turned onto her side and kissed him deeply when he turned his head towards her.
“ Are you sure of this?” He asked, sighing as her hand moved along his chest.
“Yes.” She replied.” You need to finish what you started when I was here last.”
Glorfindel groaned as he thought of that night in his room. It had taken everything he had to control himself with her.
“ I wanted you badly.” He told her, rolling her beneath him
“ And I wanted you.” She told him.” I almost told you everything at that moment.”
Glorfindel gave her a small kiss before he lifted his head to look at her again
“Perhaps it is better that you did not say anything.” He told her, seeing the question in her eyes, he continued. “ I would have been angry and my anger would have mixed with my desire.” He said.” I cannot always control myself when that happens and I would have taken you hard. I would have really hated myself if I had hurt you that way.” He said, kissing her deeply before she could reply.

Brennil melted into his kiss, Her hands slowly travelling along his back. She loved his muscles felt under her fingers. She gasped softly as she felt his member twitch against her and arched against him, needing to feel more of him.
“ I had planned to take this slow.” He moaned.
“ Just have me” she purred, licking along his ear teasingly
Glorfindel let out a light growl as he eased himself into her, burying himself deep into her depths.
“ You will be the death of me.” He moaned, kissing along her neck
“ Then we will both die happy.” She whispered in reply, gasping his name as he pulled back to enter her again.
With both their desire increasing, it did not take long before they were both moving against each other. She ran her hands over every inch of him that she could reach as she felt herself reaching her limits. She cried out his name in pleasure as he took her over the edge, then again when she felt him erupt deep inside her.
As she had promised, she rested peacefully in his arms afterwards. She was more then happy to be there with him and felt safe enough to fall asleep with him.

“They missed lunch and now dinner.” Erestor complained when he saw the two empty seats at the table during the evening meal.
“ They have some catching up to do.” Elrohir grinned, getting a look from Erestor.
“ I do not wish to think about what they may be doing.” Erestor replied,
Elrond chuckled lightly as he looked over at his advisor and friend.
“ It was bound to happen.” He said
Erestor made a face as she set his glass down and shook his head.
“All the same, would you wish to hear if Arwen was in someone’s bed or that the twins have seduced every ellith in all of Imladris?” He questioned
“ I am sure the twins have seduced not only all of the ellith here but half of the ones in Lorien as well.” He pointed out, ignore the question of Arwen on purpose.
Erestor looked over at the twins the same time Elrond did. They were both looking back at them with the best innocent look they could manage. Erestor just mumbled something before he returned to his meal. Elladan and Elrohir could not keep from laughing.
It had taken a few weeks for everything to return to normal for everyone. Elladan and Elrohir were back to being themselves. Elladan and Brennil had spent some time talking and had become friends again. Only Erestor seemed bothered by something and Elrond noticed it was whenever he saw Brennil with Glorfindel
“ She is happy” Elrond told him.
“ I know” Erestor said, giving a brief smile.” I only hope it stays that way.”
Elrond patted Erestor’s shoulder and went into his office to take care of some things.

Glorfindel had been sitting outside with Brennil. He arched an eyebrow when he saw some riders approaching. Elrond had not mentioned that hey would be receiving guests.
Brennil stood up as he did and he slipped an arm around her waist. It was how he felt her tense suddenly and looked over at her
“ what is wrong?” he asked her
“ What is he doing here?” She asked quietly
“who?” Glorfindel asked, looking at the rider and almost let out a growl as he saw who it was just as he heard Brennil’s reply
“Orophin”
