SUMMARY: Fun with LOTR

"Elijah and I don't seem to get along these days." Casey said to Annie, "We've gone downhill since the explosion, I don't think we'll be together for much longer."
"I know, it's been showing, neither of you seem happy anymore."
"What do you think I should do?"
"Tell him how you feel, it's the best thing to do."
"Yeah you're right, I think it's time that Lij and I went for a drive, I'll do it tonight."
"I'll be here for you when you get back," she said hugging me.
Viggo was listening in the doorway, which she didn't realise and said
"and big brother will be here also, if you want me to be."
"I love you to be, but don't you think it would be fairer on Elijah if you were there for him, after all I've got sis and Orli here, who has he got at?"
?"
"Point taken, all though I'm here for the both of you."
"You're such a good friend Viggo, I love you to bits." Casey said hugging him and kissing him on the cheek.

The air was cool, the drive was silent, they stopped at the drive in movie, ordered drinks and started watching the film.
"How do you feel about us?" she asked out of the blue.
"How do you mean?" Elijah answered.
"Well us, our relationship."
"We're going through a bad patch, but we'll get through it."
"Do you love me?" she enquired looking at him.
He looked away, "I don't know anymore," he answered truthfully. Those words ripped Casey in half like someone tearing a piece of paper. she didn't move, she willed the expression on her face not to change, but it did, tears were welling up in her eyes, she looked away this time.
"I think we ought to go our separate ways," she said, "although it would be good to remain good friends."
He didn't say anything for a while, just the there thinking, so Casey sat silent and let him.
"You're my best friend in the whole wide world," he said, "but you're right, we don't get on as lovers anymore. So maybe it would be the right thing to do."
They left it at that and watched the rest of the film, sort of.
"Where do you want to go or do I take you home?" she asked.
"Take me home." was all he said.
They drove to his place, he looked at her with big blue eyes that looked so sad and said,
"You take care of yourself and I'll see you again one day soon." he kissed her on the forehead. "Friends always." he finished and got out of the car, lit a cigerette and closed the car door. She watched as Viggo opened the front door for him, put his arm around his shoulders, then closed the door.
Orlando was fixing up some drinks, there were four glasses, who was the extra one for she wondered.
"How'd it go Casey?" he looked at her.
"We've split up, but we're staying good friends." she replied.
"Are you ok?"
"I will be, it's crazy but I don't feel to bad, so I'll survive. So, who's the extra glass for?" she enquired.
"We have a visitor and he has some excellent news, mainly for you."
"Me! who is it?" sounding surprised.
"Just go in and see," he urged. Casey put her brave face on and entered the living room. her heart skipped a beat, it was David Wenham. she'd always liked him, no, fancied him like hell was more like it.
"Hello." he said in that husky voice of his,
"Hi, how are you doing?" was all she could think of.
"David's got some great news for you, haven't you mate?" Orli said as he came in with the drinks.
David showed her a photo, it was Old Bill.
"Don't look so sad," he said "that was taken yesturday."
"Yesturday, but how come, it was blown up, I saw the burnt out shell."
"No, you saw the replica of Old Bill, Weta workshop didn't want to use your truck for the end scenes because the truck goes off the edge of a cliff and Peter's very good at remembering when someone threaten tak take his legs away." he smirked.
She looked at Annie and Orlando who both had big smiles on there faces.
"God I could kiss you!" she said looking at David.
"Don't let me stop you!" he looked at her cheekily, so she kissed him, all her sadness from earlier was temporarily forgotten.
"So when can I get it back?" she asked.
"Whenever you want," he replied.
"I'll go first thing tomorrow."
The night wore on and they talked, played cards and generally had a good laugh, she found herself looking at him more and more and occassionally he would catch her, she'd blush and look away and he'd smile.
"Yes, I definitely could." she thought as she was looking him.
"Definitely could what?" he asked looking at Casey.
Oh shit, not again. Annie laughed, Casey looked at her in despair.
"You just can't help it , can you Casey?" Orlando said, "the amount of trouble you get yourself into by thinking out loud."
"I definitely could too." David whispered in her ear. Casey blushed so hard that they could feel the heat from the sofa opposite.
"Well I must be going now, I've got a hard day tomorrow," he said.
A twinge of sadness came to her.
"Maybe I could call on you soon and we could go somewhere, grab a bite to eat."
"That'll be great." she replied.

"It's been one of those days today, the customers have been grumpy, the van broke down and the boss had a go at me for b bac back late from one of my run slots. Jesus, I don't even need this job, I'm just doing it for something to do, why am I putting up with the damn thing?" Casey said looking at Annie, "What are you so happy about?"
"Had a phonecall from Orli from the UK."
"That's nice, is he ok?"
"Yeah he's fine, the film's going well and he can't wait to get home."
"So that's why you're beaming from ear to ear is it?" she looked at her happy face, but there som something more about her happiness this evening. "Come on, out with it."
"In the papers over the t, pl, plastered on the front pages, a story about a Mr Brian Holmes, who has been gunned down, Orli read it to me, it's him Casey, he's dead. I never thought I'd be happy about someone being killed, but I'm over the moon."
They cheered and ran out into the garden, ran around it like a couple of school kids.
"Hey, let's celebrate, we'll lock up the house and cruise around in Old BIll, tease a few lads, just like in the old days, come on, it'll be fun." Casey pleaded.
"Why not."
She rushed into the house, changed her uniform for a t-shirt and jeans, let her hair down fixed her make-up and off they went.
"My, there's some talent about tonight, boy could I use some of that."
"You need to get laid," Annie laughed.
"You're not kidding and I know just the man to do it." Casey replied smirking.
"Do I know him?"
"Oh yes, you know him."
"Tell me then."
"No-way! anyway you'll find out soon enough if it works the way I want it to. I've invited him to your 21st bash."
We had a good few laughs that night, had a few flirts and thoroughly enjoyed ourselfs, just like in the old days. We eventually got home, absolutlely whacked but really happy.
"God it feels good to be free from all that mafia crap. I feel a great weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I can look to the future clearly now, I feel so relieved and happy." Annie said.
"I'm pleased for you , I really am, it's about time we had some good fortune come our way again. I'm off to bed and tomorrow I think I'm going to tell that boss of mine where he can stick his job. Goodnight babehe khe kissed her on the cheek and went to bed.
