CH 9
The now sleeping Arwen awoke to her Maivantvant shaking her form lightly, “Lady Arwen, you must get up, there are a band of Orc’s approaching the camp and we are preparing to leave.” The Maidservant stated.
“I can fight, where is my sword?” A sleepy Arwen spoke.
“Nay, Amras as commanded the two of you live at once!” The Maidservant replied with concern.
Now alarmed, Arwen asked, “Where is Larien, my sister? We have to find her as she will find a way to fight. She has always wanted to go into battle with those nasty beasts.” She got up hurriedly, changed out of her nightgown into trousers and a white shirt.
“I do not know, Mi Lady where your sister went off too.” The Maidservant answered as she watched Lady Arwen gather her bags and her sisters.
Then Arwen went out the door and into the night as she looked around to see scattered Elves everywhere. She franticly searched the surrounding area in search of her sister. In the distance she caught a glimpse of Larien running fast towards their camp.
“Larien, hurry we must leave!” Arwen yelled out.
Just then the band of Orc’s broke through the line of defenses as more Elves ran to guard their territory. Arwen’s face went pale for a moment as she realized that this was for real.
”I am coming, Arwen, I was coming to check on you!” Larien spoke as she neared her sister.
They hugged for a moment then Arwen said, “I do not want any foolishness, this is reality, please come with me.” Arwen spoke with only a moment to spare.
“I am coming with you and Legolas will be our guide back into Rivendell.” Larien replied.
Legolas came running up with two Horses, “I have brought my horse and one for the two of you.”
“Thank you, Prince Legolas!” As Arwen got on the brown and white colored one.
Then Arwen helped Larien get on the horse as Legolas hurried the two for in the distance the Orc’s were getting closer. All three rode off into the darken forest to return to Rivendell.
In the middle of the night, Lady Idril was tossing and turning in her chambers. She was dreaming of the band of Orc’s that had over run the defenses of where her daughters were staying for their punishment. She saw had the Orc’s were setting a fire and killing everyone they came into contact with in the camp. She awoke out of bed with a fling as tears streamed down her face.
“Something is not right, Elrond, our girls are in danger, I have foreseen it in my dream. Pleasetacttact Amras to see of what I dreamed was true.” Lady Idril said panicked!
Lord Elrond’s eyebrow rose, “What is this you speak of? Larien and Arwen are endangered? How can that be?” He was not happy about this as he telepathically contacted Amras.
“Amras, is everything alright in the camp?” Lord Elrond spoke in Amras’s mind.
As Amras was fighting he heard Lord Elrond’s voice, “Nay, Mi Lord, the Orc’s have broken through our defenses some how. Your daughters are in the care of Prince Legolas. He is aiding their safety back into Rivendell. I must get back to fighting. Please send reinforcements.”
Lord Elrond’s face turned a ghostly white, “Your dream was correct, love. Prince Legolas is bring the girls back home to us and is taking the path I instructed. I will have my guards ride out to meet them.” He was worried about the two girls but knew thas ols old friend would bring them home.
“What is this, Prince Legolas is taking the girls into Rivendell? I have not heard from him in so long, I remember his mother, such a beautiful Elf.” Idril spoke as she remembered the Queen of Mirkwood.
The three rode hair as hea heard the fighting in the distance. Just then a Warg Rider jumped out in front of Arwen and Larien’s horse. The horse had gotten spooked as the ugly creature tried to attack it, the horse bucked and Larien flew off the horse and onto the ground.
“ahhhhh” Larien screamed as she flipped off onto the sandy ground below. She hit her head on the rocky ground below. Larien regained her balance around her but came face to face with the ugly Warg rider. She grabbed her sword as she s at at it.
Legolas saw her fall off the horse and how Arwen was trying to calm the spooked horse as it rode off into another direction. He had a choice and decided to help Arwen calm the horse, as he knew Larien would be all right fighting.
Larien swung the sword as it tore into the flesh of the Warg. It whence in agony at the blade cutting its upper forearm. The blood splattered as it hit Larien’s shirt and the ground. The Rider on top jumped down off the beast and pulled out his sword.
“Aye, What do we have here? Fresh meat from a young maiden?” The Riders spoke so erred tone.
“Aye what do we have here? A young cub away from it mother?” Larien said mocking him.
The Riders blade swung and a deep cut sliced Larien’s arm as the blood seeped through slowly. She saw the red substance and ang angry as she gazed upon the creature, “I shall slay you beast!” Larien stated forcefully.
She let him make his first move as the blades danced again in the night. Clinging and clenching the metal hit until he tripped Larien causing her to fall to the ground. The cold blade touching the side of her neck, as her heart raced with what to do next.
Legolas finally caught up to Arwen, “Never mind me, go help my sister, Larien seems tough but she cannot hold her own fighting rg Rrg Rider. I did not need help~look she is down.” She screamed out.
Arwen loves her sister......Do you think Larien will be all right?......TBC
