painful memory of the past
Legolas looked outside, it was already morning again, he smiled and whispered, “So it is true, time does go fast when you’re having fun”
Haldir’s arms tightly embraced him as if he feared Legolas would vanish if he did not, his face lifted when he heard the words Legolas silently spoke and said, “Well good thing then that we have forever”
Legolas smiled and kissed him passionately, but Haldir, who at first kissed back eagerly was forced to break the kiss because there was someone knocking at the door.
Legolas waited behind Haldir when he opened the door. He peaked over his shoulder and saw it was Celeborn, he turned pale, his eyes widened, he could see it; Celeborn’s eyes darkened with desire when he spotted Legolas, he still lusted after him.
Legolas backed away to the wall at the back of the talan, all curled up into a small ball, reliving the memory
~flashback memory, is to be read in chapter 2 and 3 of “the sale for love” flashback is written in Legolas POV~
He tells me I can’t swim with my clothes on, that I have to take them off. I can’t refuse, he’s higher in rank than me so I take my clothes off, all the time making sure he can’t see more than my chest. I get in the water quickly.
He undresses himself and looks at me. I can see the look in his eyes, on his face, he desires me, he wants me…though I do not want him. I do not like the smile on his face. He’s telling me I will like it. I doubt it.
I move back, away from him, but he follows me. I get caught against a wall and became desperate, I can feel myself trembling madly.
He runs his hand over my chest, I am begging him to stop but he doesn’t lis I s I scream loudly, hoping someone would come, he just laughed at me.

Legolas was snapped out of the memory by someone gently shaking him, he heard words of comfort, telling him he was safe. He was shaking badly and looked at the person, it was Haldir. He had saved him again, like he did back then, his hero.
Haldir stroked his face tenderly and whispered “It’s okay love, he won’t harm you” and thought to himself “at least not when I’m with you, would he, he will try it, but I won’t allow him to”
Celeborn walked into the talan and said, “I know not if you heard about the tradition of marriage here” He looked at Haldir and took the surprised face as a no and continued, “Every elf from lothlorien that marries someone is to let the lord…or lady for that matter…have a night of intimacy with the bride.”
Legolas looked at Haldir in fear, he didn’t want to be intimate with Celeborn nor with the lady and knew that Haldir didn’t want to allow him to, but feared for his sense of duty.
Haldir looked at Celeborn and said, “I have never heard of this tradition and I honestly don’t believe it to be true, I will not allow you to be intimate with MY wife, MY love, true or false, tradition or not”
Celeborn was perplexed, knowing Haldir for so long he expected him to agree, he knew this was hard for Haldir to do, he always wanted to serve his lord and lady, but he made clear this wasn’t something he would allow.
Legolas looked thankfully at Haldir and whispered, “Thank you love”
Haldir smiled and still held him, it seemed somewhat protectively.
Celeborn looked at him and said, “You know what happens when you disobey Haldir”
Haldir glared at him and said, “I can’t disobey something that doesn’t exist.”
Celeborn narrowed his eyes, but knew that Haldir knew it was a lie and was not going to believe it so he turned around and left.
Legolas cuddled up against Haldir and whispered, “I’m so glad you were here, if you weren’t he would have…”
Haldir pressed a kiss on his forehead and whispered, “Sssh don’t say it” and was quiet for a while before he said, “Perhaps we should not stay here”
