Chapter 8
Author's note: Chapter is short, possibly very weird. I do apologize. Somehow, I got a touch tipsy on wine this evening, and I apologize a second time if you can tell! LOL! But it was very good wine, so it is alright! ;)
Title: Reading Between the Lines (8/?)
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Orophin/Erestor, Glorfindel/Lindir
Warnings: AU, sarcasm, bad pick up lines
Disclaimer: If they were mine I would be rich. Seeing as I am broke, they are obviously not mine. But good lord do they make dreams worth while!
Summary: Orophin's first visit to Imladris is fairly uneventful and boring until he stumbles upon a certain black haired advisor in the library. Now his goal is to win Erestor's heart before he heads home again.

Erestor rolled over with a groan as his shoulder met with something hard and fast holding its ground. Opening his eyes, he gave himself time to adjust, for his site to clear away the morning blurries and see where he was.
Gasping, he sat up suddenly, his eyes rushing around the library in a panic. Orophin jumped as well, startled by the arm that had been around Erestor crashing to the ground beneath them. “What… Erestor?”
“Oh… my… We are in the library!”
“Yes, I know.”
“NAKED!”
“I know that, too, Erestor, settle down!”
“I… I must get back to my rooms before someone sees us!”
“Be calm, love, it is still early. No one will be…”
His words were cut off by the sound of footsteps coming into the library. Sitting up the rest of the way, he glanced over at Erestor who was now sitting bolt upright as stiff as he could be. “Be quiet, Erestor. They will leave when they notice you are not here,” he whispered into his ear.
Erestor looked over at him and scowled. “You would have to have at me in the library and not wake me before this!” He hissed.
“Is anyone here?” a voice called from the direction of Erestor’s desk.
“Elrond! It is Elrond! Orophin! It is Elrond!” Erestor’s voice was a whispered panic attack into Orophin’s neck as he clung to him tightly.
“Shhh, now, it is alright. Get up and wrap your robes around yourself. We may be able to sneak out undetected.”
“How?!”
“We will, just be quiet!”
The two elves stood slowly, trying desperately not to bump shelves and cause books to fall. Grabbing the robes off the ground that they had been laying on, Erestor threw them on and walked towards the back of the row, holding the robes closed to hide his nakedness.
“Here,” Orophin gestured down another row. “Follow me.” Stopping at the end, he peaked out, eyes searching for Elrond. He located him by Erestor’s desk, sifting through some paperwork there, and thankfully facing away from them. “He is not facing us. We shall make for the door, but you need to run quietly. Do you understand?”
“Yes, just go! Hurry!”
Grabbing Erestor’s wrist, Orophin sprinted across the library, holding his own clothes on with his free hand as he ran. Reaching the door, he sighed with relief until he heard a chair scrape the ground. Turning to look back, he saw nothing but Erestor leaping into the air towards him just as Elrond turned.
Making it out the door, Orophin put Erestor back onto the ground but did not release him. “I do not think he saw us!”
“I hope not! I fear what he will say if he did! Go! We must get back to my rooms and dress properly!”
“As you wish!” Orophin pulled Erestor into himself again, holding him tight. Leaning down into him, he took his new lover’s mouth in a passionate kiss. He smiled into it as he felt Erestor’s hand on the back of his head, holding him close.
As they parted the kiss, he smiled down at the pretty face of the elf in his arms. Erestor looked into his eyes, returning the smile. In a calm whisper he said, “We forgot our shoes.”

Glorfindel whipped the sleep away from his eyes with the sleeves of his shirt. The ground beneath him was cold to the touch as he placed them there to push himself up to his feet. Straightening his clothes, he stood before the door he had slept against that night. He cleared his throat and knocked.
“Lindir? Love? Are you awake?”
“Are you actually still out there?!”
“Um, yes. Where else do I have to go?”
“Why not Melpomaen’s room, for all I care!”
“Lindir, please! Let me in! I want to explain!”
“You have nothing to explain. Leave me alone!”
“Lindir, these are MY rooms!”
“I do not care! Go away!”
Glorfindel sighed as he kept staring at the door. “At least let me get a change of clothes?”
He listened to the hurried noise around the room for several long, silent moments. Suddenly, the door opened a crack. He reached to push it and force his way in, but was cut short by several garments hitting him in the face, the door slamming shut quickly after. Picking up the clothes from the ground, he laughed. White pants, a yellow shirt, and a green outer coat. How fashionable.
Draping the clothes over his arm, he sighed again before walking off to the barracks for a bath and a change of clothes.

Orophin sat on the large bed in Erestor’s rooms, smiling as the smaller elf hurried around the rooms. “I have nothing that would fit you, I am afraid.”
“That is alright, love,” Orophin smiled to him. “I guess I will just have to lie here all day naked and hope you can’t find any clothes to fit you, either.”
“Orophin. Shhh! I need to get back to the library. I have much to do.”
“I wish you would not.”
“You know I must. Oh, Orophin. I wish I could spend the day with you, I do, but…”
“Then do it.”
“I cannot!”
“Elrond will not notice! He will be with Haldir all day!”
“He will notice when my reports are late.”
“I will help you with them tomorrow.”
“There are enough there to keep me busy until well after you leave…” Erestor stopped, suddenly realizing he was eventually going to leave. He looked at Orophin, both fear and sadness staining his features. Orophin smiled in response, standing to make his way to his new lover.
Putting his arms around him he hugged him close. “Do not worry about my leaving.”
“Why not? I must consider it, should I not?”
“We will cross that bridge when and if we get to it.”
“If?”
