The Fire Dance
Ch8
Not long after Erestor left, Glorfindel heard a knock on door. Throwing
on a robe, he opened the door and arched his brow "He is mine now, so
his ripe kissable lips are hence forth unavailable".
Cirdan chuckled, then shook his head and sighed "Aiya, you have snared
a most beautiful elf for yourself Lord Glorfindel. I fear that I must
now find another to pursue. I wanted to stop by and give you and
Erestor a gift".
Glorfindel snorted as he crossed his arms and leaned against the door
frame "So who is your next victim, Lindir? Melpomaen? They are both
rather quiet ellons...I was actually quite surprised to find out this
morning that Mel is Erestors second...now, what is this gift, where is
it, hand it over I want my gift now".
Cirdan smiled "You are much like an elfling this morning
Glrofindel...your bonding night must have been quite pleasurable".
The seneschal smiled and leaned his head against the frame as he sighed
"It was perfect, and this morning was perfect...I am still surprised to
be bound to a paper stroker and not a warrior, but I feel already that
this was a match well made".
The lord of the Gray Havens nodded, then handed his friend two wrapped
items. Glorfindel snatched them from his hands and smirked when he
opened them "Haven wine? Did you not torture enough elves yesterday
with this evil brew?"
Cirdan smirked and moved closer "Come now, I know you can handle it
well...tho you may want to keep an eye on the fair counselor when you
share it with him...and I must say, it is a most helpful wine, it has
already brought two stubborn ellons together. Though I was a bit
concerned last night when I saw the twin princes and prince Legolas
drinking it. I had to keep an eye on them till they passed out to make
sure nothing...inapropreate...happend between them. I was not looking
forward to having to intervene...glady, I did not have to".
Glorfindel snorted and shook his head "You should put a warning label
on it...'Do not drink if under 3000'...but now I am intrigued, who were
the stubborn ellons?"
Cirdan smiled and waved his hand as he began to walk away "Oh, just a
blindly stubborn Lord and King...have a pleasant day my friend, and
give my heartfelt wishes to Erestor".
A smile began to creep over Glorfindels face as he watched his friend
retreat down the hallway, being far from simple and having two
lifetimes under his belt, the seneschal sighed as he closed the door to
his chamber and whispered with amusement "Elrond and Thranduil ay?",
then placed the bottles of wine on the table and waited for Erestors
return.
~*~*~
Erestor swiftly made his way down the hall, inwardly cringing at the
glances he was receiving and thought 'I know they mean well with their
smiles and nods, but this is rather uncomfortable'.
Finally reaching the desired door, he lifted his hand to knock, but
stopped mid hit when it abruptly opened "Oh, fair morning Advisor
Erestor, I must give my congratulations on your snatching of the most
desired elf in all of Arda...well done".
Erestor narrowed his eyes and growled "I did Not snatch anyone, the
Valar set a trap that I was unaware of and inadvertently stepped into
it".
The elf before him snorted and shook his head "Stepped into it indeed!"
The elf quickly lost his smile and shuddered from the look he received
and Erestor then tilted his head as he continued his icy glare "I would
Love to continue this fascinating conversation Marchwarden Haldir, but
I fear I have not the time to devote my attention to a Lorien elfling
this morning, I need to speak with Melpomaen".
~*~*~
Cirdan slowly made his way back to the barracks, then stopped cold when
he noticed a certain elf standing alone by a tree, quietly reading a
book. The lord of the Gray Havens made his way over and drew close
"Fair morning penneth, I could not help but notice you here all by your
lonesome".
Elrohir smiled and inclined his head, then blinked surprised and
grunted when his lips were seized. Cirdan held him tight by the biceps
and Elrohir squirmed as the lords tongue gained access.
Only moments later, Cirdan gasped and held completely still as a blade
pressed against his throat from behind "You do Not have permission to
touch my younger half thusly".
The low hiss from the elder twin in his ear made Cirdan shudder "I
apologize. I meant no harm and would not have gone further if he told
me nay".
Elladan placed his lips against the lords ear and growled "Elrohir is
unable to speak...how was he to tell you hmm? You are well loved my
lord, and we have always had nothing but the utmost respect for
you...you helped our naneth, then assisted her in sailing west...but I
will not hesitate to mark you with my blade to remind you that my
younger half is special and not to be played with...you frightened him".
Legolas slowly reached out and placed his hand on his friends shoulder
"Elladan let him go, he hears you. You can not fault him entirely, you
know that Elrohirs silence is well kept...I did not even know of his
silence until I tried to speak with him alone on my first visit here".
Elladan realized him and stepped back. Cirdan arched his brow and
rubbed his neck as he looked at Elladan "You are rather strong
penneth", then turned to Elrohir "I am truly sorry prince Elrohir, I
did not know. I saw you standing here, alone, and I thought you most
fair. I just...I am sorry".
Cirdan blinked and tilted his head as Elrohir began to move his hands
rapidly and Legolas groaned "Not so fast Roh".
The younger twin slowed his movements and Legolas nodded "Elrohir says,
this is the motion for Nay...and this is for Aye...learn them. I am not
angry with you my lord, you knew not. Though I do suggest that next
time you ask first".
Elladan then placed his hand to his chest and inclined his head "And I
should Not have put a blade to you. I should have just pulled you away.
I tend to be a wee bit overprotective of Elrohir, forgive me".
Cirdan chuckled and shook his head "Eh, no harm done, I was in the
wrong. Well, I will not keep the three of you, good day".
As the three princes walked away, Cirdan leaned against the tree as he
thought of Elrohirs last words 'Though I do suggest that next time you
ask first', then smiled as he whispered "Next time...". The lord of the
Gray Havens stepped away from the tree and chuckled as he walked toward
the barracks "Oh I think a 'next time' can be arranged my fair and
silent prince".
