Erestor stood there beside the window of his room, as the sun raised itself and the new day had began. The last night he spent with tears, the tears of regret and loneliness. To much happened yesterday and it left him vulnerable, but at the same time angry and confused. He remembered yesterday's fights with Glorfindel, and new wave of tears splashed his eyes. (How could I do that to him. I am no better than Sauron.I wish that I didn't exist. It would be better)
Erestor thought as he lowered himself on the chair beside the window. (Maybe I should just leave, and never come back.) He thought about that, but he didn't know where to go. Rivendell was his home, and it would break his heart if he was ever far from it.
He placed his hands on his face hissing as his nose started throbbing. He remembered the yesterday's ordeal and how Glorfindel had hit him. He saw in his mind the angered face of the eldar and that sudden blow that was delivered on his face. Never would he thought that Glorfindel was capable of doing that to him, yes maybe to his enemies. But how wrong was he. (That was my fault. I provoked him. I deserved it.)
Erestor moved to his dressing room and picked the robe to wear. Today he had a lot to do, and he was thankful for that. The meeting was to be held today with the Mirkwood representatives, and he knew that there will be stubborn arguments and disagreements. but he didn't mind that at all.( Anything to put Glorfindel off my mind. Thank Valar he won't be there)
He thought about tonight's dinner with Meleron, and he smiled to himself. He didn't know why he had excepted the invitation, but now he couldn't stood the other up. (I mustn't give Meleron the false hope. I cannot love him, but we can be friends) Erestor thought as he braided his hair.
He knew that the last thing he needed now was any romantic attachment or thought about falling in love. He needed to let go of those emotions and to put them behind, if he wanted to survive. (When I get over Glorfindel and this madness called love, I will make sure that no one sneaks into my heart again.) This rule he set out for himself was simple and he would fight with all his strength not to break it. Love for him was emotion that held more bitterness than anything else. He loved the same elf for about century in secret, afraid to admit his feelings, and lived in the hope that the Glorfindel's arms would hold him one day. That one day would never come now, and he didn't have any tears left to cry. The regret did bother him and the thought of what may have been and what he had done had lived in his mind. His heart was sour, although it loved, it felt different then before.
His thoughts returned again to Meleron, the border guard who had invited him to dinner. Erestor asked himself if he could love somebody like that, but then he remembered his new made rule. He needed to talk to Meleron tonight, and to make him understand that he was just seeking friendship, and nothing else.
Erestor moved to his door, and opening it he left towards his study. While on the way he saw the servants passing by him, but the strange atmosphere was in the air. They gossiped behind his back ,glancing at him weirdly almost with the hatred in their eyes. Erestor didn't care for their whisperings and glances, because nothing could make him feel low this day as he felt yesterday. Today is the day when he would dry his eyes and let go of all his troubles. (They are not worth to cry).

Elladan came to awareness as the sun showered his eyes. He felt the strange wave of satisfaction as he stretched himself on the bed. He hardly noticed anyone else beside him as his thoughts were blank, and the sleepy mind was waking up. He remembered the talk with his father, and the bottle of wine that he wasted last night.
Elrohir woke up as he felt somebody beside him moving, and he looked around. He saw Elladan laying beside him, and his breath froze in his lungs. (Oh my God, What am I doing here. I should have left. Did he see me). He carefully looked at the other and he saw that he was awake. He wanted to flee from the chamber, but he didn't dare to move. His breathing slowed down as he waited for his brother to discover him in the bed.
Elladan heard a small gasp and he only then felt the other presence beside him. (Valandil) He turned his head to the left, but what he saw shook him to the core. He couldn't believe his eyes, and his mouth opened wide as to speak, but none of the words came out. (What is he doing here) He thought while he tried to remember last night. Everything came to him through the dim of thoughts and he gasped from the knowledge of it all.
"Elrohir...'" His shaky voice called for his brothers name, but that was the only word that he had said, as he stood up and fled from the room.
~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
"Glorfindel, come in" Elrond gestured to the eldar while he stood up from his chair.
"Please take a seat" Elrond said as he lowered himself on the seat behind his wooden desk.
He knew why the other wanted to talk to him and he waited for Glorfindel to start.
"Elrond, I wanted to apologize for yesterday. I was unforgivably rude, and all I can say is.... I am very sorry. I don't know what came over me." Glorfindel softly said as he bowed his head in the shame.
"I forgive you Glorfindel. Don't press yourself about it. You were upset. I have something to ask of you Glorfindel. Please resolve that matter with Erestor, and try to forgive him. We all make a mistakes, and I think that he deserves a second chance. Don't destroy your friendship over that thing that happened yesterday."
"I will try my lord. But it is very hard. Everywhere I go, I see Erestor and Valandil in embrace. Never was I betrayed like that, and I don't know what to do in order to forgive."
"I know it is hard for you, but try. Forgiveness is the thing that will make you feel better, and the best for you now is to let go of your anger. The youth is not worth all of this bitterness and fights.Believe me when I say this."
"I am not thinking about Valandil. I don't love him, I just..... "He stopped himself because he just realized what he had blurted out. He blushed as he punched himself mentally, thinking about the ways to avoid the rest of this conversation.
"You.... don't love Valandil? But why do you feel so hurt. I know that Erestor betrayed your trust and all, but admit it maybe you don't care for Valandil as much as you care for Erestor. That is it. How blind was I, not to see it. You love my councilor, don't you." Elrond asked him as he anxiously waited for reply. He leaned over and gazed at the others eyes, trying to read all the signs from the eldars face.
"Elrond.... Where did you get that foolish idea? I don't love Erestor,but.....I must admit that I like him. Well, I did, until all of this happened. Now I just carry a hate ."He replied with shaky voice, because he felt uncomfortable under others probing gaze. He wondered if he indeed carried the feelings of love for Erestor, and his mind was confused now. (Don't be ridiculous Of course you don't love him) He yelled at himself trying to sort out his thoughts and forget about Erestor for a while."Glorfindel.."The voice cut him from his thoughts and he raised his head to meet his lords eyes.
'Glorfindel , where are your thoughts my friend. You said that you don't love Erestor but why do you blush when I mention him. I for one don't believe you, and I think that you should be true to yourself and your feelings. That is all I had to say on this matter. It is breakfast time, and I would like for you to join me in the dinning room. There we can resume this conversation if you wish. "Elrond stood up as he waited for the other to do the same.
"Yes, my lord. I will join you for breakfast, and then I must leave to the borders. There had been to many sightings of the foul creatures, coming very near to Imladris, and I don't want to take any chances."
"Ah, my friend that is why I am glad to have you in my service. Nothing escapes you, well almost nothing."Elrond teased the eldar as he placed his hand on his shoulder. Glorfindel wondered what Elrond meant by that (well almost nothing). He let that thought go and smiled at the other, while they resumed walking towards the dinning room.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Valandil was in pain. He felt like his head would explode and his body had hurt so much, but he still tried to fight to regain his freedom.
(He will pay for this.)'Valandil mumbled through the peace of clothing ,as he tugged at the strap that was keeping his hands tied. Three hours passed since Huor had left, and he wanted to scream from the agony and fear.
One figure stopped at the door, not passing , just listening for something. He tried to open the door but it was locked. Valandil heard that somebody was pulling the knob and he mumbled louder, praying to Gods that person would hear him. Suddenly he heard very familiar voice and all his hopes for rescue went down.
"What are you doing here,Semar. Why are you trying to get inside my room?" Huor growled at the other as he gave him a dangerous look.
"Huor I heard somebody inside mumbling, and I wanted to make sure that you are alright.I now see that you are indeed alright, so tell me. Who is the unlucky elf inside."Semar asked him, with a mocking voice while he strained his ears and listened inside of the chamber.
"None of your business,Semar.Go away."Huor harshly said as he waited for the other to leave. The border guard was arrogant and annoying and he didn't like him at all.
"Yes, I think I will go away now. But I swear at the end of the day, I will free that so called 'slave' of yours, that is now inside of your room. You have a perverted mind Huor. Only you are capable of playing these sick games. You disgust me."Semar said and left the Huor behind him, with the anger building inside.
"Oh,I think you are next,my sweet."Huor replied and wickedly smiled at the retrieving Selmar's back.
