Dinner with a Lord and a Prince

Heidi was very nervous as she gazed in the mirror. Was it to much? Or not enough? Was she pretty enough for a Lord? Heidi turned this way and that way watching how the dress moved arouer. er. She wore a long white dress with crystal beads sewn in the bodice, the sleeves were long and full. Her hair was brushed and braided in the way of the elves. Another glance in the mirror shocked her. Her complxion had changed! She saw a smooth flawless complexion, brilliant red lips, and just a hint of a blush colored her cheeks. She shone with an odd radiance. She looked beautiful and elvish. Heidi turned away from the mirror before she became to vain. A rap on the door startled her. Recovering quickly she crossed the room and opened the door. Denise stood there in a dark green dress that set off her red, black hair perfectly. Heidi stared at her friend for she also had a graceful aura and radiance about her.

"So you've noticed it also?" Denise giggled.

"Yeah we look...elven." Heidi led Denise to the mirror and they looked at each other.

But something was missing a lack of something.

"Jewlery would be nice. A necklace would suit that dress." Denise sighed.

"I know but we don't have anything." Heidi also sighed.

They stood looking in the mirror, they were so engrossed in their images that they didn't notice Lord Celeborn enter.

"You both look absolutly beautiful." he said smiling.

Denise and Heidi looked up in shock, a pleased blush spreading over their cheeks.

"Thank you." Denise managed to say.

Heidi simply smiled and stared at the floor.

"But something is missing." Celeborn stood there pretending to contemplate what was missing. "Ah yes I know whats missing." Celeborn pulled two necklace's out of his pocket. The were sturdy mithril with a square diamond pendant hanging from them. He put them on the women, then he stepped back and smiled. "Yes perfect. See you both at dinner." smiling he turned and left the room.

Denise and Heidi looked at each other stunned before they smi

"Oh I have something to tell you!" Denise turned to face her friend happily.

"What? I know that you came in while I was sleeping. Well while Lord Celeborn was comforting me." Heidi laughed at the embarassed look on her friends face.

"Oh well...um sorry." Denise looked at the ground blushing more. "Anyways Legolas kissed me...Twice! Oh Heidi I think I love him!" Denise's pleased expression was replaced by a look of terror. "Oh my gods I love him..." Denise sank to the floor shaking.

Heid knelt and embraced her friend "Thats good! Whats wrong?"

"I don't know..." Denise looked at her friend. "It scares me."

"Why? He is a good man...elf...whatever." Heidi laughed lightly and Denise followed suit. "Come let us go to dinner."

Heidi and Denise were led to a big, open talan, the leaves of the mallyrn trees made for a natural roof. The stars shone through with a silver radiance and the moon was full. The talan was set candles all around for light, and a table set for four. It made for a magickal night. Legolas and Lord Celeborn stood with their backs to them. They were talking to each other. Legolas wore a long sliver tunic over black leggings, his hair shone gold in the candle light. Celeborn wore silver and blue robes, his hair seemed made of the starlight for it gleamed pure silver in the light. They both seemed to perfect, untouchable by time. Surely no mere mortal had ever seen such a sight as this. But then they were no longer mortal were they? They were immortal elves now even if they were only half elves. Legolas turned and saw them standing there. He smiled and tapped Celeborn ever so lightly on the arm. Celeborn turned and smiled, he and Legolas walked over to them. Celeborn took Heidi's hand and kissed it ever so lightly.

"Good evening ladies. I hope you are hungry for the cooks out did themselves today." Celeborn smiled and led Heidi to the table.

Legolas shook his head at the sight of Celeborn he was so obviously in love. Legolas took Denise's hand and kissed her cheek. She also looked at Celeborn and Heidi.

"He loves her I am sure of it." Legolas stated confidently.

"I think she can love him. She is halfway there." Denise smiled.

"Would you belive me if told you that I love you?" Legolas looked into Denise's eyes seriously.

"Yes. Because I love you to." Denise smiled and kissed him. Legolas smiled and led her to the table.

Celeborn looked at Heidi and smiled when the happy couple kissed.

"I think they just told each other that they love each other." Celeborn said as he poured wine into their cups.

Heidi smiled and took a sip of her wine as Legolas and Denise joined them. They all smiled at one another and they began to eat.
