revenging a loved one...or not?
Haldir was overcwithwith rage, anger flowing through his body. He drew his knife and kneeled, ready to cut the lord’s back slowly. Raising his hand he prepared to strike…
“Haldir no!”
Startled, Haldir looked up at the person that stopped him, it was his angel, his Greenleaf.
Legolas made his way to them and took the knife out of his hand and said, “If you do this now you’ll be just as bad as him”
Haldir looked down, knowing Legolas was right and whispered, “I just wanted…he shouldn’t get away with what he has done to my brother and more importantly to you”
Legolas smiled at the gesture Haldir wanted to make for him, but didn’t support it; he didn’t believe in violence just for revenge, he deserved a trial. He looked at Haldir and said, “We’ll go to Rivendell with him.”
Haldir nodded and tied Celeborn’s arms behind his back before getting up and said, “We’ll go as soon as possible”
Legolas smiled a bit, he had no doubt on his mind anymore, he loved Haldir and knew Haldir loved him just as much.
They made their way back to Haldir’s talan, where Rumil was still waiting for Haldir and made sure Celeborn couldn’t escape.
Haldir made his way to Rumil and whispered, “We’re going to Rivendell, he’ll get his trial, but we need you to come as well, you need to testify against him.”
Rumil’s eyes widened slightly. It was easy to tell he was scared. Softly trembling he finally said, “D-does that mean I…have to t-tell them w-what he d-did to m-me?”
Haldir gave a nod and lay a hand on his shoulder, gently comforting him and said, “Yes, but they will not look at you differently if you tell them, you can trust them. I promise. And you could help making sure he’ll never hurt anyone like that again”
Rumil gave a small nod, letting Haldir know he’d do it and left the talan to go pack his stuff.
Legolas was packing his stuff, though he wished to speak to Haldir privately.
Haldir walked to Legolas and said softly, “Are you really sure this is what you want? You know he deserves to be punished.”
Legolas nodded and said, “I’m sure Haldir.”
Haldir admitted to himself that it was hard for him not to just kiss the younger elf and fuck him into oblivion but luckily had good control over himself. He wasn’t happy with going back to Rivendell though, an old love was there.
He broke up so very long ago, but they didn’t part in a friendly manner. He just hoped all could be forgiven by this visit.
Legolas saw the feared and slightly nervous look that spread over Haldir’s face and whispered, “Haldir, what’s wrong?”
Haldir shook his head, as to trying to shake out the memory and looked at Legolas and said softly, “It’s nothing”
Legolas arched a brow but decided not to push it and whispered “I ehm, I need to talk to you”
Haldir arched a brow but gave a nod and sat down on the couch in the living room.
Legolas followed and sat down next to him and whispered, “I’ve been thinking about what you said, that day, in the pool and…I…I’m sorry I wasmeanmean to you, like I already said to you, but I…I guess I was just scared or something…I’d really like to let you proof me, though don’t expect too much of me, I don’t know how far I’d let you go”
Haldir’s eyes widened in joy and he stood up, lifting Legolas in the air before swinging him around and said, “You will not regret it, I promise” He smiled happily
Legolas smiled shyly and said, “My father will not approve of this”
Haldir looked at him and said, “We’ll worry about that after we told him…after we went to Rivendell”
