Chap 8

**warning** solo
The next morning, Penda woke shortly after sunrise, the sun’s light shinning into her room. The night before, after Penda and Will had gone to her room, her uncle had told her that Elrond was planning to leave in two days. Before then she wanted to go for a long swim down at the pond and knew this would probably be the only chance she would have. Quietly she slipped out of the house, taking a towel and comb with her.

A few minutes la she she was down at the pond. Stepping behind some bushes, she waited for several minutes before undressing. She wanted to make sure she had not been followed. While she waited, she pulled her hair from the confines of its braid, running her fingers through it as she did. Sure that she had not been followed, she started to undress, folding her clothes as she did. When she got to her shift she wondered if she should remove it also. Again she checked to see if anyone had followed. Seeing no one, she pulled the shift off also and dropped it onto the pif clf clothes.

Walking down to the shoreline, she stepped in slowly as the water was stilol. ol. When the water was up to her shoulders she submerged herself completely. She spent the next half hour swimming, occasionally rolling over and floating on her back. She was so busy enjoying herself and listening to the morning songs of the birds that she did not notice Elrond walking down to the pond, coming to a stop at the waters edge.

“Tell me, Penda,” Elrond said, “do you make a habit of swimming with no clothes on? If you do, please tell me and I will be sure to post guards when we return to Imladris.”

Penda shrieked and dove under. “Lord Elrond!” she shouted as she stood up without thinking. Immediately, Elrond turned his back; Penda looked down to see what was wrong, and gasped. She had floated into shallow water without realizing just how shallow it was. The water came up mid-thigh, leaving her exposed to anyone who may have been standing there. It was no wonder that he had turned as quickly as he did.

“What are you doing here?” she demanded of Elrond as she scrambled out of the water, running behind the bushes to get dressed.

“Enjoying the view,” Elrond thought to himself. Clearing his voice he said, “Your uncle woke as you were leaving this morning. He saw you carrying your towel and comb and assumed you would be down here. Breakfast will be ready soon, and he asked that I come and get you.” you, milord; I appreciate it. I did work up quite an appetite,” she said as she tried to comb her wet hair. Elrond, seeing that she was having some difficulty, stepped behind her; taking the comb from her, he ran it thru her hair until it was tangle free, then, wove it into a single simple braid down her back.

Penda did not know what to do. Never had anyone done this for her. Elrond’s hands were gentle as he pulled the comb through her hair. His nearness made her legs feel like jelly and, once again, the warm feeling she had the day before when he had forced her to the ground was coming back.

“Are you ready?” he asked, stepping out from behind her, handing her comb back to her. He had sensed her reaction to his closeness, and wanted to stop it before it went too far.

“Yes, milord,” Penda replied, shaking her head. As she did her stomach growled from hunger. Elrond looked at her, arching an eyebrow and causing Penda to blush. They headed back to the house in silence, both deep in thought. Neither one saw the figure moving along the tree line behind them.

He had come down to the pond early that morning, before anyone else was up. Sitting near some bushes, he was deep in thought when he heard someone coming. Peering around the bushes, he looked to see who it was. It was HER.

When he first saw her the day before, he knew he wanted her. He was amazed at how she had stood up to Lord Elrond. And, when Lord Elrond had pulled her to the ground, he wished it was he lying on top of her. Closing his eyes he imagined what it would be like to lie next to her, to make her his. He opened his eyes again and watched as she undressed, as she loosened her hair. He wondered what it would be like to ride her from behind, his hands wrapped in her hair, conquering her the way her stallion would a mare. Watching her walk into the pond, he became hard. He reached down and began stroking himself thru his leggings. Oh, how he wanted her. Wanted to take her, here, now. But he couldn’t. The others would come when they heard her scream, and he would make her scream, in pleasure. He would have to wait until they returned home, where he could coax her away from the other inhabitants of Imladris. And he would have her, willing or not.

He was stroking himself harder now, on the verge of reaching his peak, when he heard Lord Elrond. He watched Elrond’s reaction when he saw the girl naked. The fool! he thought to himself. The mighty Elf Lord wants her as bad as I do, why doesn’t he take her? He could, at any time, and she probably would not object. He had seen the way the girl looked at Elrond. He watched her as she came back out of the water and went behind the bushes. Both of them had their backs to him. He should leave now, he thought. Taking one last look, he watched as she bent down and pulled her leggings up. Ahhh, he thought, if only….Then turning, he made his way back to a tree line that bordered the property and back to Will’s place.

Will sat at the outside table and watched as Elrond and Penda walked back towards the house. He was glad to see that she was getting along with him, and that she had accepted his decision to send her to Rivendell.

Hearing the door to the house open, he turned to see Glorfindel squint his eyes as he stepped out into the bright morning sun. He motioned for Glorfindel to join him at the table, pouring a cup of hot tea for him as the elf sat down. They sat in silence, drinking their tea, and watched as Elrond and Penda approached them. Suddenly Penda reached out and touched Elrond’s arm, causing him to stop and turn to face her. Will and Glorfindel both wondered what was being said. Botew tew they probably would not find out.

“Milord?” Penda said as she touched Elrond’s arm, causing him to stop and turn to her.

“Yes, Penda?” he replied.

“Milord, I was wondering if…” Penda paused.

“If what?” he asked.

“I was wondering if you intend on telling my uncle about the incident at the pond earlier,” Penda replied.

“And what incident would that be?” Elrond asked, wanting to see what she would say.

Penda couldn’t believe it; he was going to make her say it.

“About me not…,” she stammered again.

“About you not what?” he asked. “The only thinrecarecall is finding you swimming, in the pond, as your uncle said you would be.” Then he turned and continued to the house, leaving Penda standing there alone.
