Chapter 7
Title: An Unlikely Lust (7/?)
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Haldir/Thranduil, Rumil/Legolas
Warnings: AU, teasing, mild unwanted touching, graphic sex
Disclaimer: If they were mine I would be rich. Seeing as I am broke, they are obviously not mine. But good lord do they make dreams worth while!
Summary: Thranduil wants to make his feelings known and help Haldir get over the object of his affections. And Orophin and Rumil have plans for knocking Legolas down a few pegs on the ego ladder.
***************************
Thranduil tried to blink off sleep as he rolled over onto his back. It took a moment for his eyes to adjust to the light, but once they did he sat up with a grunt.
The room was oddly quiet. Glancing around his surroundings, he couldn’t shake the strange feeling that something wasn’t right. He stood from the bed and walked to the bathroom, not bothering to cover himself with his robe. The bathroom was also empty.
Poking his head back out into the main room, he called, “Haldir?” He did not expect a response and did not get one. His stomach turned. Something told him his lover was currently with his son.
The churning of his stomach stopped and was replaced with jealousy. He reached out and picked up his robes from the back of a chair. Putting them on loosely, he brushed out his hair with his fingers and made for the door.
Slamming the door behind him, Thranduil made for the road and walked as fast as his feet would carry him. Reaching the talan his son was staying in, he approached the door. Without hesitating, he banged on the door hard. “Legolas? I need to speak with you.”
He was met by silence. His anger flared and he banged on the door again, wincing slightly at the pain this caused his knuckles. Silence again.
Thranduil growled lightly and pushed open the heavy door. His eyes widened at the mess strewn before him, especially the quiver on the floor and the arrows strewn about. Legolas was messy, he knew, but he was not usually this careless with his arrows. “Legolas?” he called, looking around almost panicked. “Are you here?”
There was no reply. He looked at the candle by the bed and noticed it burned low. He walked to it and snuffed the fire with wet finger tips. He took the moment to glance towards the bathroom. “Legolas?”
Again, no response. The churning returned to his stomach as fear took him over. He was worried about his lover more now, but he feared for his son, his first priority. He walked quickly for the door and left, not bothering to shut it again.
*************************
Haldir stopped at the foot of the small hill and stared at the scene before him in pure shock. Everything he wanted to say came at once and formed a knot in his throat.
Rumil got to his feet and tried to smile innocently. “Haldir! Uh… hello!”
“Hello, Rumil. What is going on here?!”
Haldir came closer and looked at the naked form of the prince bound to the tree. Legolas tried to remain as proud as he could, and looked down his nose at him. With a huff, he looked away. Haldir sneered at him in response.
“This really isn’t what it looks like, Haldir, I swear!”
“It looks like you have stripped the prince naked and tied him to a tree. It also looks like you were servicing him. So please, tell me what it really is. I cannot wait to hear this!”
Rumil swallowed hard and glanced back at Legolas, still looking away from Haldir. “It… I… it was not what you think you saw. Honest! I was… I was… trying to untie him!”
“Oh?”
“Yes! I was walking down the road and saw him like this. I was just coming to his aid!”
“Oh, get over it, Rumil,” Legolas called from behind. “One does not untie another by sucking the ropes out through their groin!”
Rumil’s face flushed and he turned back to his brother. Haldir looked at him, his arms crossed in front of him. “Lord Celeborn will not be happy when he hears of this.”
“You would take this to Lord Celeborn? You would get your own brother into trouble?”
“Yes, if my own brother was doing something so horribly wrong as torturing the prince.”
Rumil moved to defend himself, but was cut off. “Haldir…” The brothers both looked over at Legolas. He sighed. “He is doing nothing wrong.”
“What do you mean?”
“He… he is only doing what I asked.”
“You asked to be tied to a tree and violated?”
“Yes. I rather enjoy being tied up. Actually, Rumil protested, but I threatened to make something up to get him into trouble with.”
Haldir looked at him questioningly. Legolas kept eye contact with the older Silvan, shifting slightly against the tree and trying to remain in control of the situation.
Rumil just looked at him with his mouth open. Maybe the little snob had changed his ways after all.
********************
Celeborn groaned upon being jolted from his slumber. He turned over onto his back in time to hear the knocking again.
“Oh, what is it? Just come in!”
The door opened and Thranduil stepped inside. Celeborn froze. “I… I am so sorry, Thranduil, I…” he took in the disheveled look of the fair elf before him. “What is wrong? Has something happened?”
“I cannot find my son. I thought… his room is a mess and he is not there.”
“Is Haldir looking for him?”
“No. I mean, I do not know. I cannot find him, either.”
Celeborn sighed. “I saw him not long ago, right before I came to bed. He was looking for his brothers. Rumil especially. He was rather panicked and in a hurry.”
“Do you think it involved my son?”
“I do not know. I would think he would have woken you.”
“Maybe.” Thranduil turned to leave.
“Wait.” Thranduil turned to look at Celeborn as he stood from the bed, pulling a blanket free to cover himself. “What is happening here tonight? And since you have come. Everything is strange.”
Thranduil closed his eyes for a moment, breathed deep, and opened them again. “Haldir… is interested in my son.”
“Yes, I know, I believe most of Lothlorien is aware, but…”
“But I bedded him instead. That is why I asked for him to be my personal guard, so we could spend time together.”
“That is not…”
“It is fine, Celeborn. He wanted it to remain quiet, but the closer the time of our departure gets, the more frantic I become. I believe I may be falling for your marchwarden, even though I know it will lead to nothing but heartbreak for me in the end.
However, he still wants my son. I had believed that he went to visit him tonight and went to his talan. Which is when I found the mess.”
“Oh no.”
“What is it?”
“If he did indeed go to Legolas tonight, then he found the mess, too. Which is why he was panicked and looking for his brothers. I sent Orophin to guard last minute and he was upset about breaking plans with Rumil. Haldir made suggestions that his brother was either in trouble or causing it.”
“Do you think he would do something to my son?”
“It is not how I know Rumil, but I cannot be certain. We need to find them.”
Thranduil turned again for the door but was stopped by Celeborn’s hand on his shoulder. “Wait. I want to come with you.”
“Why? It is my son.”
“Yes, I know, but Haldir is missing, too.”
Thranduil looked into Celeborn’s eyes and saw more than worry there. He smiled. “Not just your marchwarden, I assume.”
Celeborn blushed and looked to the floor before turning to retrieve his clothes.
