Her name is Kathleen and yes she may be whiny and somewhat loud at her sisters and so forth.
(1) she is the oldest making her the one responible for her sisters who she loves dearly.
(2) She has very right to be bossy, considering every single adult is gone from their world even their beloved parents!! How would you feel if suddenly your parents were gone??
(3) Kat is having a bit of trouble with Haldir, but that what makes the plot, why is she like that?? Does she like him? Or does she hate him?? Shes shy around cute guys, she gets tongue tied. Shes a kind person, thats why shes so wary of Haldir.
Besides maybe somepeople should reread the story, as I have written its is only fiction
