Healing
When Rumil next awoke it was dark outside, smiling he snuggled closer to Glorfindel. He ran his fingers along the elda's exposed chest. Sighing blissfully he could only hope that this dull ache in his heart would go away. He knew the only way it would is if he talked to his brothers and he wasn't ready for that yet. Glorfindel tightened his hold on Rumil as he woke. He saw Rumil gazing at him and he felt tentative fingers brush down his chest.
"How do you feel?" he asked his new mate.
"Better but my heart still aches from the pain of my brother's rejection." Rumil admitted softly as he stilled his fingers.
Glorfindel laid his hand over Rumil's.
"When you are all better I shall write Lorien and tell everyone what has transpired."
Rumil smiled and turned his hand around so they were holding hands. He leaned in and kissed Glorfindel lightly on the lips before he pulled back blushing. Glorfindel chuckled and kissed Rumil on his cheek.
“I can only hope they are not mad at me for fading or for our bond.” Rumil spoke of his deepest darkest fears.
“If they do then they are not truly brothers are they?” Glorfindel pointed out. “Do not worry pen-neth all will be well. Rest up love.”
Rumil yawned and nodded as reverie claimed him yet again. Glorfindel watched his beloved sleep before he to nodded off.

Four weeks passed quickly as Legolas, Glorfindel and the twins helped Rumil regain his strength and confidence. Rumil knew that soon he would have to complete his bond to Glorfindel. The elda was not pushing him and for that he was grateful. Glorfindel had written Lorien a week ago so it was no surprise to see a party arriving headed up by Haldir. Glorfindel and the twins went out to meet the party and Rumil sat in the halls of fire. Ever since his brush with Mandos he grew cold and tired easily when not in the presence of his love. Glorfindel assured him this would fade with time. Right now he was sipping tea next to the fire awaiting his family.

It had been horrible for Haldir and Orophin when Rumil left Lorien with Glorfindel. They worried about him constantly and felt horrid when Galadriel, Erestor and Elrond and confronted them about their behavior. They had not realized they were treating their brother so badly. When the missive had come they felt even worse. Rumil had almost died but Glorfindel had pulled him back. As they neared Imladris they saw Glorfindel and the twins standing there but no Rumil. Was he ok? They dismounted and looked at Glorfindel who regarded them coolly. He greeted his lord and old friend warmly before he spun on his heel and walked to the halls of fire. They had no choice but to follow.
