The Last Supper
Chapter 63
*Three Years Later*
"Daddy daddy daddy daddy daddy!" I heard feet running down the hall.
"Oh my!" I heard him laugh. "You've gotten bigger!"
I grabbed a towel to get the flour off my hands and walked towards the front door where Jordie had pinned Elijah. "Jordan!" I laughed, "Let him up!"
"Hi." He said kissing me.
"Hi." I smiled and led him into the kitchen to sit down to dinner. Jordan crawled into his lap. "How was the shoot?”
“Great, it was a good crew. I need to go back in a few weeks for ADR work though. It’ll be a weekend trip, thought we could all go.”
”Sounds fun, I’m sure Jordie would love to see her “Uncles” again.” I laughed and took his hand, “I have something to show you."
"What's that?"
"We got the portraits of Jordan back today." I handed him a small stack of pictures.
I watched him thumb through them, anticipating when he got to the last one. He did.
"Sarah..." He smiled and held it up. "This is a photo of a...a..."
"Baby." I smiled. "It's of a baby."
He smiled and kissed my stomach, and then we all sat down to eat. It was almost perfect, even with Jordie and Elijah throwing peas at each other. This was my life, my dream.
*Rod Sterling steps into view*
"A family sitting down to dinner. A husband gets news of his second child. A woman is given the wonderful gift of having her dreams come true. A woman that finds herself in the welcome arms of the Twilight Zone."
