Shoping Frenzy
Chapter 62
After our lunch we decided to hit the Streets of Southpoint. Dom and Heather looked like they wanted to separate from us, so we decided to pick a time and place to meet up later. I watched the two of them walk off, Heather laughing at something Dom had said and playfully smacking him in the shoulder. "So where too?" Elijah asked. "Never been here before."
"Well I want to go to Strasburg Children and get a dress for Jordie." I said, and pointed off towards where I knew the store was. Entering the store with a little one of my own was strange. My mother dressed me in their clothes when I was a small child, and I'd always imagined buying a dress for my own little girl someday. I found the perfect one. Elijah laughed when Jordan grabbed at it as I held it up for him to approve. It was a delicate day gown, in a pretty pearl pink. We picked up that one and a few for when she was a little older.
Walking back out into the mall we just wandered around randomly. Going into a few children’s clothing stores here and there, some stores for us. When Elijah saw the F.Y.E. Music store he gave me those puppy dog eyes and we walked in. I took Jordan over to the DVD's while Elijah went through the CD's. I picked up a few Veggie Tales movies, and some of the Disney movies I knew I was missing. Walking out with a bag each, we saw Dom and Heather walk into Hot Topic. Since it was on our way down we decided to pop in as well, I wanted to see if they had a new Dashboard Confessional's CD. We saw Heather looking at the novelty t-shirts, Dom was in the back flipping through the posters. He laughed, "Heather!" He stepped aside so that we could see, it was poster of Legolas surrounded by highlights and flowery borders.
Elijah walked over, "Aww...no hobbit stuff."
"Not true!" I smiled and pulled Elijah over to the girls shirts and pointed to a Merry and Pippin shirt.
He scoffed, "Well no Frodo shirts then." He crossed his arms and pouted. "Who'd buy one with those two wankers anyway?"
"Umm...I've got one." I laughed and kissed his nose when Dom punched his shoulder. I walked over to the CD rack and picked up a few, finally deciding on a Billy Talent one and a Queens of the Stone Age one. We then got a cute little toy Fraggle doll for Jordan, the only suitable thing we could find in the purely gothic store. When the four of us walked out Heather reached around Dom and tugged on something attached to one of his belt loops. When the turned into another store we got a good glimpse. Dom had bought fuzzy pink handcuffs with black bow ties. Elijah raised his eyebrows and nudged me laughing.
"Wow..." I laughed.
