Over the next couple of weeks plans for a cerebration in honor of Ecthelion and Glorfindel’s reaching the rank of caption were under way, much to the displeasure of the two. Every were the two went, there was someone wanting to congregate them or partake so piece of wisdom on them. Two days before the cerebration was to take place tragedy struck in the form of a missing patrol parity of which both Glorfindel and Ecthelion Adas were part of. What made it worse for the two as they were suppose to be on that patrol but their Ada’s had taking their places to insure the two would be there for the ceremony. The day the cerebration was to take place the remains of the two Lords were found, both killed by orcs. In less then a week their Nanas joined their Adas. Each new Lord took the deaths of their parents differently. Ecthelion looked to his secret love to help him through, while Glorfindel took the guilt into him. For weeks no one saw him and when they did his beloved pet was not with him, many a rumors went around that he had started taken the guilt of his parent’s death out on his poor pet, but none knew the truth which was hurting Lindir more with each passing day, he begged his Lord to check on his friend. It was another three days before Ecthelion found time to go see Glorfindel as he was finding the job of being Lord of a great house was greatly demanding of his time. Upon arriving at the House of the Golden Flower Lindir and he was shown in to a small waiting room and asked to wait, which surprise him as he had always had free range of the house. A few moments later Glorfindel came into the room asking what he needed as he was extremely busy.
“I thought maybe you and Erestor would join Lindir and I for dinner tonight,” he asked.
“Erestor is not feeling well today, and I am much too busy. Maybe another night.” Glorfindel replied.
“Erestor is not feeling well? May I see him?” Lindir asked.
“Why do you want to see him?” demanded Glorfindel.
“No reason other then I have not seen him in awhile and he is my friend, “ answered Lindir.
Glorfindel looked angrily at Ecthelion saying, “You should teach your pet to mind his place Lord Ecthelion.”
Ecthelion grabbed Lindir and headed out of the room saying, “excuse us Lord Glorfindel, I offer my apologies for the inconveniences to you today.
As they left the house Lindir had a great fear that he would never see his friend again.
