Chapter six
Chapter six
Elijah had made up his mind while getting dressed. He wanted Dominic and Dominic wanted him, but it had taken thirteen beers to bring it out and not enough time to exercise his desires. Elijah decided, he had to have him now and Dominic was not going to stop him.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Elijah pushed Dominic’s shoulder and rolled on top of him, lips still sealed. Elijah played a warm hand across Dominic’s chest and , finding a tawny nipple, took it between his thumb and forefinger and squeezed hard.
“Ahhh!” groaned Dominic, into Elijah’s open mouth, as the sensation sent a series of jolts of pleasure along his spine, making his breath catch in his throat.
Reaching down, Dominic grasped at Elijah’s round ass, tightening as he rubbed against Dominic’s firm erection. The kiss finished and Elijah moved down, leaving a trail of kisses in his wake, to nibble at Dominic’s taut nipples. Dominic groaned long and deep in his throat, grabbing the back of Elijah’s neck and, running a hand over his T-shirt, dragged it over his head. Elijah moved to give the other nipple the same attention. Elijah bit it playfully then soothed the bite with a swirl of his tongue, as Dominic’s breath caught in his throat. Elijah slowly kissed his way lower, following a trail of soft hair and, as the path ended, dipped into his navel on his way past. Dominic couldn’t believe it was happening and then he began to panic.
This was going too far, too fast. He was taking advantage. Elijah wasn’t himself.
As soon as he regains his memory, he’s going to regret this…
and Dominic was going to regret his next actions.
Suddenly, he grabbed Elijah’s fingers struggling with the opening of his jeans, and pulled them away. Elijah looked up, confused.
“We can’t.” was the only explanation Dominic would offer, then he stood and headed for the bathroom.
“Why?!”
Elijah called after him, lunging and latching onto Dominic’s trouser leg.
“Your not yourself, your different.” Dominic said, avoiding eye contact.
“These wounds,” replied Elijah, indicating the bandages. “Have not messed with my feelings for you…”
Dominic stopped struggling to get into the bathroom and stared into those piercing blue eyes, crinkled with confusion, and sighed, he could get lost in those eyes.
“Don’t you remember how we were before?”
Elijah shook his head.
“We were friends, just friends. Sure things got complicated at times, but always only as friends. I think that as soon as you remember that, you will regret whatever we may or may not do.”
Elijah relinquished his grasp with surprise and Dominic stepped into the bathroom and made sure he locked the door. Standing in the shower, the hot water beating against his back, Dominic thought of how far Elijah was prepared to go, to change his mind.
Lij won’t understand…I can’t…not after what happened…
Dominic sighed, holding back tears that threatened to fall, then realizing he was still fully erect, thought of every thing Elijah had and could have performed for him and relieved himself, softly whispering Elijah’s name as he came.
Dominic left the bathroom, clean and clothed, to find Elijah sitting in a huffy silence and staring into space.
“Where’s the DVD case, Elijah?” asked Dominic.
Elijah pointed to where it lay poking out from under the couch, refusing to speak a word. Dominic retrieved it and after replacing the DVD into the case said
“I’m taking the DVD back, I’ll be a while…Sorry.”
Dominic almost whispered the last word. Elijah turned around to look at the outwardly tough man in surprise, but he had gone. Elijah turned on the television and waited.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Midnight came and went and still Dominic did not come back. Eventually Elijah gave up waiting and reluctantly went to bed.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Sunlight was streaming through Dominic’s window and Elijah wondered what time it was. When memory finally woke in Elijah’s mind he jumped up, flung on the bathrobe and quietly opened the bedroom door. There was Dominic, sprawled on the couch, his eyes closed and red possibly from crying, his chest gently rising and falling in slumber. Elijah closed the door and crawled into bed, relieved that Dominic had made it back in one piece, and drifted into sleep.
----------------------------------------------------------------
When Elijah next opened his eyes it was getting dark. Startled, he realised he had slept practically the whole day. Getting up, he went into the living room to find that Dominic had also slept the whole day away and was still asleep. Kneeling beside him, Elijah ran his hand through Dominic’s silky locks and Dominic sighed in his sleep and began to wake up. Before he could fully rouse himself, Elijah stopped what he was doing and searched the cupboards for something to eat.
“What time is it?”
Elijah glanced at the clock on the DVD player.
“Quarter to five…in the evening.”
Dominic moaned and ran a hand over his face.
“You’ve started talking to me again, then, Lij?”
Elijah nodded,
“And you’re calling me ‘Lij’ again…anyway, I have to talk to you, otherwise I won’t find out where you went last night, and why you came back so late.”
“I just when out for a while…”
“Where? Were you drinking?”
Dominic groaned into his palms.
“You sound just like my mother.”
“Were you?” Elijah pressed wanting to get to the bottom of it, his face screwed up slightly in frustration.
“No I wasn’t! If you must know I was sat on the bench outside!…Thinking…”
Dominic yawned, showing a straight set of pearly white teeth. Elijah sympathised with Dominic, calming himself down he grabbed Dominic around the waist as he swayed unsteadily on his feet, and lead him into the bedroom. After lying him down Elijah accidentally brushed his hand against Dominic’s forehead and jerked it away, surprised at what he found.
“You’ve got a temperature!”
“Great!” Dominic replied sarcastically, giggling slightly with deliriousness.
Elijah went into the bathroom and ran some cold water over a flannel, returning he placed the flannel over Dominic’s brow and, finding a thick duvet, dragged it on top of him, then left Dominic to sleep it off, going back only to put a glass filled with water and ice cubes on the bedside table. Elijah sat down on the couch , still in the bathrobe, pressing his face into his hands then pulling back when he caught a stitch with his finger.
God, I hope he’s OK…
